How to migrate to ZMatter Z-Wave using an ISY-994 Backup
Techman replied to Chris Jahn's topic in IoX Support
Battery operated devices go to sleep in order to preserve battery life. Did you wake them up by pressing the button on the device before you ran the interview process? You need to start with the Zwave device closest to the Polisy and work out from there. -
Replaced PLM Modem, now my Insteon devices flash red after local changes.
Techman replied to John Vickers's topic in ISY994
It appears that your ISY link tables got corrupted, so when you restored your PLM the corrupted links got written to the new PLM. The only way that I'm aware to resolve this is to delete and reinstall your devices. Needless to say, be sure to do a backup any time you make changes to your devices or programs., -
@Don The 2450 is on back order. You can add your name to a notify list: I/O Module - Low Voltage Controller – Insteon Here's a Z-wave possibility ZOOZ ZEN17 UNIVERSAL RELAY – ZOOZ (getzooz.com) What did you end up doing that finally got your issues resolved?

Here's the link for 5.3.4 ISY 994i Series including Z-Wave support After the upgrade you must clear your java cache including checking the box "all installed applications" and then down load the IoX Launcher from here: start.jnlp

@sun-sense 5.3.4 (ISY994) - Last release for ISY994 - Current Release Announcements - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com) Scroll down and you'll see the firmware link.

@sun-sense When you click on help about, what are your firmware and UI versions. Does the admin Console launcher on your desktop show as IoX Launcher?

Try removing power from both the PLM and the EISY. Power up the PLM, wait about 10 seconds then power up the EISY. Do you now see your modules?

Replaced PLM Modem, now my Insteon devices flash red after local changes.
Techman replied to John Vickers's topic in ISY994
@John Vickers Is this happening to just one device or multiple devices? Right click on the device, click on DIAGNOSTICS, SHOW DEVICE LINKS TABLE. After the device links fully populates, click on COMPARE. Does the compare show any mismatched links other the last one which should be all 0. Being that you have a new PLM I'm wondering if Insteon made any changes in their PLM firmware that's causing a compatibility issue. -

Your PLM link count sounds low, about how many Insteon devices do you have? You might want to try updating your firmware to 5.3.4, which has some bug fixes. -

Try removing power from both the PLM and the ISY. Wait about 15 seconds then power up the PLM. Wait another 15 seconds then power up the ISY. You can also try clicking on TOOLS, DIAGNOSTICS, SHOW PLM LINKS TABLE. What is the link count? What is your ISY and UI firmware versions? Is the PLM new or used. What is the date code and version on the PLM? Is the green led on the PLM a solid green? -

Try doing a factory reset on the switch, then a restore device. to factory reset, pull out the set button then push it in and continue holding it in, the switch will beep. Once the beeping stops let go of the set button, the load will turn on, then do a restore device. Let me know if that fixed it. -

Right click on a device that's not working, then click on restore device. Did that correct the problem? -
@shm It's possible your PLM is failing. What's the 4 digit date code and version number? The good news is that Insteon now has PLMs in stock, so you might want to order a backup replacement.
-
Unplug you PLM, wait about 10 seconds, then plug it back in. Is the green led on the PLM lit? In the admin console, click on TOOLS, DIAGNOSTICS, PLM STATUS, does it show the PLM as connected?
-
@DRousseau Currently, does one of the switches turn on the load, or do both switches not turn on the load? If one switch turns the load on but the other doesn't then you need to create a scene with both switches as controllers in the scene.

Remove power from the EISY, then power it up, wait a minute, then press the front button ONCE. Wait about 10 minutes while the eisy updates. Clear your Java cache, including installed applications and then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Are you using the same PLM for both the ISY994 and the EISY? What is the firmware version on your ISY994?
-
The red wire coming from the switch provides power to the load. What do the switches control and how the load getting its power?
-
Try removing power from the eisy for a few minutes. Clear your java cache including all installed applications, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp After it powers up, press the front button ONCE, then wait about 10 minutes before you try to access the eisy.

It looks like you have your Rx and Tx connections reversed. Also make sure that Insteon is enabled in your configuration screen. Let me know if that resolves your issue
-
Use HTML and at the end of each line add "<BR><BR>" , which is a CR
-
Check to make sure your password is entered in PG3 under system You can also try removing power from the EISY, this worked for me.
-
Take a look at this link. Under these circumstances the EISY would not be aware of the ALL ON event INSTEON Random All On Events - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)

New Clean EISY - Fresh Update - Fresh Migration - Can't login to PG3x
Techman replied to ISY4Me's topic in Polyglot v3 (PG3x)
To resolve the EISY PGx login issue, either press the button on the front of the EISY once and wait about 5 minutes while the EISY updates. If that doesn't work, then remove power from the EISY and then power it back up. -
You would need something like this. https://www.amazon.com/Aeotec-AEZW150-Bypass-Z-Wave-Dimmer/dp/B017BK1MIA The led bulbs are controlled by a built-in electronic circuit which does not allow enough voltage to pass to the 2474DWH switch, which has a triac dimmer, for it to properly work.
