  1. Your pictures are really small and low res. Maybe think about updating them?
  2. JayC - You might want to check out my thread below. I talk about what my needs were, PC specs and details more. http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/21113-backup-isp-via-cellular/?hl=%2Bbackup+%2Bcellular TIL = VM works perfect for me and saves me energy. I am VERY happy with pfsense router using Intel Quad Network card. No complaints. If you have more specific questions feel free to either PM me or post on the other thread. Hope this helps!
  3. Welcome Mark. First step, walk away from the computer, think about if you really will use it and if the family will. Then proceed on... [emoji23][emoji13][emoji12] Actually step one is realizing you have a problem! Hahahah
  4. Might want to keep that MOCA for ethernet over coax so you don't have to run more lines if you need internet somewhere. I guess you could use powerline and wifi.
  5. Generac 20kwh Guardian with auto transfer switch, zero issues.
  6. Larry is correct. Also there are strips on ebay that are waterproof as well. Silicone the connections and/or use that funky waterproof grease. The controller is the most important. Then just run wire from it to the strip. Maybe swap the outlet out to a GFCI it will plug into to be on the safe side if its not already. Could also use a heat shrink tube to keep the water from the led end where the wire goes into or some tape.
  7. Yes RGBW strips are cool to have. I use them in a few spots. Under/Upper Kitchen cabinet lighting, in my attic, around my server racks for a "cool effect", I have some in my theater room behind my noise baffles and even may add them under the lip of my counter tops. I wasn't bashing them or the use just the point hacking of the FW. If you look at my other thread I have details of things I found in this area since there wasn't much info last year.
  8. Right, I know. I guess I wasn't clear. What I should have said is "whats the benefits in hacking the controller for direct control via webpage?" seems unnecessary since we have NR.
  9. So at the end of the day "whats the point"? I mean if we have the NR module I am not sure theres really any advantage to HTTP. Am I missing something? Still dim/bright/ramp is missing.
  10. This is similar to the one I posted recently in my Magic UFO thread. Ill check out the github and see how it goes and report back. Edit: I dont see any talk about the "white" channel. "They" don't call me "Mr. Cool White" for nothin! [emoji13]
  11. Thats because mode, speed and fade/dim don't exist. Read my other threads about the MUFO.
  12. Yeah I need RGBW too. As MWareman asked please post a link to the firmware for HTTP and if you know if they have a "RGBW" version.
  13. Nope just preoccupied by all things Aston Martin ATM. HAHAH, Yes your system was shipped today and on its way. See what I did there? Today, way, I should have been a rapper. lol ok maybe not. Check out my link here about the Magic UFO http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/19913-magic-ufo-controller-for-rgbw/?hl=%2Bmagic+%2Bufo Towards the bottom I added a new "mini wifi rgbw controller" Also look at this thread towards the end there are Network Resources, post 101 talks about ones we found. On: 113;35;15;163;129;138;139;150 Off: 113;36;15;164;129;138;139;150 http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/15428-rgbw-led-strip-light-control/page-6?hl=%20magic%20%20ufo Hope this helps. Now off to more fun stuff!
  14. Check out my links - the minis are on ebay now. You can use any kpl or button and just send a NR to turn them on/off - dimming up/down is not an option but pre-dim levels can be.
  15. Today I woke up at 6:30am to go to Exotics at Redmond Town Center. It was opening day and was the biggest they ever had. Over 500 cars and at least a couple thousand people. You can find more info here, https://exoticsat.com/ But lets go back to last night when I got the call my car was ready. So of course I went and got it! Looks absolutely stunning under the showroom lights and detailed. The best looking Aston there but I am biased! Hahah Brought it home...woke up this morning. Drove down and was privileged to get center court spot. I have only the fourth DB11 in the WA state area. One has flown down to Beverly Hills, the local dealership has a demo, so that leaves me and Matt (who is the AMOC Director for the NW) with our two! Heres Matt in his silver DB11. Silver looks good but I think mine looks better!? Lol [emoji13] Heres a few pix from the event. I have tons but if you want to see more of the "other" cars there today just go look at their website.
  16. Got a chance to go look at it today. Hopefully I will be able to pick it up soon. Still needs to have the service technician go through it, do a full detail, put on the window tint and 3M Venture Shield.
  17. It arrived.
  18. Just sharing. Ecobee thermostat with Amazon Alexa integration http://www.digitaltrends.com/home/ecobee4-rumors-alexa-integrated/
  19. The IOTA DOT aka IOTA Connect now, will soon be shipping to all Kickstarter backers and you can buy them now. https://dot-by-iota-labs.myshopify.com I can say with confidence these little guys are great! The best part is IFTTT and Maker are baked in. I have had all of my commands work with 100% accuracy. I know IFTTT gets a bad rap sometime because of delays but I can say there were none for me. Of course that being said it is a cloud service so there's going to be a bit of a delay when you enter a room and want lights turned on. This is not because of the hardware, it just is what it is to get the command out and back. Right now with my test DOT I have it in my Home Theater Room. When I walk in after a specific amount of time if I am still in range all my devices turn on and ready to watch a movie, then the opposite happens when I leave. The app is now live on the Apple Store here: Iota Connect by Iota Labs, Inc https://appsto.re/us/2Km0gb.i Check it out. Grab one, they are only $20! Let me know if you have questions and I will try and answer any. To be clear I backed the Kickstarter project for one DOT and in no way affiliated with this company. I am just sharing my thoughts. These could be a great hit for those looking for reliable geofence.
  20. Does that system have a stat or allow third part ones? I have a Daikin and found my stat was compatible with Ecobee. I know my system has a pin out on the head unit. Maybe its possible you have one too and can plug into that and add a third party stat that you might be able to control.
  21. Thanks for the info! Will do. I am on the DJI Youtube channel watching the steps/videos. This isn't the same as the drone toys I had in the past, so taking a lot more care. Glad to hear you like yours. I figured I may actually use it when traveling so thats why I bought the Mavic.
  22. Got my DJI Mavic drone today. Now time to learn how to fly it.
  23. This post talks about changing the DHCP lease time. I maybe close [emoji12] https://forum.mikrotik.com/viewtopic.php?t=116151
  24. Are you using a VPN client on the Tik? If so you have to route the DOTS outside it. I have to for mine. The DOTS would work fine for a while then drop off. Also the Tik could be dumping the device states after a certain time frame or last used? Last I would check the Tik forums and make sure this is not a NAT or Masq issue. Wouldnt think it was since rebooting the DOTS then work again but stranger things have happened.
