  1. Hello everyone, As I mentioned in another post, this forum is about sharing ideas and providing solutions. Ad hominem and insults are not going to be tolerated. If we have reached an impasse, I would very much prefer closing this topic as it's become abundantly clear that the purpose is not to provide solutions. Thank you for your consideration. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi ryanmead83, This is on a 5.0.x release, correct? With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi jmac, Is the problem repeated during those times? If so, you might want to use the Event Viewer, change the level to 3, at/around the same time and see the traffic. As far as X10 messages that are sent: are they sent from ISY or are they received from ISY. Again, Event Viewer would be much more helpful than just looking at the logs. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hello everyone, As much as I enjoy discussions about specifications, I am afraid this thread is becoming more than just a civil discussion and quickly becoming a tool for ad-hominem. For the sake of professionalism and integrity of this forum, I have not choice but to ask everyone to conclude this thread. Thanks in advance. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi iiiman, You are correct on all your assumptions. 4.3.18 suppresses some of these issues but it's best to change the Query Program and not include your Z-Wave battery operated devices. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi Jgdavis14, Yes but it has low priority. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi Rob, Either one will work. The only difference is that the second one will NOT go to Safe Mode if the PLM is not installed. The first one goes to Safe Mode (nothing will work) if the PLM is not installed or working. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi Simon, Thanks so very much for the update. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi Rob, Versions are numbered in an increasing order. So, 4.3.18 is higher than 4.2.30. Again, 4.2.30 is our OFFICIAL BUILD. If you don't mind beta (we usually have 6 or 7 of those per year), then you might want to upgrade to 4.3.18: http://forum.universal-devices.com/topic/16772-release-4318-rc6-is-now-avaialble/ With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi Rob, Links are created: 2 for each button (so if 10 of your devices are 8 button KPLS, right off the bat you will get 160 links) 1 for each node in each scene With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi Rob, Correct. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi blueman2, I do agree but I prefer waiting for our solution to come out first so as to not confuse the official solution (cloud based). With kind regards, Michel
  13. Rob, You won't get that unless we have an official release. Currently, the last official release is 4.2.30. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi Rob, The reason is that for every device (button), there should be a link in the PLM otherwise: 1. ISY cannot send commands to your devices 2. You won't get status feedback from devices With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi Paul, The portal is basically a proxy to your ISY. So, whatever your ISY APIs are available locally they are also available through the portal. So, 5.0 features should be available (using the Admin Console through the portal). With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hi Xathros, Yes, of course. Please go to the portal and in the drop down next to ISY choose ISY Information. You will see Admin Console URL listed there. Just copy/paste that into ISY Finder. The only difference is that you need to use your Portal's credentials to log into your ISY. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi ryanmead83, Only if you do a lot of scenes and if and only if you some of those devices in the scenes do not respond. Otherwise, no, you don't need to. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi ryanmead83, There's a much simpler solution. Create a program for each important device and use "is not Responding". So, if ISY fails communicating with a device, the associated program for that device will automatically run. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi Simon, EZIOCOMM is not officially supported but I do not think the issue is related to the PLM (unless it lost power). You are welcome to send your Tools | Error Log and we'll take a look. Hi Brian, What's your ISY's firmware version and model number? You are welcome to send your Tools | Error Log and we'll take a look. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hello bktong, It's usually related to signal path from the PLM to those devices in the scene. In some cases, the PLM is plugged into an outlet which is not on the same circuit as the switches. In extreme cases, the PLM is on a different phase. So, I would start with Right Mouse Click | Diagnostics | Scene Test first to see whether or not there are any issues with communications between the PLM and devices. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hello everyone, I appreciate the levity! This said, I do very much hope we can keep politics away from our forum as I am certain soon it will spiral out of hand as with anything else related to politics. Thanks so very much for your consideration. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi Red Baron, Unfortunately yes. You do need a new PLM and once you get the unit, please follow the instructions in the link below STEP BY STEP: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:File_Menu#Replace_Modem_.28PLM.29 With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi Red Baron, The LED is pretty much meaningless. What you need to do is to reboot ISY, log back into the Admin Console and make sure you do NOT get a Safe Mode warning dialog OR that Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Info/Status shows "Connected/xx.yy.zz" where xx.yy.zz is the PLM address. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi Red Baron, Please do NOT do Restore Modem or Delete Modem. If you go to Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Info/Status and it shows disconnected, then I suspect your PLM is dead. You might want to plug it into another outlet, reboot ISY, and retry the same menu and make sure you get "Connected". With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi MustangChris04, No plans since those messages take resources and we believe they are only good for live debugging. Error log should be used for anything else. With kind regards, Michel
