  1. Hi everyone, We recently posted the LED Flicker/Glow Eliminators on our store., we wanted to proactively let you know we have corrected some information on that product page. We had mentioned that the “Blue” version would be beneficial to use with our Dimmer (2-wire), providing adequate wattage for powering the dimmer if the load was less than the required amount. However, after further testing, we found that it doesn’t do this. Therefore, we adjusted the description on the product page accordingly. Please make sure to read through before making your purchase when these are in stock. Thank you, Insteon Support Team support@insteon.com
  2. Is the green led on the PLM lit? What's the 4 digit date code on the PLM. What's the firmware version of the PLM? Have you tried replacing the USB cable
  3. @Chas717 Here's the current migration instructions Eisy:User Guide - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)
  4. It's possible that your portal password and your EISY password are different.
  5. To view your EISY firmware version run this link in your browser: eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt (scroll down to view the firmware, see the attached screenshot) The current firmware is 5.7.1_7
  6. The EISY doesn't have a serial port only USB ports for the PLM. In order to use the serial PLM you need a serial to USB converter. A USB PLM to USB connector on the EISY makes for a cleaner interface with less to go wrong.
  7. You should probably factory reset your EISY, and the USB PLM, then do a EISY firmware update brfore migrating. What is the firmware version on your ISY. Do you have the 300 or the 500 series Zwave board on the ISY? Be sure to do both a an ISY and a Zwave backup before migrating, and exactly follow the migration instructions.
  8. @MarkJames Remove power from the Eisy for about 15 seconds then boot it up. Your programs should then show up. You should also update your firmware and UI to the current versions
  9. Be sure to follow the attached procedure when replacing the PLM Replace Modem.pdf
  10. You should order the USB PLM. During migration not all scenes were affected. You should run the scene diagnostics on all your scenes to verify them.
  11. The problem appears to be with the scene itself, the next step would be to delete the scene and then recreate it. During migtation there were issues with some scenes not migrating properly, that's most likely is the case with your scene.
  12. The status of a scene doesn't display as a scene is unable to report status. You can right click on a scene, then run DIAGNOSTICS | SCENE TEST, which will show any issues within the scene. Copy and post the results of the test.
  13. That's normal with the current version of the IoX Launcher. You can launch your polisy from either. No action is needed
  14. Random "all on" events won't show up in the event log. If you don't see the garage open event in your log then focus on both the "all on" trouble shooting or the possibility of a failing insteon device somewhere in your network which can create false Insteon signals.
  15. If you don't see a log entry for the IOLinc and Siren being activated at the time the garage door opened then take a look at this link: INSTEON Random All On Events - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)
  16. If "everythihng works just fine" then I think you're looking for a problem that doesn't exist yet. If it's not broken then don't fix it.
  17. I don't know of a way to view the activity or error logs except via the admin console, which, as Geddy has said, should not be left open for long periods. If the issue is always with the same device(s) then you should factory reset the device and then do a restore device. A device that is failing can also cause the issue. Also take a look at this link INSTEON Random All On Events - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki (universal-devices.com)
  18. There are documented issues with Java and Mac. Do a search on the forum, "java and mac". Not sure if or how it was resolved. I'm a Windows user and not familiar with Mac.
  19. Not sure exactly what it is you're looking for. If the devices work as expected and their status displays correctly in the admin console then all is good. Zwave is a mesh network, alll a/c powered devices relay their data. There's is no way that I know of to tell if a device is communicating with the Zmatter dongle directly or via a relay in the Zwave mesh network.
  20. Are you on Windows or a Mac, what version Have you tried uninstalling and re-installing Java?
  21. You could right click on a device, click on X-ray, then node info.
  22. yes, removing power rather than the reboot option Reboot your computer, then the eisy
  23. You can also try removing power from the eisy for about 15 seconds, then boot it up.
  24. Your IoX Launcher may not be current. Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp If this doesn't resolve your error then you may have to reinstall java.
  25. If you only have a few links in your PLM then the restore PLM procedure didn't work, i.e. the links in the ISY didn't get written to the PLM. Are you sure you ran "RESTORE MODEM (PLM)" from the file menu. If so, then do a restore devices Restore Devices Selecting this menu option starts the ISY to use the current configurations settings stored within ISY, and reprograms all the INSTEON devices based on them. Upon completion, this operation reboots ISY and closes Admin Console. This operation is most useful when a PLM is replaced or if INSTEON devices and their logical representations on ISY are out of synch. This scenario might happen if INSTEON devices are manually linked without using ISY’s GUI. Please follow the instructions below: If you are replacing a PLM: Please make sure you reboot ISY with the new PLM before doing anything else Click on File | Restore ISY and restore a good backup. If you are replacing a defective PLM, choose a backup from right before the PLM died. This is a very important step Once ISY reboots, wait for the query to complete If you have PRO series, click on the Battery icon on the top right corner of the tool bar. This prevents ISY from trying to restore battery operated devices since they are sleeping and will not respond Please make sure ISY is in Ready state Click on File | Restore Devices - this will take a long while In case ISY cannot communicate (or decides not to if an RF device/PRO Series) during the process, you will have a series of nodes with green 1011 icons in the device tree. For each one of those nodes: If an RF device, ensure that the device is in Programming mode Right mouse click | Write pending updates or Write updates to device... For some newer INSTEON devices, you might have to repeat this step a couple of times since some devices may not go into linking mode If you have PRO series, click on the battery icon on the toolbar so that ISY goes back to normal mode
