There lies your problem.. You can only use "replace with" when you're replacing like devices. You can't use it to replace a dimmer with an on off switch. It's probably best to delete the device and start over.

@stupalermo When you add a device it will usually be at either the top or bottom of your device tree. When you say you "swapped" devices, exactly how did you swap them?

I did, and I know of a few others. It allows you to position the dongle's antennas away from obstructions for better RF coverage. It also eliminates potential strain on the eisy USB port.

@ulrick65 The USB ports on the eisy are 3.0, not sure what the Zmatter dongle is. A USB 2.0 cable should be OK.

Yes, USB 2.0 has a recommended maximum cable lenght of 15 feet. USB 3.x has a shorter recommended length of about 9 feet

I desire to install the replacement IOLinc without rebuilding all associated scenes and programs Yes, use the "Replace Device" option in the right click menu of the device you're replacing. You'll first need to install the new device, but don't rename it. Final question (for today... 🙂). I have two 2443 Access Points (AP) in this house. In both cases they are in close proximity to 2486 Control Keypads and wireless motion detectors. Are the APs really required (the keypads are actually closer to the motion detectors)? How do I tell if they are actually doing anything (they appear to be totally idle - no LED activity at all)? You can try removing the access points, then use the 4 tap test, which also works on most insteon devices, (see attached file). Looks like the Filterlinc is available. For some reason it didn't show up on their product page, but it's on their store page which I overlooked..

@DwayneA You can also try plugging your battery charger, or other offending devices, into a noise filter. Insteon use to have a Filterlinc but I don't currently see it on their product list. X10 has one that will probably work, but it's only rated at 5 amps (600 watts): XPPF Plug In Filter – X10.COM

The IOLinc is a single band device (no RF) and as @IndyMike mentioned, it is susceptible to powerline interference. If you have a dual band plug-in device, try plugging it into the front of the IOLinc. If that doesn't help then try doing a factory reset / restore device on the IOLinc.

If the address is unavailable your other option is to put the device into the linking mode, the controller will then see the address. You can do that without having to remove switch plates.

EISY supports the UD Zmatter dongle (zwave, Zigbee, and Matter). I'm not sure it will support a 3rd party Zwave controller. Any certified Zwave device that measures lux will work with the zmatter dongle. I think the ZWA005 was discontinued, not sure if it's still supported.

Try doing a restore device for (58.A0.82) You also need to set the on levels and ramp rate, within the scene, for each device in that scene. The on level and ramp rate for the switch, if you operate it outside of the scene, also needs to be set for the switch.

It only took a few minutes to update, but if the UD server is busy then it might take longer.

After I did the OS Upgrade to 13.2p9 I noticed that the admin console seems to be a bit more responsive. My program lists load faster, and the device query seems to run faster.

Why not have a program set variables, one for armed stay and one for armed away. A program could look at the variables to determine the state of the system, and then reset the variable when the system is disarmed.

@kzboray Send an email to Steve Lee at Insteon: slee@insteon.com He has been with Insteon for a long time and probably has the answers to your questions. I believe that the "all on" was an Insteon firmware issue not a hardware issue. If that's the case then it should make your project a lot easier to debug.

If you have the Zwave 300 series board then you should install the 5.0.16c firmware as 5.3.4 is not compatible with the 300 series Zwave dongle. 5.0.16C (ISY994) - Last version to support Z-Wave 300 Series - Current Release Announcements - Universal Devices Forum (universal-devices.com)

The device's firmware shows up in the device tree if you click on Network or ISY. I'm not sure what versions of a specific device's firmware removed the "all on"

@Steigs You should also do a scene diagnostics, and post the results

In the admin console, after setting the on value you need to click the "on" to the left of the level setting

@WShellshear You might try clearing your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, and download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Did you follow the instructions for replacing a SD card? Are the leds on the front of the ISY properly displaying?

Make sure that the antennas are connected to the correct mount. I use a short USB cable between the eisy and the zmatter dongle to eliminate any stress on the eisy USB port.

Not sure exactly what the issue is that you're having. Is the 16GB card working as it should in your ISY, If not it wasn't programed properly.
