  1. I'm not understanding the point you're making While the folder itself doesn't use or else the program itself can along with variables and anything else you want to use in a program within the conditions you set for that folder.
  2. I see it as a feature as well and utilize it often. If I need to test something, Its a simple matter of moving it out of the program, testing, and dropping it back in
  3. I actually wasn't trying to be a smartass in my post. The fact is, if you have a complaint then a suggestion would be nice from your standpoint. If udi did change it, there is no guarantee the change would make things simpler for you. By adding a suggestion, you now offer insight to what you feel could work better for yourself and others. I tend to read manuals before asking questions, so navigating through things generally isn't an issue. However I realize many don't. With that said, Criticism is 1 thing but adding a suggestion can make a world of difference when it can help you and others so that something is improved properly vs making a change that does nothing to improve user experience. For someone who complains so much about what someone says to them, you sure have no problems with what you say.
  4. Thats a good suggestion @larryllix. It's nice when people can offer ideas for improvement vs simply saying something is bad.
  5. How could they make it clearer for people? What are your suggestions? When I renewed mine the first time, I found it in the wiki without any issues along with pictures that showed where (same link from above). Outside of renaming the wiki to ISY full instruction Manual, I'm not sure how simple it could be without putting individual links for everything on the home page (which would be even worse
  6. That's actually a poor method of finding out information. In order to know that type of information, you'd need to be constantly querying devices which would put unnecessary load on your system slowing the whole thing down tremendously (depending on frequency and number of devices). This will affect your actual use of the system much greater than an unresponsive device. If your circuit breakers are popping like that, you need to fix the problem not put a bandaid on it
  7. What's the Crux of your problem? Once you hit midnight a new day begins hence the next day statement. You refuse to post your program so we can't help figure out what's going on so there's not much more we can do until you either explain the full situation of what you're trying to do and post what you have
  8. The last thing you want to do is add unnecessary complexity to a simple program because you are uncertain. What happens during certain hours is based off of what you want to happen. From time >to time will run the if and or else if that what you set If time is from 10p to 6a the next day Then turn light on Or else turn light off. That will run the then at 10p and the or else at 6a If you add extra parameters to the if, then they'll trigger during certain hrs. If time is from 10p to 6a the next day AND motion is switched on Then turn light on wait 2min Turn light off Personally, I separate my off program from my on. This allows me to potentially have other programs running without needing to disable anything
  9. I have a test and main unit in my home. Some people have multiple homes or buildings out of range, installers managing other systems
  10. Midnight starts a new day so it can't be the current day. However, it'll run until sunrise since that is what you're asking it to do
  11. I agree with the statement above. If you're certain there's nothing else calling for that program to run them I would say it's an aberration. The only thing you can do is try to recreate. Outside of that, I would assume a gremlin
  12. With a single isy, I think it could potentially be moved to the My profile link. However, since it was designed to handle multiple Isy's from 1 account, its current location is great for those managing 2 or more since it allows one to choose specifically which isy to update easily
  13. In addition, the all on would trigger all lights not just a few which are part of specific scenes and programs. If I had to hazard a guess, I would assume this being an aberration or another program (potentially no longer used) that caused this. Since it occured under specific circumstances, you could always try to recreate what happened.
  14. ???. The isy itself triggers zwave so it couldn't even be links stored within the kpl.
  15. I'd agree except he is using zwave and running that through a separate program. Insteon all on shouldn't include zwave
  16. I know it hasn't been that way for say least 10 years. Thank God they changed it
  17. I've never seen them ask for the date code when it came to warranty claims. Unless something has changed, they've generally gone by when bought and from where.
  18. You can't say that and not tell us the story. That just makes us even more curious. Lol
  19. There's only 1 version of the ISY with zwave unless he purchased a used one (i highly doubt he did). Most likely he has the newer 500 series chip which is the important part. I added @Michel Kohanimso that he can be aware of things. While some of us install zwave for consumers and could potentially help you test things, UDI is the most important player as it would be them getting the devices to work properly with the ISY on their end.
  20. Absolute certification vs non certified has nothing to do with whether or not a product will work with a particular controller or not. Certification only means that a device has passed the zwave alliance requirements (technincal and market) that it conforms to specific sets of requirements. This is why both chips are able to work with other devices while UDI is in this process (and partly why 5.0 is not official). I havent installed inovelli in any home that Ive done ISY installations either so I cant speak on any reasons why there is problems with the isy. I've tried many of different brands of stuff over the years and do notice there is a difference. For example, I no longer use fibaro as the changes they've made to newer devices have been finicky when it comes to the ISY. On the other hand, Dome works without issue (which has replaced fibaro as my go to). Ive found this to be true with other controllers as well. With smartthings, there are many "certified" devices that still needs custom device handlers. Once inovelli comes out with their fan controller, I may take a look at it to see if I can find any issues myself (and if its worth installing on jobs). I can say that I am pleased that Inovelli is at least willing to figure out something unlike fibaro who simply gave me the run around.
  21. The remote can't be updated with its status since it's battery powered and goes back to sleep. The best thing you can do is create a variable that tracks button presses and use that in your program instead. You'll want to remove the direct link from the remote to that scene otherwise the on/off command will always be sent to the device. I personally would use non toggle on but that all depends on what else you have planned for the buttons
  22. This question had been posed many times so I won't go into the particular differences between insteon and zwave. The questions I'd ask myself is when choosing anything is what am I looking for in a device. While subjective, I start off with what matters most which is presentation. Currently, when it comes to look, feel, and paddle response, I haven't found a zwave device that beats insteon in that price range on those. Next is features. The main things I look for is what does a switch give in regards to doing it's primary job. I worry first about devices turning on, off, and dimming. Currently, no zwave device offers the ease of programming and customizing of ramp rates and dim levels. Due to the nature of insteon scenes, you can have a multitude of different ramp rates and light levels for any given situation with a single device or multiple devices. Secondary features are important so at that point, it comes down to what features do you want. Are you looking for features to say you have features or something specific. If it's something specific that overrides what you can do with the primary function then that's your answer. Personally, I feel insteon is better for lighting while zwave is better for everything else. Zwaves popcorn effect vs insteon's synchronized on/off capability makes zwave worthless in the grand scheme of things. Insteon can't touch zwave on sensors and door locks. There's simply no comparison. While I use mostly insteon outlets, I do make extensive use of zwave outlets for my mesh network. In a couple of locations I have zwave occupancy switches for the same purpose. Which brings me to my last thought.... You have a controller that can take advantage of the best device for any given situation. Why limit yourself to either or?

    Polisy question

I did. It said I'm up to date.

    Polisy question

What is your firmware version? I wonder if yours have actually completed the last one which is why it's constantly saying there's an update

    Polisy question

Where are you seeing it call for updates? Generally, updates for the nodeservers show up next to the nodeserver that needs to be updated. I havent seen an update for my polisy. At least not as of last night. Do you have the box for beta updates checked?
