  1. Waterflow is the reason I stay away from pex. Each fitting or elbow inserts inside the tube which is smaller in diameter then the tube which reduces Waterflow. Where as copper is consistent. In my house I have 1/2 inch copper so if I went with 3/4 pex then that would be better. Just my opinion.
  2. Does the water shutoff wire to one of the zones on the ELK?
  3. Was a good deal thanks for mentioning it
  4. how do you connect to the elk? Wire it straight to the panel and no need for the iolinc? Can the insteon water sensor trigger the elk to turn off the water?
  5. I'm curious about this comment made by one of the reviewers. "1) You need to carefully read the Note on the bottom of the Detail Page about a Dual Band device because a Range Extender #2992-222 or other RF device is needed in addition to the I/O Link and Power Supply."
  6. That's a good price. Id also like to hear from people who own this
  7. Yes but after the 2 years is it $45 every 2 years after that or $22.50 a year?
  8. So can anyone confirm this?
  9. 1.the plm is 2413s v2.0 1440 The wall outlet isRev.7.3 1616 2. The outlet is not part of the all on all off and wasn't used during the door open event 3. I don't believe the cause of the door opening by itself was an all on all off I think it was a program or scene problem. I think one of you recommended not having the door sensor and the relay in the same scene which mine was at the time. I removed it since. 4. No idea what you mean 5. not sure of this either 6. I only had this happen once and since I made these changes I am comfortable with it and didn't intend or changing the setup Thanks
  10. Cant give you the revision number (purchased about 2 months ago) as it is a pain in the *** to remove and replace the large plate but the part number is 2663-222. Nothing to validate it except common sense I guess. I do not have to worry as much about a program problem or all on event as in order to open the door it requires 2 stages 1 to power on the plug then 2 to activate the iolinc. if the isy does that by itself then there is something seriously wrong. Also if someone had my garage door opener code, it would be useless to them as the power to the opener is normally off. I'm sure some can shoot holes in this idea or find flaws but I'm more than happy with it. Just thought I would share.
  11. I came up with a secure method of using the insteon garage door opener so I will never have to worry about this happening again. I installed a insteon wall plug and plugged the opener into that that is normally off. When I enter the garage the power to the opener turns on for 15 min then shuts off again. When I drive home and enter my geofence while connected to bluetooth, the power to the opener turns on. Been working great and very secure.
  12. Nothing planned just sounds like a cool idea
  13. That sounds awsome. Do you remember the title of your original post for instructions?
  14. Never knew you could. Do you mean using the garage door opener to activate insteon devices without open8ng the door?
  15. We're you referring to the Elk fob or the mini remote
  16. Seems like that's my only option and when I get the ELK I will get the keyfob
  17. Who carries keys anymore? Just the vast population. You may use remote locks or push start cars but most people do have keys. At any rate I, if the only man on the planet that still uses key, would like a key fob so that's why I ask. If you don't want or need one then that's OK.
  18. Yes I do not have elk. Was thinking about getting it. I was hoping for it to work without elk or a separate keyfob but at least if it works with elk then I'll be happy when I get it. Thanks for the replies
  19. I'd hate to compare kefob size but you have a big keyfob. Mine is smaller. Regardless of size it is not intended as a keyfob, not rugged or meant for outdoor. Show me a pic of how you are can attach the mini remote to your Keychain.
  20. I knew someone would say that. A keyfob is a remote that fits on your Keychain. Have you seen the size of the mini remote? It's almost twice the size of a typical keyfob, it's not intended for the outdoors, it is not rugged enough to use on a Keychain and for that matter there is no Keychain for it. That's why I believe they need to make one. At least I for one would love to have it.
  21. I understand when you buy the portal it includes a 2 year subscription for $45. What is the yearly fee after that?
  22. Why on earth is there no keyfob for insteon. I would imagine most people would buy one if available. Can the Elk kefob fork to turn lights on and off or run programs? I don't have Elk yet but I imagine it is required for the keyfob to work. Thanks
  23. I unplugged the ISY and plugged it back in and now I can access the ISY. But now I just need to figure out the hub. Says subnet doesn't match, dbcli
  24. I went from a Dlink 655 to an asus RT-AC68u, now I cant access my isy and I cant access my insteon camera on the hub. Is there a setting on the router I need to change?
