I have a program in my controller that is no longer relevant. I tried to delete it, but it keeps executing. I removed all devices and scenes related to the program, re-added them and re-configured everything, but the program continues to execute. I've rebooted the controller, and the program still executes. In case it's relevant, I had a set of pool lights that, when you turned them on, if you turned them off and back on again, they would change colors. So, I programmed them such that when I turned on my pool light key pad button, it turned the lights on, waited, turned them off, waited and turned them back on. I have since replaced the lights. I probably have the term backwards but I bought the Garage IOLinc over a year ago but really never used it mainly because the issue is when the door is closed, the system shows it as "On", so makes it a pain when putting it in scenes. I vaguely remember someone telling me I can change the sensor but I never did as I figured it would be expensive. Now that I've installed my alarm I know more about normally open, normally closed etc. Might have the terms reversed but sounds like mine is normally open since to me it should say ON when the door is open. Please Help. I have Keypadlinc controlling my two garage doors. It is working for the most part. However, if the garage door is opened via a remote (not insteon), I am not able to get the status of the keypadlinc to reflect the open/closed state--i.e., the Keypadlinc does not light up correctly. I confirmed in ISY994 that the Keypadlinc for that button is "ON" but the light does not reflect the status. In fact, I cannot get it to reflect the status of a water sensor linked. When the water sensor tripped, it showed in ISY994 that Keypadlinc button is ON, but the the light does not illuminate. Does this have something to do with the fact that I have the buttons on…

All of a sudden I have noticed many many status updates on several units in the Log. Most are related to a motion sensor at a time when no motion should be detected. Also several X10 messages are sent when not requested. My PLM is at that magical two-year life span. Should I just go ahead and change the capacitors, which I have on hand, at this time? Or do I have some other problem? Everything else is working smoothly, with no phantom activations.

So, I don't currently have the power module on ISY. I currently use the Dashbox to push power data to ISY variables. However, I can't help feeling I'll get better utility with the power module and being better able to correlate device status with power response. That being said - I don't even know if it will work. I don't have a Zigbee ISY - but my question is about sending over WiFi from GEM using protocol 11 (labeled as 'Universal Device ISY Format' - attached) Question: Can ISY with the power module receive the data from the GEM over the IP network (NO Zigbee) via protocol 11 from GEM into the power module on ISY? I have a micro on/off setup and I cannot seem to get it to not latch. I set it in single momentary mode and it only beeps once when I push the set button. However when I touch the sense wire to the load line it toggles when I apply power. So on first time off second time... It should be on when connected to the load and off when disconnected. HI, Is it possible to swap the on/off state of an input? I have a magnetic door contact connected to an input and when the door is closed it shows as on. I want it to be the reverse of this, or at least the insteon commands it sends to be the opposite. I am looking at it in the Smartenit utility and my device and I don't see an way to accomplish this. I have a morninglinc and lock for quite a while on our guest house door which is barely used. I have now installed two more locksets within the house today. I wanted to achieve a few things and need help knowing how to program this 1.) Scenario one involves a lock at the door coming in from the garage. -I want to create a program using integer variables to click the light switch in the garage 4 times for unlock and 5 times for lock. This is a very basic question - I think I'm missing some very beginner-level concepts in my migration from an Insteon hub to Isy. This is my scenario: I have a single OutletLinc Dimmer (2472D v.41) and an 8-scene mini-remote (2342-222 v.37). Everything links to Isy just fine and I can control the lamp from the Isy interface. I can also feedback in the Isy control panel when I press the buttons on the remote so communication is fine. But I can't figure out how to tell the buttons on the remote to do anything. I thought that maybe I would add all eight buttons to a scene with the OutletLinc and it would allow me to start assigning "actions" to the button presses…

