  1. Smarthome has a new water detector sensor that can be used as an accessory with the I/OLinc. I have not seen it in a kit, just as an added purchased item. http://www.smarthome.com/71940/Minotaur ... sor/p.aspx They also have a Freezer Failure, Refrigerator Failure and Freeze Detector modules from the same manufacturer.
  2. Are any of the LEDs, other than the Green PWR LED, flashing or on steady? Can you get into the Administrative Screen? If so. Tools Diagnostics PLM Info/Status See what it indicates.
  3. The 2413S Dual band PLM, is 1023 links. The later revision 2412S PLM was 2016 links, but >800 seemed to be a problem for many. Original 2412S PLM was 417 links. Tools Diagnostics Show PLM Table When the table is read. There is a count button on the test screen. Note: It seems that any X10 or Insteon traffic on the power line during the test. Messes the count up.
  4. MEM and ERR flashing together is can't communicate with the router or computer if directly connected. http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... Y.27s_LEDs A 512MB SD card maybe standard. I believe the latest firmware allows larger ones. Diagnostics on mine shows an even smaller one. Total 125 MB Reserved 31 MB Bad 0 B Free 86 MB
  5. Tools Diagnostics Show PLM Info/Status It will give you the PLMs six digit ID, firmware version and connected. If you decide to get a 2413S it does not supply power to the ISY99i like the 2412S models do. Smarthome has a power supply option to add one. They also sell a 2412SR Refurbished but I personally would go for the 2413S with added supply. Mine seems faster than when I used a 2412S.
  6. I had two power failures yesterday. That where long enough for my ISY99i to restart. Both times the error log showed a -5 Start entry. I forced a reboot this morning in Configuration Tab and it then also showed a -5 Start when the reboot was done.
  7. Thanks for the added information. I am thinking my EBay search didn't find it as it was closed. Yes the photos and description are of an ISY99i. I am also curious as to why it would be called an ISY26 in your routers table. Glad to hear the 2412S was also in the package deal. You may want to look at the links Rand and I gave you. For more information. If you have a firewall. You may have to tell it your ISY99is address is trusted. I know my Zone Alarm must have its address added to the Trusted Zone.
  8. Your router indicates ISY26-Home-Auto? Mine says ISY99-Home-Auto. You may want to verify the model you purchased. I just looked on EBay and only found ISY26s. Telnet can be disabled. Maybe the former owner turned it off. You may find information in the UDI wiki or the Full Users Manual http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... =Main_Page http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/i ... rguide.pdf I believe a Factory Reset would clear everything out and turn telnet back on. Though you may want to wait for feedback from others to confirm this before you tried it. Did you get a 2412S or 2413S for the PLM that goes with the ISY26 or ISY99i?

MorningLinc was added with the beta 2.8.2 release. http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=5037
  10. Just curious if you got the RS485 option? I finally found the pin outs for it and I like the fact you can get the option and RS232 and power are still on the normally used pins.
  11. LeeG; There are some threads here on the >800 links in a 2412S missing things. Even though it can have >2000 links in it.
  12. The new V2 revision is completely different than the 1.? units. Mine are 1.0 and 1.6. There are internal photos in the FCC database of the V2 units. After taking the V1.0 apart. Yes power supply is different. Old version power transformer. New version power line driven switching supply.
  13. Computer power supplies are known problem makers. You may want to use a FilterLinc on the PCs power as a start. I have one on my APC BX1000 UPS and the PLM is in the pass through outlet of the FilterLinc. Checking the Access Points with their built in test function may also yield some added information.
  14. You may have signal communications problems with the slow writing process. Have you tried a scene test in diagnostics? What version of firmware is in your PLM? Tools Diagnostics PLM Info/Status should give you the firmware revision.
  15. On the UDI sales page there are upgrade options from an ISY26 to all the model ISY99i's. The ISY26 did not get power from the PLM and was always supplied with the external wall wart. In fact I have my ISY26's wall wart powering my ISY99i with 2413S Dual Band PLM.
  16. If you have not found the full users manual here is the link. http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?tit ... elay_Modes
  17. Yes there doesn't seem to be much demand for the Insteon Modem Chip.
  18. Some of the newer revision devices maybe redesigned with possible new quirks. My old rev 1.0 Access Points and older PLMs use a power transformer in the power supply. The new 2413S PLM and V2.0 Access Points now use a power line derived switching power supply. Better or worse. Time will tell. I have old revision 1.3 ApplianceLincs running for years no problems. Well after the recall for smoking modules. I actually had one go and smoke when turned off. Yes the SwitchLinc tact switches getting intermittent was covered very well by Smarthome. So they do stand behind their products. Even if a gentle prod is needed every once and awhile.
  19. When I tried to use IE to access the administrative console; after the upgrade. A Java Sign in page opened up. Asking for the user name and password. This time is used the remember password box and all is better. Thanks Rand.
  20. Just looked at the Smarthome Web Site. The 11/30/10 date may have been an error. It now says 08/20/10 for expected stock.

After you formatted the SD card. You did reinstall the firmware and restore it from the last backup or couldn't you get that far? In Tools; Diagnostics; Show PLM Info/Status does it show connected and the PLMs firmware version?
  22. Yes they have changed their minds a few times. There is also a thread here basically saying the same thing. http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... sc&start=0 I can verify what Michel said. The 2412S is now listed in the Discontinued Equipment Section where you can get the manual for it and the 2413S is the recommended replacement. I guess at least for now the 2412SR maybe available.
  23. With that long of a lead time. Hopefully someone at Smarthome may make a ISY99i and 2412SR package available. I didn't see them offering the ISY99i line separately any more. Just in the 2413S packages.
  24. Lets hope it is a mistake. I looked on the Smarthome site and any version ISY kit and the 2413S alone are all listed with the 11/30/10 expected ship date. I wounder if any one has tried the Simplehomenet EZIComm 2412S replacement?
  25. My 2413S works fine for me also. I did notice maybe a slightly faster response to a system wide query with it over a 2412S. The 2413S has a faster link database memory in it but is smaller size than the 2412S has. Though unless you had a real large system. It would not matter too much Wow 11/30/10.
