  1. Hi Tim, First of all, I do not think you would want to check Catchup Schedules at Restart. This was put in there only for backward compatibility with older installation. What this does is that it runs all the schedules for that day. So, your 3:00 AM coffee pot program will run at start up. Secondly, using an exact time for sensitive programs is not advised. It's always best to use a duration even if only for a minute. All and all, I think if you uncheck the catchup schedules at restart, you will be OK. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi pacificsloop, Thanks so very much for your interest. IRLinc - yes IRLinc Transmitter - no EZRain - depends on your EZRain's firmware. The latest usually works. Please note that ISY cannot program EZRain timers nor can it call them. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Chris, I think the delay is the best way. Unfortunately ISY cannot maintain the state of programs upon reboot and there's always the possibility of losing the state if there's a power outage. But, for now, the delay is the best way. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi Tim, We have started a root cause analysis on this issue. It would be great if you could enable internet access on your unit and send the following to support@universal-devices.com 1. Your URL 2. Your credentials (reset to admin/admin) 3. The address of the device with missing buttons I do apologize for the inconvenience and I do very much appreciate your help in finding the root cause. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi craigf, The one thing that sticks out immediately is that your timer program without any conditions will always evaluate to TRUE. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi Chris, This is actually a requested feature which we have on our requirements list with a low priority. Personally, I think this is a very good feature. Let me see if we can bump up the priority. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello Greg, Excellent question. As you may know, Zigbee comes in many different profiles one of which is Home Automation. Unfortunately, though, there are NOT any home automation enabled Zigbee products that are interoperable (unlike ZWave). As such, our Zigbee integration right now revolves around SEP and not Home Automation. We will have units that support both INSTEON and Zigbee SEP at the same time. When more Zigbee HA devices are available, then we shall surely support it. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hello Tim, Apologies ... can you count the number of the same KPL buttons in the table? And, if so, do they match the number of buttons on your device (6 button KPL = 5 nodes; 8 button KPL = 8 nodes)? With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi Tim, Apologies for not being clearer. Basically, what we want to do is to make sure they are actually still registered in ISY. The best way to do this is to click on the Network Node (to your left). When done, you will see a table with a list of devices. If you have 2.7.3 and above, all your buttons will be listed in that table. To make sure you still have those buttons, click on the Address column so that you can sort them. Once sorted, you can count how many have the same address with each one having a different suffix corresponding to the button number. With kind regards, Michel Sorry, I have not been able to figure out what you are asking me to do. Can you give me a little detail? Also, for what it is worth, I noticed that one of the KPL Buttons which is missing is still listed in a scene. Thanks, Tim
  10. Hi Eug, Yes, that's clear: controlling devices and adding to ISY does NOT require links in the PLM since they are all direct commands. Getting statuses from devices OR controlling scenes requires links in the PLM. If the PLM has no links regardless of what you do, then there's an issue with the PLM. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi Eug, Then I would suspect you have a defective PLM. To make sure this is the case, please try adding a device to your ISY and retry. If you still get no records, then it's the PLM. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi Eug, Ok. Yes, you can check the PLM link tables by going to Tools | Diagnostics | Show PLM Links Table. You should have 6 to 8 entries for your KPL depending on the number of buttons you have. If your setup is not that current, then may I humbly suggest resetting your PLM and starting over with your most recent KPL. This way we can definitively decide where the problem is coming problem. My suspicions are: 1. PLM itself 70% 2. Noise related issues 30% With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hello TJF1960, I do apologize for the inconvenience. The odd part is that the topology is generated from the same exact object as the Admin Console. So, if they are not missing in the topology but missing in the Admin Console then I suspect we have a bug in the Admin Console. If possible, would you be kind enough to click on the Network node and then sort the table on Address? It's possible that the nodes were renamed to something else ... With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hello Eug, The only reason ISY would not get statuses back from your KPLs is that there are no slave links in the PLM for that device. Since your PLM version seems OK, then would you be kind enough to do the following: 1. Remove your KPL from ISY (one that's not that important in your setup) 2. Do a factory reset on it 3. Add it back to ISY 4. Let me know if you get status feedback If you do not, then I would suspect the PLM. If you do, then I suspect that originally the system was crawled and that's why the links were missing. With kind regards, Michel 1: PLM version is v72. 2: 30 devices at the moment.
  15. Hi skunkiechris, yes, I believe that's going to be a good solution. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hi Jacques, The best would be basic port forwarding on your HTTPS port. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi Jacques, Thanks for the update. I think the problem is either network related or it's ISY itself. To isolate, it would be great if we could log in to your ISY remotely. If you have internet access enabled, please send the URL + your credentials (hopefully admin/admin) to support@universal-devices.com ... we'll try to login remotely and if it works here then at least we have eliminated ISY as the culprit. For your information, we have had major issues with Kaspersky before. You might want to check out the following link wherein you'll find some remedies thereto: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewforum.php?f=3 With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi Jacques, Yes, you are correct: if this happens EVERY time you open the applet, then the problem is network related (subscription of the applet to ISY). Would you be kind enough to clear your Java cache and retry? Please ensure all your browser windows are closed before clearing the cache. Also, you might want to try http://www.universal-devices.com/99i in case you are using ISY's direct URL OR the reverse. And, finally, if all fails, please let me know your current firmware version and the firewall software you are using. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi skunkiechris, It all depends on what you are trying to accomplish. If your goals is to limit the evaluation to that interval only, then yes. If not, please let me know what it is you are trying to accomplish and we'll figure out the best way to handle it. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Aaron, Thanks so very much for the update and I am so very glad that everything is working again. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hello Jacques, Welcome to the forum! I think the problem is that at 3:00 AM, for some reason, your PLM cannot communicate with your INSTEON devices. I am making this conclusion because you mentioned that you can query all your devices fine when you open the console. So, it has to be time related. So, the first thing I'd suggest is looking at your logs (Tools | Logs). Please look for (or filter on the last column) for -2. Check the time for these -2s ... if most of them are happening on or around 3:00 AM, then the problem HAS to be either the PLM or something that stops the PLM from communicating with your devices. The second thing I'd suggest is moving your PLM away from any source of noise (computers, monitors, phone chargers, etc.). With kind regards, Michel
  22. sknunkiechris, Hello. I've been watching this thread and I hope I can clarify a few things: 1. When it's 11:59:00 and for the next 3 minutes, the programs in the folder "are allowed" to be re-evaluated. This does NOT mean that as soon as it's 11:59, they are automatically re-evaluated 2. If in those 3 minutes none of the weather variables change and specifically the one you are looking for, then nothing will happen since nothing has changed I think what you may want to do is to force re-evaluation (using Run-If) during those 3 minutes. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hello Eug, Two questions: 1. Please go to Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Status/Info and let me know the version number 2. How many INSTEON devices do you have registered in ISY in total? If all else fails, may I humbly suggest giving our support team a call on the weekdays so that we can login remotely and figure out what's causing all these problems? With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hello Aaron, Apologies for a tardy reply. If the problem is intermittent, then it could be either the PLM or ISY itself. Would it be possible for you to call us when it stops working? This way we can log in to your system and diagnose the issue. (http://www.universal-devices.com/contact.htm) With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi bjackson, Apologies for a tardy reply. Good question: we did not implement this feature into ISY since, historically, we have had major issues with UPnP routers (i.e. you are one of the lucky ones whose router is supported). As such, we are not aware of IP address changes. With kind regards, Michel
