October 1Oct 1 I have IoX setup at my church controlling all the HVAC and lights. There are a bunch of people who I want to give access to the system, but setting them up is a bit of a hassle. No way in the world they are going to do a reasonably good job at setting up their own favorites. So, would it be a good idea to backup my own personal UD mobile, then create a UD mobile profile that is good for the church, then backup that profile and restore it to each person's phone? Then restore my own profile back to my phone. Also, do backed up profiles on an Android recover to an Apple?

October 2Oct 2 I recommend using eisy-ui going forward. If it is the same 'user' any changes made to favorites will propagate to all users. Until we have an eisy-ui mobile app just open directly with link. We are in the process of verifying mobile compatibility, most of the newer pages are mobile compatible, some of the older pages may require horizontal scroll/zoom/etc.Release notes for 1.3.8 - eisy can now be accessed remotely at https://{uuid-no-colon}.isy.io

At some point it would move into maintenance only, just meaning no new features, bug fixes and required app store updates/certs/etc updates. Some of the newer implementations in eisy-ui, like any Protocol Page (Insteon/Zwave/etc), already have both desktop and mobile implementations and size correctly on any screen size, some of the older screens need to be reworked for this requirement, including favorites. The issue with UDM is it supports much of the legacy hardware/firmware and most data is hosted from within the app (due to limited memory on ISY994), So it is very difficult to implement new features without breaking for legacy users. Due to the same memory limitations in ISY994, UDM required a separate app backup and synchronization both huge pain points. All of this is solved in eisy-ui and any mobile wrapper.
October 7Oct 7 Thanks Javi, good update.I hope a Favorite Home page like this will still be possible,Very very handy. Edited October 7Oct 7 by mmb
Sunday at 02:34 PM4 days @Javi If UDM is going to get phased out, it would be nice to be able to "Port" all my favorites to the Eisy Ui Favorites page as many many hours have been invested in them in terms of layouts, links, etc so that they are iPhone friendly etc. It will be a nightmare to recreate each favorite I have with the conditional advanced settings of colors, icons etc. thanks.
Sunday at 03:17 PM4 days Author @Javi What is the logic of doing away with a purpose built app for phones? Seems like every other company out there tries desperately to get you to install their app rather than use the web interface.

Why do I need to install the reddit app to read a post on mobile, this is not needed on Desktop? Same with FB messenger, etc, etc.20 hours ago, apostolakisl said:@Javi What is the logic of doing away with a purpose built app for phones? It is not "doing away". We do hope to have an eisy-ui app soon, custom implementations for things the browser cannot do on mobile, or are not directly related to eisy, all other things will be eisy-ui. E.g camera-permissions-for-qr-scanning, bluetooth-permissions-for-eisy-wifi-configurations, location-permissions-for-geofencing, and Portal Account support without needing eisy to be online. At the same time allowing users to use the browser to control as much as possible. This was impossible with the legacy isy apis due to limited memory on isy, we are finally at a point where we can drop use of the legacy methods in the ui.

So we are likely months out before we can even investigate the possibility
