  1. A battery operated device must be awake for it to receive a Firmware update. To verify the device has been updated you need to first either uninstall and reinstall the device, or right click on the device and click on Zwave | Synchronize | Update with Interview. Then verify the firmware version using Xray | DH Command Class Let me know if the update was successful. An update can take up to 10 minutes.

Your ISY firmware and UI is outdated. The latest version, assuming that you don't have Zwave 300 installed is here: 5.3.4 (ISY994) - Last release for ISY994 - Current Release Announcements - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com) This firmware release contains bug fixes and improvements. Be sure to read the release notes before updating.
  3. Take a look at the FEIT bulbs https://www.feit.com/collections/flood-spot-lighting they dim well and don't flicker. I've used them for years without issues.
  4. Techman replied to CopyRon's topic in ZMatter
I would assume so as most zwave devices are backwards compatible. The 800 series devices are not widely available.
  5. Correct, IF Keypad is switched ON or Switchlinc is switched ON THEN Program run then (program name)
  6. LED bulbs have a built-in driver circuit. Some LEDs are not compatible with the triac dimmer that Insteon uses. I've had good results with FEIT led bulbs.
  7. Techman replied to CopyRon's topic in ZMatter
The 800 series requires a different chipset so Zmatter won't directly support it. The eisy / polisy probably can't support two controllers at the same time.
  8. IF Status Swirtchlinc is ON THEN Program run then (program name) ELSE
  9. When you cleared your java cache did you check the box "installed applications"? Which will remove the IoX Launcher from your desktop.
  10. @kartman_canada Make sure your laptop is on the same network as your eisy, i.e. not the guest network. Best to clear your java cache and download the IoX Launcher after the upgrade not before.
  11. To confirm the device's current z-wave firmware version information: Right click on the device | X-Ray | DH Command Classes, click on go and look for the Version command class (134) and you will see something similar: data.applicationMajor = 1 (0x00000001) data.applicationMinor = 10 (0x0000000a) In this case it equates to version 1.10
  12. Yes, it's OK to now update to 5.7.0 on the eisy.
  13. @xlurkr You should also clear your java cache, including checking the box "installed applications" and then download the newer version of the IoX Launcher https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  14. The PLM power supply most likely failed. This is somewhat typical on the older PLMs. The newer PLMs have improved components, and updated firmware.
  15. Insteon engine not found means that the PLM is unable to communicate with the device. Is the green led lit on your PLM? Are you able to communicate with other Insteon devices? When you updated to 5.7.0 did you clear your java cache, including checking the box "installed applications" and then download the (new) IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  16. Are you sure that the .GBL update file is newer than the firmware that's currently on your sensors. Have you verified your current device firmware? The update process could take about 10 minutes and should work with the 5.7.0 eisy firmware.
  17. When you download the (new) IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp It will place a Launcher on your desktop
  18. Techman replied to BrianN324's topic in ISY994
Verify that your ISY is connected to your router, and that the ethernet cable is properly seated. You don't need a crossover cable, just the standard ethernet cable. Make sure you have the current java version which is (build 1.8.0_381-b09) If you have a reserved address in your router for the ISY try deleting it. Try rebooting your router Try rebooting the ISY
  19. Techman replied to BrianN324's topic in ISY994
The ISY994 has reached its end of life and is no longer supported by UD.. The good news is that the forum is still supporting the ISY. Clear your java cache, including checking the box" installed applications" then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp What is your ISY firmware version? Let me know if, after the above, you're able to access your ISY
  20. The set button on the leak sensor is basically used for two purposes. 1. to put the sensor into the linking mode. 2. To reset the sensor from wet to dry once the sensor has detected water but is no longer in water. To check the sensor place it on a wet paper towel. The ISY should show the wet node as on and the dry node as off. Take the sensor off of the paper towel and press the set button once, the ISY should show the dry node as on and the wet node as off.
  21. @mmb You need to clear your java cache and then download the IoX Launcher, that will correct the "not found" issue. Apparently, the launcher has been updated You may have used an older version. https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  22. Hi everyone,   I hope you all had a great summer and is settling in for the Fall season with kids going back to school and football back on TV! Let me kick this off with a few product updates.... First and foremost, I wanted to apologize for the lack of Hub 2 controller and Dimmer (2477D) availability. Due to a much higher-than-expected demand, we ran out of Hub 2 and Dimmer units much sooner than we anticipated. And with long manufacturing lead times, we can react only so quickly. We have adjusted our forecasts to align with the increased demand for our products. We expect to have Hub 2 controllers back in stock by late October (this pushed from a mid-September ETA) and Dimmers by the last week of September. Please be sure to sign up for an alert when they go back in stock by clicking the NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE button on their product pages. I have always promised that I will share unwelcome news along with the good, and this is one of those situations that needed to be addressed. I will say the silver-lining is that higher-than-expected-demand means that existing and new customers are recognizing Insteon as the premiere solution for home automation and control. Since we do not have inventory of new Hubs, but we also had to cease taking orders for Hub migrations. To counter that, we have resumed the Hub refurbishment program. If you have a pending migration order, don’t worry, we do have enough units to cover existing orders. Also, if you are looking for a Dimmer, I recommend checking out our i3 Paddle as an alternative. On a more positive note, we do have units of the 4-scene and 1-scene Mini Remotes arriving in the next few weeks. Meanwhile, Table Top Enclosures, Dimmer (High-Wattage), and Dimmer (2-Wire) units on expected in late Fall along with additional colorways of change kits for both 8- and 6-button Keypads and Switches (2477D Dimmer and 2477S On/Off). Be sure to click the NOTIFY ME WHEN AVAILABLE links for these products once they are live on our store. Speaking of keypads, we are very excited to announce we have a partner who is now taking orders for laser-etching our 8- and 6-button keypads. Please visit Domotinc for more information. Thank you to everyone who has waited patiently for this service! A few quick notes on apps.... On the Director front, we are still working on I/O Module – Low Voltage Controller (I/O Linc) support. This is taking a bit longer than we expected and we will update you as soon as this is ready! I also regret to say that the Yonomi smart home app will be going away at the end of September. You can read more here. For those of you that use the Insteon skill with Amazon Alexa, we’ve released an update to our skill that now proactively pushes changes in real-time so that you no longer must tell Alexa to make a discovery after you add, edit, or remove devices and scenes. Thanks, and have a great week!    Ken  CEO, Insteon Technologies  Feedback Form Link: https://www.insteon.com/general-feedback
  23. There could be several issues. The 4.9.0 firmware is outdated. For the ISY994 with the 300 series board the latest firmware is 5.0.16C The ISY994 has been discontinued and is no longer supported. It's possible that the 5.0.16C firmware may correct your problem(s). All your Zwave devices will be constrained by the 300 series controller which has a shorter range and slower performance than the 700 series The current hardware is the EISY and the 700 series Zmatter board. 5.0.16C (ISY994) - Last version to support Z-Wave 300 Series - Current Release Announcements - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com)
  24. @Chris Jahn @Michel Kohanim Please pull this update. It has too many issues.
  25. Upgraded eisy from 5.6.4 to 5.7.0 When I clicked on reboot I got a Java socket error then it rebooted After the reboot the eisy didn't show up in the launcher, and I didn't get the traditional clear your java cache message. I cleared the java cache and 5.7.0 now shows up in the launcher, however when I clicked on the 5.7.0 I got a popup window that said "Not Found" I clicked OK in the box and the admin console loaded. I don't see an option in the Zwave menu for OTA updates. If I close the admin console and then open it again I still get the "not found" window. UPDATE: I just noticed that all my programs have been disabled
