ISY-991 running version 3.3.4. I had to replace my garage door opener/sensor (2450) because it finally quit. Replaced it with a new one that I just got from Smarthome.com. I have it working to open/close the garage door but it will not update the status on the ISY. When the door is opened/closed the green LED changes as expected but the ISY does not update the status. This is a clean log for an OPEN/CLOSE event on the garage door: Anyone have any idea what I can do to resolve this? My previous iolinc updated its status correctly and it was an older version...

Hi everyone, I logged on to my admin console today after upgrading to 3.2.6., and can no longer program email alerts. In my Program section, if I select the Notify action, the only option for To is Migrated, and the only option for content is Default. Any idea what happened? OS X 10.8.2. Java is v7 update 10. I have two separate IO Lincs that have limit switches connected to Sensor inputs. If either of the limit switches are closed (on), the IO Linc sends a signal to the to the ISY which in turn sends a signal to one of the outputs on an EZIO2x4 and closes the contacts to start a fan. If both limit switches return to an open state (off), the ISY is programmed to open the contacts on the EZIO after a 3 minute delay. In other words, the fan runs for an additional 3 minutes after the limit switches are opened. The question I have, if either limit switch is re-closed within the 3 minute time delay, does the ISY still send a signal to the output on the EZIO to open its contac…

I have a 7 day programmable Venstar 1700 with an Insteon Thermostat Adapter (2441V) v.95, and an All-In-One Venstar 1 day programmable (2491T) with internal adapter v.95. Are these compatible with the new commands in the beta firmware of the ISY-99i/Pro? It doesn't appear to be working. (ISY firmware 3.3.5)

Good Afternoon folks! Ed here! I am currently puzzled right now, trying to program my Keypadlinc(s) to control another Keypadlincs Load (a Foyer Light). I created a scene (Front Foyer) I added the Load (Foyer Light) of the main keypadlinc as the Responder I then added another Keypadlinc button as a controller I have tried various toggle/non toggle, but I can't seem to get this to work. My garage door status light works correctly (On=Open) Pressing the Set button on 2450 sequentially open/closes door But the garage door sequentially open/closes with every press of the "On" button on ISY controller and the "Off" button on ISY controller does nothing, unlike what the instructions say: Sending On command: If garage door is Open, it remains Open If garage door is Closed, it should Open Sending Off command: If garage door is Closed, it remains Closed If garage door is Open, it should Close I'm using Momentary C, but it doesn't seem to react to Status condition.

Like a bed time button. Hit it twice fast so a fast off, I want to run a couple of scenes that turn off all the house lights. Wondering if I have the concept down here before I embark, or if there is a smart way to do it. since i cannot seem to have a scene be part of a scene I need two scenes: upstairs lights basement lights a program that looks for fast off on my kpl when it sees fast off it executes upstairs lights off it executes downstairs lights off Is that pretty much the gist of it?

I have multiple keypadlincs I have recently installed and have a couple questions regarding how I want them to talk/work. One thing I am worried about is someone accidentally pressing the button for the outdoor floods during the day. I understand I have to add a rule,but where do I add it? Would that be in Programs? Hi, looking for some help if you've ever experience this. Just got my ISY-994i, and trying to set it up. First time I connected this with the router and PLM, it said there is an issue communicating with the PLM and that I should restart the device. So, I unplugged everything, then plugged them back in. Here's where the issue come. When I plugged everything back in, the LAN LED at the back of the device didn't light up, my router didn't recognized that a LAN client was connected, and the ISY device only has the Power LED turned one. A friend picked up a ISY994i/IR PRO INSTEON Compatible Automation Controller with Dual-Band PLM and has tried auto discovery and manual device setup with no success. Manual setup times out after 7 seconds and auto discover doesn't see anything (holding set button and load flashes). PLM is plugged directly into the wall (no power strip). He's tried moving the ISY/PLM and gets the same results. It sounds PLM related but what else can he try?

