Java Problem?
Physically pick up the boxes and transport them - no there is no need. I can access them on site or remotely. I wouldn't take them out of service to move them. DC

Java Problem?
Joe, I also have two ISY's at two different locations. I can manage them both from either location and I also have the ISY's set to the same IP addresses. I do this so I only need to remember 1 IP address. In the ISY Finder I have one local address and one DDNS address. This enables me to connect to either ISY by selecting either the local IP address or the DDNS address. Dennis

Notifications for washer/dryer?
In the past I have used a Dwyer current switch to send the signal to An Insteon device. The current switch was fairly inexpensive and I haven't had any problems with it. It is available has a split device, which means it opens to wrap around your power wiring. Therefore, you don't need to open the appliance. You will need a box to mount it in however. I use this to monitor a 3/4 hp motor for a dock de icing system. Dennis

Run a program only when device changes from a specific value
I would suggest having the Elk close a phantom relay and have the ISY trigger off of the relay closing/opening. This would also require the Elk module, but I think it will trigger quicker.

Elk Module issue...
Glad you got it corrected.

Elk Module issue...
That is what I suspected. You will need to establish a connection and then everything will restore. Has anything changed on the configuration page of the ISY? Make sure all of the information is correct and make note of the port number. You will then need to connect with your ELk via the software and verify the settings there. Dennid

Elk Module issue...
Can the ISY talk to your Elk or is it possible they have lost their connection? Does the ISY show your Elk zones correctly? Dennis

MS Surface anyone
I use a Surface 3 to access the ISYat a vacation home. I do all upgrades and programming from it. The only draw back is the font size is very small with the normal settings. Dennis

Water Pump Email Alerts
But you can get a 220 volt plug. Yes, the original post indicated 110 volts, but then the question came up about the amperage, indicating the pump is dual voltage. I am suggesting the actual voltage the pump is running on be verified. Dennis

Water Pump Email Alerts
Sorry for the spelling error, should have been Xathros.

Water Pump Email Alerts
Cathryn is correct about the amp draw. First you need to determine what voltage the pump is configured for. Saying it is plugged in to an outlet doesn't mean it is a 110 volt outlet.

Proper insteon device to control On/Off of shop vac and air compressor?
I agree, there are several device like this available. They are simple and safer for a situation like this. Especially when programming is not required.

If you are looking to sense current you can also use a current sensor. Dwyer makes some inexpensive ones. This opens up more Insteon choices for you. However, this will only provide you with on/ off notification, not control.

Proper insteon device to control On/Off of shop vac and air compressor?
The Elk relay would work, but I think it is overkill. I would probably use a 20 amp power relay with a low voltage coil for each (current of each device needs to be verified before a final determination is made). They can be found for a lot less $. I think I would then either use a standard Insteon on/off switch or an IO Linc for control. This is just my opinion. Dennis

Proper insteon device to control On/Off of shop vac and air compressor?
I would not use any device that supports dimming Or "brightening" for a motor load. Dennis

Proper insteon device to control On/Off of shop vac and air compressor?
If you insist on connecting the dust collector to Insteon instead of one of the remote control devices designed for this application, I would suggest you use a power relay and an Insteon device to control activating the relay. Dennis

Cannot communicate with switches and plug
I would suggest unplugging everything you added and see if the problem is still present. Dennis

Cannot communicate with switches and plug
Did you plug anything in to the added outlets?

Stu, Here is what works for me. Thermostat Mode is: ${sys.node.ZW011_1.CLIMD} Heat/Cool state: ${sys.node.ZW011_1.CLIHCS} Heat setpoint: ${sys.node.ZW011_1.CLISPH} Cooling setpoint: ${sys.node.ZW011_1.CLISPC} Interior Temp: ${sys.node.ZW011_1.ST} Dennis

Stu, They work fine with my Honeywell Zwave thermostat. I have the space temperature along with mode sent to me twice a day. Dennis

Dryer Program using contact sensor
Have you thought about using a current sensor connected to an IO Linc? This would enable you to trigger a text when the current draw stops after a specified time period. Dennis

Can't Change Location via "Locate Me" (Invalid Longitude)
I haven't had any trouble keeping the clock time in sync. Sorry I can't offer any additional help. Dennis

Can't Change Location via "Locate Me" (Invalid Longitude)
Not sure if this is just a typo, but you have a comma after pool instead of a period. The correct server name should be "pool.ntp.org". Regards, Dennis

Multiple KPLs control 1 Scene?
Steve, I'm a little confused, the last post in your link of webinars is June 2014. Are those dates all in the past or are they for this year?
