I'm not sure if the Zooz 800 is compatible with the Polisy. Make sure the the Polisy firmware is up to date and in the configuration tab of the admin console be sure to check the Zwave box, then save. Below is the link to the UDI Zmatter/Zwave/Zigbee addon module for the Polisy ZMatter USB: Z-Wave+, Zigbee, and Matter Module for eisy (Z-Wave+ Certified - Long Range) - Universal Devices (universal-devices.com)

ZWave Energy Monitor Plug for 220v Loads
Techman replied to matapan's topic in Z-Wave - Series 300/500
@DennisC My dryer is at the opposite end of the house and I'm never able to hear when the dryer stops, and I've also been looking for a solution. When you open or close the dryer door doesn't that cause the sensor to change states? Do you have to manually start a (isy) program everytime you start the dryer? -
If the older devices are single band then replacing them with dual band devices would give you a more robust insteon mesh network and there's a good chance it would clear up your intermittent issue.
-
It's probably something on the powerline that's interferring with the Insteon signal. Are all the devices in the scene dual band? What type of loads are the scene devices controlling?
-
@vbPhil If you have a scene that has issues you can right click on the scene then run scene diagnostics. The report will show you if all the devices in the scene responded, if not it will show you which device failed. You can then troubleshoot that one device.
-
Most of your suggestions would require the Insteon device to report an issue to the controller, that's something that's not possible with the current Insteon device firmware. The UDI controller can query devices, based on a schedule, and will display an issue in the device tree if it is unable to commnicate with a device. Most issues are either due to device failure or communications failures. There is really no way with the current available technology to diagnose and identify communication issues other than trial and error. At one time there was a company that made a device to monitor powerline noise and display device signal strength but they are no longer around.

In your previous post your SSID is showing "Elan Guest Wi-Fi", so I thought you were on the router's guest network. A guest network only allows access to the internet, and not to any devices connected to the router. Is your eisy currently connected to the router via ethernet? If so are you able to access via the IoX Launcher?
-
If you're trying to connect to your guest network rather than your primary network that could be your problem. Both your computer and your eisy should be on your primary network. Generally speaking, it not a good idea to have a network that isn't password protected.

@armymutt The load wire on the Keypad should be capped off being that there's no load connected to the Keypad.
-
@John Chen Right click on the devices you're having issues with, then click on restore device. Did that correct the problem?
-
@armymutt "Cant determine Insteon engine" means that the PLM is unable to communicate with the device. It usually occurs when you attempt to install a device and enter an incorrect device address during the linking process. The device address can sometimes be misread, i.e. 8 and B What's is the address of the device you're trying to install?
-
@John Chen Adding to @IndyMike conclusion, I've attached a trouble shooting article. It was written for X10 but it's also applicable to Insteon. Powerline noise.pdf

I don't have an exact answer for you, but 130 degrees could take a toll on the electronics. Generally speaking the recommended maximum temperature for electronics is 95 degrees fahrenheit to ensure longevity and optimal performance. Being that the dongle is enclosed in a metal enclosure there's no pathway for the heat to disperse. It's possible that the dongle temperature could exceed the attic temperature. If you need better range you could add a Zwave 700 series repeater.

To install the AudioPlayer, In the PG3 Plugins Store, click on AUDIO PLAYER. If you want the professional version 1.3.3, click in the install option which will ask for credit card info etc. The audio player will then install itself into your device tree on the EISY. If you plan on using the AudioPlayer with bluetooth devices, then install the free bluetooth service which can also be found in the plugins Store. The bluetooth service will install itself in the device tree on your EISY. There's really not much to setup or configure once they're installed

If you're on Android, in udmobile when you click on the home icon, then click on the name of your controller, the next page that comes up will have the 3 dots in the upper right. Clicking on the 3 dots will bring up the Synchronize option
-
The admin console should work without internet. Try rebooting your router If that doesn't work then try clearing your Java cache and download the IoX Launcher again https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp

Envisalink-DSC Purchase Successful PG3 Store Doesn't Show As Installed
Techman replied to mmb's topic in EnvisaLink-DSC
It shows that the plugin is installed in slot 1, and the license is perpetual. Your order ID is confirmation of your license, and the price you paid is $10.95. If you wanted to reinstall it you first would have to uninstall the plugin. -
If you change the ramp rate from 9 minutes to 0, does the light work. I dont think 9 minutes is supported even though it's an option.

In order for the Zmatter dongle to support Zwave 800 it requires a new chipset and possibly a new zwave certification. It's a costly and time consuming process so it will probably be a while before it's available.

@DRousseau When you click on HELP | ABOUT in the admin console what displays as your firmware and UI versions?

Replace PLM.pdf There's no specific test to detect powerline noise. I've attched articles on PLM replacement and powerline noise. The article on line noise references X10 but is applicable to Insteon Powerline noise.pdf

@CMortimer If you're still having issues then it's probebly best to sumbit a support ticket https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets

@AD8BC Are on Windows or a MAC. Do you have any VPN software running? It sounds like the issue may be with your switch. Is everything is working correctly when you're directly connected to the router?