So I recently wired all my external doors to my 2x4 I/O and have my ISY sending my email notification when I "ARM" this scene. What I would like to do now is have a small tone go off when ANY of these doors are opened. Has anyone used the relay out on the EZIO2X4 to trigger a Peizo of some sort for this type of annunciation? If so, how do you like it? I eventually want to install a Elk M1 when I get the funding:-) Thanks for your input! Ed

Hello, The Main button on my new KPL8 controls a wall outlet - the original load - and I also added via a scene - a 2457D2 to control another lamp in the room. Then I added a program to my H button that dims these same lamps to 35% and some other fixtures in the house. The program turns on a scene to accomplish this. The problem is that after using the H button, my Main button will only turn on the wall outlet (the actual load) to 35%. The "scened" Lamplinc turns on to 100%. Also I can double-push the main button and get the main to 100%. After it gets to 100% that way the main button will now function properly. I'm confused. Any input appreciated. Tha…

So this is a very simple task....or so I thought. I basically just want the d button on a KPL to show me the current status of my garage door. I do not want to control the door with the KPL to avoid accidental opening. I have read many Garage door status related threads but can not get this to work reliably. I would be very grateful for help with my specific to my situation. Basically if the door is open then the KPL.D should be lit, if its closed it should be off. Hello, I have several automatic animal feeders around my little farm which are controlled by my isy99 & a mix of Outletlincs & Appliancelincs. I created simple programs to feed my animals on a schedule however I need to take things a little further and need help. When I turn on my ISY-99i/IR Pro, I see the following sequence of lights on the ISY status panel: For 30 seconds or so, TX, RX, and MEM are on almost continuously. I assume that this is while the ISY is querying the status of all of the Insteon devices. After that, MEM and ERROR flash slowly (about every 2 seconds), along with slight flickering of TX and RX. This repeats maybe 20 times. This is not a regular blinking; it is irregular, as if it is accompanying some communication activity. After this, the light show ceases. Hi all Though I would throw this question out here. I have been trying to find out if the ISY or any PC running Weather Bug can access a home weather station that supports Weather Bug. For example I found the Honeywell TE923W-IP weather station that is a server on Ethernet. It says it supports Weather Bug but I haven't been able to find out any detailed information on how it functions as a server. Does it need to communicate with the Weather Bug site or not to allow Weather Bug access? Just wondering if anyone has done this or that it is just not possible. I have a brand new 2441th with a sticker on it that says v1.3 on it, and I can't get it to link with the isy. I can get it to link with any other device I have. I even have a spare keypad that I have in a j-box with a plug so I can move it around the house. It can link with the thermostat, both as a controller and a responder, from anywhere in the house. I just can't get the isy99pro to link to it. When ever I try, I get an error dialog which says 'Cannot determine Insteon Engine.

I recently read a post where veteran forum contributors LeeG and Xanthros indicated they had less than 100 programs. I'm pushing 500 and finding the time it takes to load them into the GUI and back them up, along with the time it takes ISY to update HomeSeer every time I save changes, to be getting quite long. No one else, however, seems to be complaining about this. I guess I'm wondering if 500+ programs makes me a bit of an oddity or outlier. I do have plans to add more programs as I continue to chip away at moving off HomeSeer after 12 years of using it. I have a motion sensor which I set as a controller to a bedroom light scene so when you walk in the room and it's dark, the light turns on. This works great except that I don't want the motion sensor to work after I go to bed (say, if someone gets up to go to the bathroom). I wrote a program that says if between sunset and 10:30 pm and control motion sensor is on then turn on the light, but this doesn't work b/c the sensor is set as controller to the scene. If I remove it from the scene, the program works except for a much bigger delay between sensing and switching the light on. I have the ELK M1, ISY994i and the Elk Module, and here's what I'm trying to do: I need one more exterior door sensor, and it must be wireless due to location. Turns out I have an extra Insteon TriggerLinc so I figured I'd try to get that to act as a zone on my Elk using the ISY. Right there, I'm not even sure if this is possible and/or a good idea. So "nope, don't do it" would be a sad but understandable response. My attempt at this was to set a free zone in the M1 to be EOL and name is "Garage", obviously it starts out in a violated state as nothing is attached to it. Hello, I just purchase two RemoteLinc-2 devices, charged them up and tried to link then to my ISY994i, but I never get any response. I have the devices on the desk beside me, alongside two RemoteLinc devices, and a dual-band light module plugged in 6ft away. Since I can never connect to either device, could this be an issue with the v3.3.3 firmware? I tried manually linking them to an appliance module (I understand that linking should always be through an ISY scene) just to test the wireless connection. Both devices seem to work. -PeterM

Hey guys I've searched all over for the v3 program and can't find it. I've downloaded the v2 program from the wiki page, but there is nothing on the V3 page. Am I missing something here? I have the climate module and use weatherbug for my info and would love to use the irrigation with the new evapotranspiration program. Please help and sorry if this is an obvious find. Thanks pete
