Well that does make sense but cant Universal Devices make it so the ISY logs it if a heartbeat has been received, regardless of a change of state? Thanks
-
Well hopefully they fix this in a future update. Thanks

I get regular heartbeats from all my sensors, once every 24 hours but it does not always show up in the log. Any idea why? Thanks

What programs do you use for monitoring the battery on the door sensors? Thanks
-
I will try the Elk idea. Thanks

As I said above, it is a Watchnet system and the model is an ENS. It does have the alarm connections. I think your idea of an I/O linc, might be the answer. Yes my system can pick areas of motion but I don't want false alarms. I only want it to snap when the lid opens. Thanks
-
I also have ELK so maybe it can be done that way?
-
Thanks for the replies. I do have the option to email a snapshot when motion is detected. The problem is the motion on the cameras, get detected very often, even with light movement. I hooked up an insteon door switch to my mailbox and want to get a snapshot of my mailbox, whenever the mailbox is opened.

Mine is a dedicated NVR. It is a Watchnet ENS

Can the NVR of a camera system, be used in some way with the ISY? A friend suggested having the camera take a snapshot when an insteon device was activated like a door opening. Thanks

Great, I will give it a try. Thanks

Is there a way to create a list on excel or text document, an expanded list of all of your programs and devices? Thanks

Thanks guys

I believe when I bought the network module in the past, it came with 2 years of portal but a friend wants to get it and I wanted to make sure that it is still the same. Thanks

Yes I'm lazy, I don't want to have to push the button twice like a chump! The options for the remote button is LED, Beep, 4-secen, 8 scene toggle(checked) and 8-scene non- toggle and it does show a current status but I cant change it
-
As my remote works now is I push the kitchen button (1-A) and the light on the remote is green and turns on the kitchen light. Push again and the light turns red and the kitchen lights go out. Problem is if the status on the remote is "off" and I turn my kitchen light on by the light switch, the next time I go to turn the lights off with the remote, I have to push the button twice. I was wondering if there was a way to write a program that would be like this. If Status of kitchen light is on Then Set status of remote 1-A to on I don't see the option to set a status in the then section. Anyone have an idea how to make this work? Thanks

I thought it would be cool to click the "Watch a movie" program on the Harmony and have the lights dim. I guess Ill just have to go through the anguish of having to push the insteon remote button that sits right next to me.
-
Once again Jimbo, your knowledge is way beyond what I can comprehend. I don't even know anything about polyglot. Looks like I might just stick to my insteon remote to turn off the lights. Thanks for the help Thanks, so the ISY would need to be next to my TV then right?

Where can I get it and how much is it? Is it software or hardware addon? Thanks
-
I just bought this remote and see that it can control the hub but don't know about the ISY. I don't have the ISY with IR, is there any way to make this work, maybe by buying an addon device? Thanks
-
I think you guys have the right answer I will try control instead of status. Thanks

I want to open my bedroom door between 1am and 6am and when it is open the bathroom lights turn on at 1% I currently have a program running but being that the bedroom door is normally open during the day, when 1am hits and the door is still open, the lights come on in the bathroom. Bedroom door open night bathroom light on If Status 'Bedroom Door-Opened' is On And From 1:00:00AM To 6:00:00AM (same day) Then Set 'Bathroom Light' 1% Else - No Actions - (To add one, press 'Action')

Perfect. Thanks Gary

I want to close my bedroom door and have the bedroom lights to ramp down for 21 seconds. I know how to adjust the scene to change the ramp speed when the switch is pressed and I know how the dim feature works in the programs but the dim is too quick. I just want to close my bedroom door (which has a door sensor) and have the lights slowly dim without hitting the light switch
