  1. @Jimbo.Automates I just disconnected my USB PLM, then then plugged it back in and had no problem with the EISY communicating with the PLM. If you're using a serial PLM it's possible that the serial to USB converter lost power. My EISY is also on a UPS
  2. Are you using a serial or a USB PLM?
  3. The data for the Zwave, Zmatter, and Zigbee devices is stored on the Zmatter dongle. The question is if your remove the dongle how will the device tree respond to those devices that are no lonnger accessible. If your zmatter board is mounted in the external enclosure You could unplug it and see what happens. I would assume that the device tree would show those devices with a red exclamation mark. If you mount an already populated zmatter dongle in a different controller the device tree, and associated programs probably won't show the data on the zmatter dongle. I'm not sure if there's a way to do a sync and update. Probably best to open a ticket
  4. Filterlinc is still available: Powerline Noise Filter – Insteon Also take a look at these links: INSTEON Signal / Noise Troubleshooting - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com) INSTEON: Troubleshooting Communications Errors - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)
  5. ISY Finder was renamed IoX Launcher, they both serve the same function AC = Admin Console PG3 = Polyglot version 3, which is accessible from the IoX Launcher when you click on version
  6. These are known issues and should be resoved in the next release. Re: your custom messages not playing, I had the same issue. Try stopping and restarting both the bluetooth service and the audio player. If that doesn't work then uninstall and reinstall the audio player. There's also an issue with the end of the custom messages being cut off. Hopefully that will be addressed in the next release.
  7. Glad to see you're up and running. Now backup up your ISY.
  8. Do you have a current ISY backup. The backup must have been created by clicking on FILE | BACKUP IOX You can also try closing the admin console, removing power from the ISY, then boot it up.
  9. @vmastros It won't ask you to download a file, it just places the IoX Launcher icon on your desktop Try the default login whid is admin / admin
  10. Clear you java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp You shouldn't be extracting any zip files associated with the ISY
  11. @schda12 Attached is the Insteon White Paper, a technical document detailing the Insteon protocol. Hope this also helps to answer some of your questions. Insteon white paper.pdf
  12. It's a known issue and hopefully will be fixed in the next audio player release,
  13. @schda12 Hi David You're asking for a 6 month course to be narrowed down to 30 minutes. A good place for you to start is the ISY Cookbook. It's not completely up to date but should contain answers to a lot of your questions. Here's the link: The ISY-994i Home Automation Cookbook (universal-devices.com) The troubleshooting section of the UDI Wiki should also prove helpful, i.e. INSTEON: Troubleshooting Communications Errors - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)

    Eisy Audio Player

@Michel Kohanim Is it possible to add my own MP3 files to the directory where the default MP3 files are stored as I don't want to rely on the cloud or text to speech conversions for my text messages. I use Audacity to create the files. It's a great program and allows for editing etc. I'm still having issues getting bluetooth to work but it may be a compatibility issue with the devices I'm trying to use.
  16. I've paired the Audio Player with a bluetooth speaker and a bluetooth headset but I'm not getting any audio out of either bluetooth device. I've tried restarting the bluetooth service and the audio player to no avail, any suggestions? On occasion, when I try to play a file the audio player locks up and I have to restart it.
  17. All my fast on / fast off triggered programs worked after my migration from the ISY994 to the Eisy. I did have a few issues with some programs and to resolve the issues I made a copy of the program (right click, copy) and then deleted the original and then deleted the word "copy" from the new program and saved it.
  18. Sorry, I have no idea. Can you do a file search for udi_tree.state which is one of the files
  19. One other thing you can try doing is deleting the ISY temporary files. First close the admin console. They're located in the following directory: C:\(your user name)\AppData\Local\Temp You should see 5 files starting with UDI. Deleting them will not affect your configuration or programs, etc. They will be recreated next time you run the admin console
  20. Insteon no longer makes a lightbulb. If you have the Zmatter dongle then there are zwave bulbs available, do a search on Amazon
  21. I though you also had a Pollisy. In that case I'm not sure what could be causihng your issue. You can try removing power from the ISY, then remove the SD card and clean its contacts with a soft eraser. The final firmware version for the ISY994 was 5.3.4. Here are the release notes. Did you follow the procedures when you updated to 5.3.4? 5.3.4 (ISY994) - Last release for ISY994 - Current Release Announcements - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com)

My only suggestion is to play with your browser settings. They may need a tweak. Try these security settings:
  23. Is your issue is only with the ISY994?

    Tutorial

I'm using the edge browser and am able to access the eisy config page. It's possible that a setting in your browser is blocking the access This is the page that should come up, then click on advanced to access the config data

Which browser are you using. It should work with the edge browser. Also take a look at your router to verify the eisy's IP address
