  1. Here you go. Event Viewer Log Level 3 for Turning Off then On a scene with both an Insteon and Z-Wave Dimmer Plug-in Modules. Network connectivity to Polisy is over Wifi. When I press the on/off button on the module I don't see any updates in the controller. Nothing in the event viewer either. The reseller tested for me on his Vera system and he says the controller updates properly. Update 2: I received my Leviton DZPD3-2BW Z-Wave plugin dimmer and a quick test shows a slight lag of about 1 sec on a on/off from from the Polisy controller. A manual on/off updates the controller properly. So something is wrong with the Zlink.
  2. I'm testing a z-wave plug-in dimmer with Polisy using the Zooz dongle and I'm seeing a 2 or 3 second delay when turning on/off compared to a similar Insteon plug-in dimmer. The dimmer is working perfectly aside from the slight slowness. It is a ZLINK Plug-in Dimmer ZL-PD-100 and sits about 15 ft from the Polisy. Is slowness an inherent characteristic of z-wave? There is lots of online discussion about slowness and it can be attributed to just about everything under the sun. I can live with it, just curious.
  3. That's good. I just noticed my gateway isn't displayed in the Polisy console, so maybe there's some small display issues to iron out. It is set though... $ netstat -rn Routing tables Internet: Destination Gateway Flags Netif Expire default 192.168.0.1 UGS wlan0 127.0.0.1 link#4 UH lo0 192.168.0.0/24 link#7 U wlan0 192.168.0.109 link#7 UHS lo0 And DNS is fine. $ grep "nameserver" /etc/resolv.conf nameserver 1.1.1.1 nameserver 9.9.9.9 nameserver 8.8.8.8
  4. Is the dhcp client running? service dhclient status wlan0 I suppose if you can't get into Polisy to check that would be a problem.
  5. Did you try the power down unplug ethernet reboot?
  6. That was exactly my experience and the DNS fields were blank. I'm wondering if the Ethernet disconnect screws Polisy up? According to the promo info: Native support for 3G/4G modems gives you the ability to go off the grid. Literally! And, if you are one of those maximum-connectivity types, get the Polisy PRO model which comes standard with Dual Band WiFi and Bluetooth (4.0). Anyway, my last try I did this: sudo shutdown -h now, unplug power and Ethernet, then power up. I see this now. And from my Unifi
  7. Interesting, as noted I see six SSIDs with the same name (2.4/5) for my three access points. My Unifi system manages connectivity steering but with Polisy I had to select a random SSID from the list. Currently Polisy is associated with 2.4 and it's operating properly.
  8. Hi Michel, I ended up moving the Polisy out of the server closet and into a new temporary space and the wifi associated properly and very quickly. This is the same server closet that was giving the ISY994 X10 grief. Anyway it is auto-populating the launcher properly. I still see multiple SSIDs but that a minor inconvenience.
  9. I may try that. As mentioned, after selecting a random Mabel SSID it finally does acquire an IP but very slowly. The launcher doesn't respond properly as there's no drop down to run the ISY console.
  10. That response was not helpful at all and it was more of a rant. Interesting that you got it running on a vm though.
  11. Thanks I learned a long time ago to keep dhcp separate, so it's on a Windows Server 2016.
  12. The ssid and password are there, thanks. I did a reboot but wifi but Polisy won't connect. Although it will eventually over several hours.
  13. Maybe my Polisy is special? There's definitely the hardware for wifi and magically it grabbed an IP started working. But you're right, I can't connect to the ISY, just Polyglot.
  14. Of course - * and a !
  15. Well it scans but not properly and won’t connect so maybe you’re right.
  16. Thanks it's off and it's visible. I've never seen this before and I manage lots of devices on this network. There is no feedback of any errors.
  17. Hi all, I want to move my Polisy to a new temporary location that unfortunately does not have an ethernet connection, so I figured it's a good time to try the wifi. In Polisy Settings I see six SSIDs of the same name. I suspect it might be because I run a Unifi system with three APs and two bands (6)? I tried to connect Polisy to one of the SSID/APs and entered the password but doesn't seem to connect. Ifconfig confirms that it fails. Am I missing something? Thanks
  18. If there was, they're long gone.
  19. My first try to add a Z-Wave device to my Polisy with a Zooz dongle is failing because of security problem. The Z-Wave device is detected right away but then I get a message : The Z-Wave network failed to securely (S0) add your device Please remove the device and try adding it again. Which I did several times with the same result. The device is a Zooz 4 in 1 sensor with motion temp etc. Any insight as to what is happening? Update 1: It looks like the device may have been previously owned and was paired to another system. Doing a factory reset fixed the problem then a double click initiated adding properly. Update 2: If you live in Canada you know we use Celsius, not Fahrenheit. Fortunately the 4-in-1 can be set to C by changing the parameter settings and writing them to the device, which does work with a bit of effort. Unfortunately the device has a scheduled wake up (12 hrs default) which for some reason resets the device back to default value of F. I contacted the manufacturer and they pointed to the Polisy as the problem ... of course. I suggested selling a 4-in-1 device with Celsius as a default given most of the world use the metric system. Thank you for the update. We haven't seen issues with switching one scale to another on different platforms such as SmartThings or Hubitat which are the most popular systems used by our customers so this seems a problem specific to ISY. If it keeps switching back to Fahrenheit for you, we would recommend consulting ISY tech support if they can identify anything on the back end causing this. I'm currently debating returning it for another sensor.
  20. I checked Amazon.com and the USB PLMs seem to be gone. Amazon.ca has them for $187 which is ridiculous AND they ship from the US (weird). Based on what I see on Smart Home's website, it looks like the Insteon days are coming to an end. That said, I called SH to replace a dead Insteon Hub, which they did with no problem. The SH rep said it's business as usual and they just waiting for Insteon product.
  21. @kzboray thanks for the MS SSH instructions, although I still like Putty.
  22. I have the same question about the new Polisy device. I have one but I'm not even sure what kind of storage it uses - anybody know?
  23. Thanks, interesting about the phantom node. I have one called Multilevel Switch with the repeater I installed.
  24. I added a Zooz and Aeotec Range Extender 5 as well. I did not expect to see two z-wave devices being added when I added the repeater - a multilevel switch and the repeater itself. I'm not entirely sure I understand why, do you see the same thing? Update: Reading further on in this forum thread, I gather phantom nodes can pop up when adding z-wave devices. The message is to just ignore them.
  25. Nice to have company I tried the same command and got the same result but still stuck on 5.1.1 Edit: also lost my PLM in the process. Update 1: Apparently the update process is quite slow, so leaving it overnight finally completed the update. Update 2: I took a wild *** shot in the dark and replaced the USB cable and that fixed it. I've never seen that before. PS: I did re-seat the original cable several times.
