  1. @62vetteefp The problem is not with your PLM or your ISY Your firmware and UI must be the same version. Your screenshot shows your firmware at 4.9.0 and your UI at 4.7.3. You need to clear your java cache, be sure to check all three boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here. This will update your UI to 4.9.0 https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  2. Zigbee operates in the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio bands. With the 2.4 GHz band being primarily used for lighting and home automation devices in most jurisdictions worldwide. While devices for commercial utility metering and medical device data collection often use sub-GHz frequencies, (902-928 MHz in North America, Australia, and Israel, 868-870 MHz in Europe, 779-787 MHz in China, even those regions and countries still using the 2.4 GHz for most globally sold Zigbee devices meant for home use. With data rates varying from around 20 kbit/s for sub-GHz bands to around 250 kbit/s for channels on the 2.4 GHz band range). Zigbee uses a low power mesh network protocol (802.15.4), so it's possible that @tjkintz may need addional devices to improve his network communications.
  3. I've not had any experience with Zigbee. It's possible that the European version uses a different coding than the U.S. version. It's probably best to open a support ticket with UDI. https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets
  4. The backup process was greatly improved in the current firmware, the process is now almost instantaneous.
  5. Once it's no longer in water you have to press the set button on the leak detector to reset the status to dry.
  6. Techman replied to jkraus's topic in Polisy
Not sure if the ZST39 is compatible but if it is, the 800 series has longer range than the previous versions but your zwave network would be contstained by the devices that are not the 800 series. You could open a support ticket with UD to find out if it's compatible. I've attached the 800 series datasheet. Zwave 800 datasheet.pdf
  7. Its best to use a reserved address rather than a static address
  8. Glad you got it resolved. Make sure you have DHCP enabled on your router. Your ISY should have shown up in the admin console.
  9. The cable between the PLM and the ISY has different pin connections than the stock ethernet cables. From the UDI Wiki ISY Launcher cannot find ISY Make certain that you are using ISY Launcher. This is a MUST If you have VPN software running, Admin Console cannot search for ISY on your computer. Please disable the VPN, find ISY's IP address and then click the Add button and enter it manually Make certain that, after reboot, the pattern of lights is as described here If you have recently changed your modem/router, please follow these instructions If you have any firewall software, make sure it's configured properly If all the above have been checked, it's almost a guarantee that that your ISY is not on the same network as your computer. Perhaps at some point you might have configured ISY with a static IP address. Or, that your WiFi network is not connected to the wired network. ISY Not Found If IoX Launcher cannot find your device (ISY994 [EOL], Polisy, eisy): Most importantly, you need to reinstall the IoX Launcher VPN software is running on your computer or you're on a VPN network Unit is not on the same network as your computer. Perhaps you changed routers? If so: follow these instructions If not #1, please open your router page and see whether or not you see ISY994-EMS (for ISY994 [EOL]), polisy (for Polisy), or eisy (for eisy) in the list of LAN clients. If you find the IP address, then, in IoX Finder, click on the Add button and enter ISY994: http://1.2.3.4/desc (replace 1.2.3.4 with the actual IP of ISY in the router) Polisy/eisy: https://1.2.3.4:8443/desc (replace 1.2.3.4 with the actual IP of Polisy/eisy in the router) If not #2, then perhaps the unit is not powering on: ISY994: Please make sure the LED pattern is as outlined here Polisy: Reboot the unit, all 3 LEDs should get lit and then only the left most is lit. Wait for 30-60 seconds. You may hear a beep. eisy: Reboot the unit, allow 2-3 minutes for everything to boot and stabilize before attempting to open IoX Launcher If not #3, the issue is that you might have firewall/VPN or antivirus software (especially VPN) blocking network communications.
  10. The IoX Launcher is 100% compatible with your computer. Are you running a firewall or antivirus software? Post a screen shot after you've clicked on the IoX Launcher
  11. What computer are you using, and what windows/apple software? Do you have the IoX Launcher on your desktop
  12. Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes (see attached) , then download the latest version of the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Your ISY should show up in the launcher. Let me know if that resolves your issue.
  13. The ISY994 was discontinued and is no longer supported. The license fee is optional, and is for the ISY remote portal. If you access your ISY only from home then that can be done with the IoX Launcher for which there is no fee. The cable from the PLM to the ISY is a custom cable that was furnished with the PLM, not a standard cat5 cable. If, in the future, you want to add newer Zwave and Insteon devices, and you would like to access your devices from a smartphone using the free UD Mobile app, then you probably need the EISY along with the Zwave option and the portal.
  14. The low voltage transformers are capable of creating noise on the power line. All you need is for one to go bad. Best to try process of elimination as you suggested.
  15. Loads can go bad. What do you have plugged in to the device, i.e. led bulbs have a electronic driver circuit.
  16. If a load turns on but not off then it could be the load, when on, that's creating noise on the powerline. I doubt that the issue is with the eisy itself.
  17. No. The dimmer uses a triac and the on/off uses a relay.
  18. Then you have the 500 series Zwave board. Your ISY setup fully supports the migration process to the eisy.
  19. Not sure if you're saying you do, or do not, have a blue led on the back of the ISY994, please clarify. At this time all other leds and connections are irrelevant as we need to determine what Zwave board you have installed and if your existing firmware is correct for the installed Zwave board. Note: the 300 series Zwave board is only compatible with ISY firmware 5.0.16C (and below).
  20. If your ISY994 firmware is currently 5.3.4 and the rear of your ISY does not have the blue led showing then your Zwave card is the 500 series, so you're ready for migration. Make sure that you backup both ther ISY994 and Zwave before starting migration. You should also do a firmware update on the EISY before migration. Exactly follow the migration instructions below: Eisy:User Guide - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki After migration you need to review all your programs as some may need to be manually updated. Also perform a zwave and EISY backup after migration.
  21. What is the current version of your ISY firmware, in the admin console click on HELP | ABOUT Do you currently have Zwave devices installed in your ISY994, if so, how many? The ISY Zwave backup is stored in the ISY, there's no need to know its exact location In the ISY click on Zwave and look for its firmware version, that will determine what Zwave board you have installed. The 300 series Zwave board has a blue led on back of case, the 500 board does not have an led. Is your EISY using the external Zwave/Zmatter dongle? DO NOT update your ISY firmware until you know what Zwave board is installed in your ISY
  22. The process has not changed, but there may have been a later firmware update, follow the previous instructions. The Polisy is still fully supported by UDI.
  23. I have the ZAC38. The admin console will display the AC Mains Disconnected assuming that the eisy/poolisy is on a UPS. The only glitch is when the controler is rebooted, the AC Mains stats doesn't update to show connected, however if A/C power to the ZAC38 is lost then the disconnect will again show in the admin console. After a reboot, if you unplug then reconnect the ZAC38 the admin console will show the correct status. If your controller and router are on a UPS then you're able to receive a power fail email
  24. Click on the line that says ISY, that should then take you into your ISY. The fact the the led is not lit on the PLM probably means that the PLM power supply has failed. Being that the ISY is discontinuted and no longer supported you may want to consider the EISY anhd a new USB PLM from Insteon. UD Store - Universal Devices
  25. Try removing power from the ISY, then remove the SD card and clean its contacts with a soft eraser. If that doesn't help then it's possible the SD card failed. Is the green led on your PLM lit? Check your ISY power supply for the correct voltage Is you Java current? You can also try clearing your java cache, be sure to check all three boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Let me know if any of these steps resolve youe issue.
