Hi Rich, We do have a full 30 day money back guarantee with no questions asked. So, you could try it for a few days and if you don't find it meeting your requirements, you can simply forward your receipt to sales@universal-devices.com and request for a full refund. With kind regards, Michel

Triggerlinc script? TL open = light on, email notifications
Hi Rich, Status changes with any changes to the state of a device. So, when you turn on a device, the status changes to on, when you turn off a device, the status changes to off. Now, when you turn on a device which is ALREADY on, then the status does NOT change. Control is any physical activity on the device itself. So, when you double press a device, regardless of the status of the device, ISY consider this an event. Yes, you should use Repeat (every 5 minutes) ... the program stops when the condition is false so you do not have to worry about stopping it. With kind regards, Michel

Sending a WOL (wake on lan) ping from the ISY as program?
Hi Rich, I truly apologize for not being more clear mostly because I had assumed that you already have the Network Module. Adding Network Module to your ISY lets you do WOL as well as calling other networked devices (such as Tivo, Russound, Global Caché, etc.). With kind regards, Michel

Sending a WOL (wake on lan) ping from the ISY as program?
Hi Rich, Two conditions have to be met before you can do this: 1. The server has to be in sleep mode (not shut off mode) 2. You have to have a WOL rule for your server And, yes, you can wake up your server from the Program interface as long as you have a program that calls the WOL rule. With kind regards, Michel

Triggerlinc script? TL open = light on, email notifications
Hi Rich, May I humbly suggest using Control instead of Status. Also, I strongly recommend using your own SMTP settings since the default has a maximum number per month and that could be one of the issues. With kind regards, Michel

Error - Failed writing highwater mark
Hi someguy, Do you have any HomePlug devices (bridge to Ethernet)? Jim's issue was related to HomePlug bridge devices. I really do not think the problem is the motion sensor. With kind regards, Michel

Best option for an Irrigation System?
Hi Allan, Thanks SO very much. This is great and surely something we would like to add to ISY as a feature: you shouldn't have to do these calculations outside ISY. What would help is if you already have the Penman-Monteith equation implemented in any type of programming language which we can take and simply incorporate into ISY. If you do - and if you do not mind sharing it - please send it to support@universal-devices.com. I would sincerely appreciate it. With kind regards, Michel

Best option for an Irrigation System?
Allan, Very impressive. Thanks so very much for sharing it with us. Two questions: 1. Can we link to your blog from our Wiki? 2. We are very interested in incorporating ET calculations and water balance tables within ISY. Do we require any type of sensors for any of these calculations? With kind regards, Michel

Flex your Power
Hi Chuck, You can safely ignore System - Electricty Demand/Price Alert Maximum Electricty Alert They are used to notify the clients (iPhone, Nokia, Admin Console) of some drastic event ... Now, as far as conditions, Flex Your Power is a signal that is either active or not active. When active, it means that all CA utilities have decided that there's too much load on the grid and thus they need your help. All you have to do is to make a program that looks for the Active signal and then changes your thermostat setpoints, lights, pool pumps/etc. accordingly. All you are doing is helping reduce the likelihood of blackouts. With kind regards, Michel

Do refurbished devices have a warranty?
Hi, As a matter of fact, the refurbished units have much lower return rates simply because the customers contact us first and thus most of the time, we can figure out what's wrong immediately (usually PLM related). With kind regards, Michel

ISY supported alternatives to wireless W800/DS10A's?
Hi All, The solution would be network based and beyond that I cannot really say much since we are still designing it. And, yes, you can have multiple on the network. With kind regards, Michel

program events
Hi Bernhard, Thanks so very much. You see, the issue is that you have: If Program '*Z 1 Laundry Door' is True Or Program '*Z 15 Entry Downstairs' is True Or Program '*Z 17 Motion Downstairs' is True Or Program '*Z 18 Staircase Door' is True Which means that if any of these conditions are true, then the Then path is executed. Now, the main question is: are you certain that none of these conditions are true when you expect the Else path to run? I think the best way to test this is to use one condition at a time to isolate which one is actually true when it should NOT be. This way, you can work on the offending condition. With kind regards, Michel

Hi, Thanks so very much. But, I am very much interested in the program Staircase Door as well. Can you copy paste that as well? With kind regards, Michel

Hi jkraus, I am so very sorry for not mentioning it before. Yes, you do need to format your SD Card using FAT filesystem (not NTFS). I do apologize for the omission. With kind regards, Michel

ISY wont reset
Hi Joe, yes, seating could surely have the same exact symptoms as you were experiencing. I wonder why the 1G didn't work. With 2.7.6, you should be able to use anything up to 8GB. With kind regards, Michel

device current monitor?
Hi Jon_W, I think SH is coming up with these devices. But, till then, you could use our Energy Monitoring module using a Brultech meter. In our next release, we'll also be supporting ECM1240 which allows you to monitor 6 channels. But, unfortunately, Modules are only available on 99 Series. With kind regards, Michel
