Zooz ZSE 700 LIght Sensor
10% isnt much of a change. For example, if the sunlight coming into your house is 110 lux- is it really dark enough to warrant turning on the lights at 99lux. With such a small window, you'll be cycling the lights off and on constantly. When it comes to luminosity, I prefer something that provides more accuracy such as the aeotec tri-sensor. Because I can use actual values in my programs, I can set the lights to turn on when the light drops below a certain threshold and off should it go above a certain threshold (if on).

Insteon acquired and servers coming back up
I hope im wrong but Im seeing the same paths taken as before. The fact that they were willing to sell the Nokia hubs to you lets me know that the Nokia line came with the sale. Them pushing the same old line vs moving forward with something new seems like they're still stuck on the past vs trying to move forward to the future. Its telling that they wanted to sell you the hubs vs the chips themselves to make your own. That lets me know, they have no interest in that line and does not want to build a partnership with anyone to expand insteon's availability. They simply saw a quick way to get rid of the product while making some of their money back. As much as a supporter as I was of insteon, I just dont see them being a viable player long term in this market. Especially with them following in the same footsteps from the past 2 ownerships.

Random on
What causes the music to play? Is it the on/off module being on or the network resource itself? What I would do is remove the network resource line from the program and manually turn on the module to see what happens. Since you didnt post your programs or give any details about your system, we are limited in assistance. I suspect your program is using the status of the module being on (which is why 2 different modules are causing the same issue). By using status, the NR would run anytime the module was on regardless of how it was turned on. Typically, the isy does not see commands originating outside of it so the status of your module would not update. This tells me that there is something within your programming causing the issue (could be an old program or device is part of another scene). Does the kpl turn on as well when it happens? The more information you provide us the better we can assist you in figuring out your issue

Did you set the parameters for the sensor as outlined in the owners manual? Once you do that and it's reporting properly, you can write programs to accomplish whatever you're trying to do.

Insteon acquired and servers coming back up
I agree. But thats why UDI has moved away from insteon. They want more control over the system and the devices that connects with it. Hopefully both will circle back around and insteon will license them to make their own PLM. If not- it comes down to them doing the same things all over again and I'd stay away.

Insteon acquired and servers coming back up
They do. Michel corrected himself and said PLM pro. Its the one that showed up on the FCC database a few years back

UD Mobile - Customer Mode
I think the problem is that it skews so far towards a programming tool that it leaves so much to be desired from a simplicity standpoint which is a turnoff for those who desire a decent looking interface to simply control their devices. I downloaded the app when it was first in beta and was put off by the design that i deleted the app. It's not my intention to offend anyone but it looks like a programmer designed it for programming not for usability. It's extremely utilitarian. Here are screen shots comparing one designed for use and UD Mobile (from Google store):

I agree 100% with this.

Hue hub not found: Error = STDERR
This post was moved from the original post which is why it's not showing up. I can't remember the original post that it was on.

Hue hub not found: Error = STDERR
So sensitive. It's simple. Instead of being selfish, start a new post instead of hijacking someone else's so that others can easily find your solution. We appreciate you posting the solution to your problem for others who may be in a similar situation. Had it stayed in your hijacked post, it probably wouldn't have been found.

Hue hub not found: Error = STDERR
You don't have to try and be smart about it. After all- You are the one coming here for help. One of the many complaints about the forum is how hard it is to find information which results in unnecessary duplicate posts. We all are just trying hard to make this a better experience for everyone- especially new members who are not aware of the best ways of finding information.

Insteon PLM alternative
He said he may. The news was that he was able to get a meeting with insteon on the olm issue. No updates yet

Hue hub not found: Error = STDERR
This has nothing to do with the original post. Please do not hijack a thread like this as this screws up the search results. This really needs to be it's own post. Thank you @Geddy

Does Polisy support adding new X10 devices?
I suspect the x10 module doesnt exist on polisy which allows you to add x10 to the device list like it does for 994. Since you ported to the Isy, the original came over with it but new add-ons aren't possible which means you'll need the code via programs

Trouble Figuring Out KPL Button/Scenes
He's using recent firmware while you're using older 4.xxx series firmware

For the ISY portal and Amazon echo, use programs or scene for groups of switches/lights?
I use a combination of both. I'll put the devices in the scene and then use a program with my assistants. This way, when I tell my assistants to turn a light on, it'll do so and if i say turn lights off, it'll turn off any light that's on

To "500" or not (Z-Wave motion)
Can't beat this part!

To "500" or not (Z-Wave motion)
Depends on device. He'd have to check with the mfg. There is no consistency to zwave behavior

To "500" or not (Z-Wave motion)
If it's hardwired then it's no longer a battery operated device.

I'm glad i could help. Polisy currently uses S0 security when adding locks. There is no issues with adding locks that I've seen to polisy so you'd be able to add to either of them. I have a contact as I'm a qolsys dealer. While I'll still use the elk for specific use cases, qolysys is about 95% of what i do now. Security doesn't necessarily need to be a major part of automation. The only thing I'd want it for is to enable/disable my alarm system when I come and go. The good thing with qolsys is that you can use your phones Bluetooth connection to disable the system when you come home (that's what I do). For those without a system, I'll use the locks with it as well so that the system can lock the doors and close the garage doors too.
