  1. Hi Frank, To be honest, we are contemplating on moving to a new hosting service due to all the downtime and performance issues that our customers have been experiencing. Till we resolve all those issues, we cannot change anything in our environment. This said, however, we are very interested in a better forum platform. Do you know if vBulletin allows migration from PHPBB? I do not want us to get to a situation where we have two disjoint forums. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Frank, This has been on our list for a while and we just haven't had time to get around to it. We are basically looking for a software or service that converts WiKi to PDF. Does anyone know of such product (hopefully free)? With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Frank, There are absolutely no differences whatsoever except the firmware and, on the most recent units, the enclosure has been changed to allow easier access to the SD Card. So, please do not waste your money! With kind regards, Michel

    EZX10RF

Hi Joe, Do the status of EZX10 buttons change (not within the scene)? Have you used Event Viewer to check what events are being sent. I do not think 2.7.5 will help you since what you are describing is precisely the same issues as all other EZxxx devices for which we have not been able to find a solution yet. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi Ken, In all likelihood, you have a defective PLM. To test, please choose any one of your INSTEON devices, Right mouse click and then choose Restore Device. When done, please go to Tools | Diagnostics | Show PLM Links Table and see if you have any links in your PLM. If you don't, then you have a defective PLM. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi KenUD, The first thing I would suggest is to: 1. Open Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer 2. Change the level to 3 3. Click on any of the buttons on your RL and see if there is any traffic in the Event Viewer If you do see traffic on the Event Viewer, then please copy/paste your program here so that we can check it for problems. If you do not see any traffic in the Event Viewer, it means that ISY is not hearing the signals from your RL the causes of which may include: 1. There's no Access Point that bridges the RL to the PLM (if your RL is too far from your PLM, then you would need two access points) 2. Noise on the line 3. The PLM does not have the slave links for the RL. For this, you can go to Tools | Diagnostics | Show Device Links Table and choose your RL. After you are done, click on the Compare button. If you have any mismatches, then please restore your RL Please do keep us posted. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi Illusion, The password cannot be longer than 10 characters. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi osullys, Unfortunately we do not use device comm. errors as conditions in programs yet but this is something that we have on our list to implement. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hello jamesx0, It's correct if you used Or as the conjunctive operator. If you used And, it does depend on which condition is first. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi Richard, I suspect that your LL is gone bad. Have you had a power outage/surge? Can you access/control other devices? With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hello Kelly, The only reasons are the support for different modules in ISY-99i: 1. Weatherbug module allows you to use your local weather information in your programs ($49.00) 2. Networking module allows you to ($49.00): a. Use ISY as a web server ... i.e. for use with iPhone web apps b. You can call any network resource (TCP/UDP/HTTP/HTTPS) from your programs Above and beyond the modules, there are no other differences. Warranty is 1 year parts and labor. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hello fraziel, What firmware version is running on your ISY? Please clear your Java cache: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... Java_Cache If this does not help, then please reboot your ISY. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Richard, It could the be the device or it could be communications. Would you be kind enough to move your device closer to the PLM (or even right on top of it) and retry? With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hello all, We are working with our hosting company to figure out what's causing these issues. Apologies for the inconvenience and thanks for your patience. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi AnthemAVM, Please create two programs: one for the morning and one for night. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello frustratednon-geek, I think everyone would feel the same as you do when having to work on something so simple for 12 hours. From what I gather, you have recently moved your PLM. The location of PLM, in relationship with your other devices, is very important. Also, if your PLM is plugged into the same outlet as a router, a computer monitor, your home entertainment system, phone battery charger, etc. you will experience communications errors to no end. Please note that when confronted with communications errors, Restoring Devices or PLM - in all likelihood - will make the problems worse: ISY won't be able to program the devices correctly and thus you will have other unexplained behavior. So, please do be kind enough to go back to the original location and then we can find what's causing the other problems. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Gentstr, Unfortunately we do not have any plans whatsoever in supporting EZUIRT. We shall support IRLinc Transmitter though in our release 3.0. With kind regards, Michel

    EZX10RF

Hi Joe, The answer is still "unofficial"! Unofficial means that you can try Link Management | Add X10 Device to EZX10RF menu item. Whether or not it works is purely dependent on the firmware you have on your EZX10RF. In short, we cannot guarantee that it would work. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi Frank, Welcome back and I am very happy to see you here again! Instead of answering your questions - and with your permission - I would like to instead posit the order in which you should tackle the migration: 1. Back up your ISY-26 2. Connect your PLM to your ISY-99i 3. Install the latest firmware (I recommend 2.7.5 to be out over the weekend) on your ISY-99i 4. Restore your backup (from step 1) unto your ISY-99i (File -> Restore ISY) 5. Since the restoration does not restore IP settings, you might want to redo your IP/port forwarding setup if any Now, to your INSTEON questions: 1. Yes, ISY can now sort the order in which buttons should be added 2. I am still running 58 and, in comparison with other versions, I find it quite stable. If you do not have any comm/status issues, I do not recommend changing your PLM. This said, however, if you are planning to add more devices and your link count is greater than 417 (you can count using Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Status / Info), then I do recommend getting a new PLM. Again: welcome back! With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hello mikewu99, In release 2.7.5 (to be out over this weekend hopefully) let's you control heat/cool setpoints separately and individually without having to change the mode. With kind regards, Michel Reliability. Using programs requires the thermostats, the KPL, the ISY, and the modem to all be functioning correctly to use the KPL to control the thermostats. Using scenes only the KPL and the thermostats need to be working. The other issue is convenience. If I understand the other thermostat threads correctly, if I want to change both the heat and cool setpoints in auto mode I would need to go to cool mode, set the cool setpoint, go to heat mode, set the heat setpoint, then go back to auto mode (or is that just for querying the setpoints?). If I use scenes I just activate the scene corresponding to the conditions I want to set. Anyway, if you count votes I add +2 for the improved thermostat support (since I now own two ISYs I get two votes )...
  21. Hi, As Mike suggested, we do have this feature on our list of todos and the only reason it has a low priority is that our new GUI should fix the issue (which has a medium priority). With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hello pdxcav, Apologies for the inconvenience. Two questions: 1. What firmware version is your ISY 2. Have you checked the on level for the load for that button? i.e. click on that button within the scene and then check the on level for the load to your right With kind regards, Michel
  23. Tim, I do also recommend getting a new station. Furthermore, just to be sure, check your logs for -1400x errors. If you have many of them, then it might be that ISY cannot get access to the Internet. With kind regards, Michel
  24. deeepdish, Long time no see! I am going to leave the philosophical discussion to Chris. For your specific program you can solve it by adding an Off in the Else path. Perhaps () for atomic operations would be a good compromise but, like Chris, I believe the way this is handled right now is the correct way. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello pacificsloop, My pleasure and apologies for a tardy reply. 1) We do have this a requirement to support EZRain timers; the priority is low 2) Yes, ISY can turn on/off each zone 3) You can only use ISY to link zones to other ISNTEON devices (not programs and inhibit functions) 4) Yes, you can link IR link groups to INSTEON devices including KPL buttons With kind regards, Michel
