Really strange error trying to link a factory reset switch...
"Cannot determine Insteon Engine" means that the PLM is unable to communicate with the device. The error could be due to an error in the address you've entered or a PLM issue, usually caused by noise on the powerline. Take a look at the device address as it's easy to confuse B and 8 You might also try removing power from the PLM and the eisy, then power up the PLM wait about 15 seconds then power up the eisy. Also make sure that the firmware on the eisy is up to date.

Insteon Device Status does not Auto Refresh
Have you tried right clicking on a device then doing a restore device? If that doesn't work then it's possible that the ISY link tables are damaged or that the SD card is failing

Zwave - have both ZW and ZY devices, and finding a Zwave device
If you create a Topology report [ TOOLS, GERERATE TOPOLOGY] it will generate a list of all your installed devices.

Insteon Device Status does not Auto Refresh
If you have on 56 links in your PLM, then the restore PLM procedure didn't fully complete. Did you follow the instructions in the attached file. Replace Modem.pdf

Zwave - have both ZW and ZY devices, and finding a Zwave device
If you named your devices ZW xxxx prior to migration, then when you migrate the device name will not change. When in the device's status window, the device ID should show ZY under the device name.

help resetting 994i after move
I'm not aware of obtaining an earlier version of the launcher. The current version contains updates and bug fixes. Can you update your MAC to the current operating system version? Some of the older MACs can't be updated past 10.15.XX, in which case it may be time to replace your MAC. The following can be updated past 10.15.XX MacBook Pro: Early 2015 and later. MacBook Air: Early 2015 and later. MacBook: Early 2016 and later. iMac Pro: 2017 and later. iMac: Late 2015 and later. Mac Pro: Late 2013 and later. Mac Mini: Late 2014 and later.

help resetting 994i after move
Your firmware and UI must be the same version. You need to clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, and then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Once you install the launcher your UI and firmware will match, and you should then be able to change / edit your data.

eISY cannot connect to USB PLM
Be sure to follow the "Replace modem " procedure, attached. Let the forum know the results once you get your new PLM. Replace Modem.pdf

eISY cannot connect to USB PLM
That probably narrows it down to either the USB cable or the PLM.

eISY cannot connect to USB PLM
A few things to try: Plug the USB cable into a different port on the eisy. Try a different USB cable. Is the PLM plugged directly into an outlet and not a UPS or power strip? It's remotely possible that the PLM or eisy got damaged due to a powerline spike. Is the eisy plugged directly into an outlet?

eISY cannot connect to USB PLM
The set button shouldn't do anything when it's pressed while the PLM is powered. If you remove the PLM from power, then hold down the set button while you plug the PLM back in, and continue to hold it down, the PLM will beep and do a factory reset. You need to keep the button pressed until the beeping stops. At this point I wouldn't recommend factory resetting the PLM. In the admin console, If you click on TOOLS, DIAGNOSTICS, PLM INFO STATUS, what does it show?

ISY admin tool, why is it so complicated to start?
Internet Explorer was phased out by Microsoft and was replaced by the Edge browser. Download the edge browser and remove Internet Explorer which is no longer supported by most sites. Download Microsoft Edge

@OffToSeeTheWizard On one of the devices that's not updating, do a restore device. Did that correct the issue for that device?

Assuming you have an eisy, run this link which will display your configuration parameters. https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt The IoX Launcher will still display 5.7.0 Screenshot 2023-10-13 124905.pdf

Your question is addressed in this post from earlier today. If you update to 5.7.0_4 it contains the debugging code.
