  1. Hi leith, Zip file is NOT empty. If you are using Windows' decompression utility, it will have a hard time opening the file. If you really need to see what's in there, try another zip utility such as AllZip. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi mlennox, The first thing I recommend is to reboot your router! Next: 1. If you have configured your ISY with a static IP address, please try 8.8.4.4 for DNS 2. If that does not work, please revert to DHCP With kind regards, Michel
  3. jfberg, Just wanted to thank you for sharing this. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi Jim, That's quite odd. SSL is an obsolete standard and superseded by TLS and that's what is being used by ISY. I do not think the link talks about external SMTP services (such as gmail) but AT&T's smtp service. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi iglon, Can you please use Event Viewer on Level 3, and then retry. Once done, please post the contents of the Event Viewer here. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Jay, Please do NOT start from scratch. The first question is whether or not you get status feedback for any of your devices on the admin console. Say, you turn on/off a device, does the admin console reflect the status? If not, then we will have to worry about the PLM having lost its links. Again, we'd be delighted to help through our tech support line (links below). With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi Jay, Just wanted to let you know we'd be delighted to help you through our tech support (links below) especially if we can schedule a time. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi smokegrub, You can install a self signed certificate (on 994) ... please see here on page 9: http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/I ... 0Guide.pdf With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi xamarin, I do not think anyone here would be able to help you with your project. I am sorry. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi Mike, I totally agree. As far as sensors, with the inclusion of Z-Wave, there are many more options available for sensors. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi KHouse, I must echo Xathro's recommendations. I did run a huge stress test on my setup in the lab whereby a network resource would call www.google.com every 2 seconds. Everything worked properly for 2 days and then DNS resolution became completely random. Upon further checking and wasting a day on ISY DHCP and DNS code, I decided to simply reboot the router and, voila, everything started working again. It's been running non-stop for the past 4 days without a miss. So, in some cases, the router might also be the culprit. As such, I also suggest rebooting the router again and see if things get better for a few days. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Michel Kohanim replied to sfhutchi's topic in ISY994
Hi sfhutchi, I would not touch the number of retries if I were you. It might add to network congestion, traffic, and many other unexplained behavior. If you so choose to do so, please try on a couple first, do NOT do any other configuration changes, observe for a few days and then decide whether or not you want to keep those settings. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi andrewm, If ISY's power supply is not on UPS, then you could have a program that runs at startup and sends you a notification. Other than that, it would be very difficult for ISY to sense power loss during the loss. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hello KHouse. Those errors are DNS errors. All of this points to some networking issues. Do you have DirecTV or Verizon/AT&T FIOS? If so, what's your ISY's firmware version? With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi Mike, Yes, another user in California had the same issue. I didn't (I am in California as well). With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello everyone, Unfortunately ISY does not have the capability of sending text to any ELK port except for the display. The reason is that for display, the behavior is pretty well defined. For the other port, it would be a support nightmare trying to figure out why an attached device does not work based on the given text. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hello rniles, oberkc is 100% correct in all aspects. As far as Zigbee PRO vs. SEP, the main question is: what are your intentions? If your utility has installed a Smart Meter for you and if they allow you to connect a HAN device to it, AND if you would like to get whole-house energy information out of your meter, then SEP is the path to go. If you want more granular energy monitoring (i.e. per circuit), then PRO is the way to go. If Z-Wave door locks and support for more home automation devices is more important for you, then you should go with Z-Wave. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Michel Kohanim replied to drw's topic in ISY994
Hello drw, I am so very sorry to hear. Please do not put your ISY on a timer because, then, we will never ever be able to figure out what's causing the issue. At the moment, I do believe the problem is related to UPnP bombardment by media servers. Please do stay on 4.1.0 or even 4.1.2 and disable the timer so that we can address the root cause. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi EricK, Unfortunately not. We are very deep into routing and healing Z-Wave network after which we'll get back to 5.0 framework which would make it easier to integrate with other devices. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi fuentesa, Yes, but you need an SD Card reader on your computer. If you do have one, please send an email to support@universal-devices.com with a link to this post and we'll help you. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi Sorka, Yes, center positive, 5-30volts. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi guedesluz, First, please ensure you are using https and NOT http. Other than that, I must echo Balok's statements. If you can get it enabled in the Admin Console and if you have the remote URL for your ISY displayed in Help | About, then it must be that your ISP is not allowing you to host a webserver on 443. With kind regards, Michel
  23. mfranzel, Unfortunately you can't. The only way you can control it is by putting it in a scene with another controller. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi mdcastle, Anyone who has a 26 or 99 is eligible. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi KHouse, Which one do you have the most? -11 means that your ISP's SMTP server didn't like the To (i.e. whomever you were sending the email to). Perhaps address issues or blocked. -5, -6 are definitely connection related. You may want to increase the timeout but it would fix the problem. If you have one or two, then it's probably network error. With kind regards, Michel