I bought a Garage door kit a couple years ago and if I'm not mistaken, it's basically an IOLinc with the door sensor? I really never use it, I bought it but realized there's absolutely no time that I've ever needed garage door control from the ISY, like ever. Status is okay but I have cameras in there so I prefer that anyway. Other issue I have though is with the status being reversed. Somehow, despite my not having changed settings since August (when I changed a port number to resolve a conflict - the settings didn't change for a long time prior to that), my ISY-994i became unable to reach the Internet. That is, when I choose File -> Enable Internet Access [my system name] I get the Busy screen with progress bar for a second or so, and then a message "Failed Enabling Internet Access". I just purchased an ISY994i IR PRO to replace a Cortexa (and some HouseLinc) automation controller. So I'm new to ISY but not home automation. I have a new motion sensor that I bought and have linked it to the ISY, it's the only device linked. I factory reset the sensor prior to linking and it is working correctly reporting both motion, dawn/dusk and battery(off) to the ISY. The problem comes when I try to modify the option settings. I set the led flashing on the MS then click the options button and I get an error message "Request Failed". Once the Option screen is open I click the query button but get the same error message. I picked up an iolinc and an elk doorbell module and got it working with my doorbell just fine on the sense part (doorbell press -> insteon signal generated). I would like to be able to disable the chime yet know it's been pressed (scenario: I'm in the backyard while the kid is asleep yet I have a guest at the door - insteon could notify me and not ring the bell). I hooked up the leads going to the chime to the iolinc's relay however when I open the contacts of the iolinc relay the sensor doesn't get the doorbell press as the power is removed and the elk looks for a draw to "signal". Any ideas?

I am thinking about getting the Mobilinc app to control my ISY when away from home. I noticed that Universal Devices sells a module called Portal Integration - MobiLinc Connect which is described as: Remotely connect through MobiLinc portal. No port forwarding necessary. Note: Please upgrade to 3.1.16 or above before installing this module. Although the $1 cost is no big deal, I am not sure if I need this in order to incorporate mobilinc. Is it necessary? I have a boathouse at my vacation home, and in the winter I run bubblers to keep the water from freezing around the boathouse. This is necessary to avoid having the ice destroy the dock area. However because I am creating an open water situation, I am trying to take as many precautions as I can to make sure that people, out on the lake in the winter (snowmobiles), are aware that the open water is there. Aside from various signs physically out on the ice, I want the lights (with red bulbs) on the boathouse to blink from sunset to sunrise. I will be using a insteon switch non dimming with a insteon outlet. the switch will not be connected to the load. these LEDS are a strip that has a separate driver that will plug into the outlet. can I expect any problems Thanks Jeff

HI, I've discussed this with someone once. I want a dimmer wall switch 2487D to be set for 'Blink On Traffic'. The dimmer is located accorss the room from where I usually sit to watch TV. I had it set when I was using the Insteon Hub and it was the way I realized I had issues somewhere in the house. When it got set back to factory when I switch to the ISY and added it,there is no way to turn that setting on for this model switch. I was told just to set it on manually from the switch. I apparently had a power event during an absence and my 994 hasn't worked since. PLM seems ok, with a green LED, and ISY seems ok with power and Rx blue lights. Firmware is 4.2.30 (latest). The admin console shows my installed Insteon devices. I am unable to control or read the status of the devices. I cannot read status of PLM; get error message that says "cannot connect" in various forms. Tried to restore PLM; error message "failed reset PLM, -200000/-30" and "could not open config file, [/config/insteng.opt]". There is no programming showing in the admin console under "programs". I recently put in a Ecolink Z-Wave PIR Motion Detector (PIRZWAVE2-ECO) in my Z-wave network controlled by an ISY994i (Z-wave only version). I had no troubles connecting it and setting it up, but lately I have noticed that if I log into the ISY after it has done the "Factory Query Program" but before the Ecolink has checked in (or detected motion), I receive multiple warnings titled "Failed Communicating With" that say "Cannot Communicate With "Motion Sensor 1 (ZW010_1). Please check connections." These messages will continue until either the motion detector is triggered or it does it's own check in. I believe this is because the motion sensor does not stay active in…
