  1. This morning my error log showed some network lost messages. That I have never seen before. Thu 2010/11/18 07:07:22 PM System -5 Start Thu 2010/11/18 08:56:23 PM System -100 No network connection Thu 2010/11/18 10:35:19 PM System -100 No network connection Fri 2010/11/19 02:28:43 AM System -100 No network connection
  2. Installed with out a hitch. My first impression was a surprise. My Lighting now shows all 6 buttons on a RemoteLinc and they show an On or Off as the particular button is actuated on the RemoteLinc. The 99i Administrative Console on the Desktop also has a nice new look.
  3. Well I was also use to the label being on the rear of the module or face plate of switches. Took me awhile to find it in my RemoLincs also.
  4. You will need a com port if you use the 2413S. Do you by chance have a USB to serial adapter to try?
  5. Thank you for passing on the information on the cause. I have seen the TED5000 reported to kill X10 and possibly Insteon power line signals. If memory serves me it transmits at a one second interval over the power lines. I just looked at the TED5000 Troubleshooting Guide. It says its power line signal frequency is 132KHz. Gee Insteon is 131.65KHz.
  6. You actually got a RemoteLinc to respond and you didn't use the Bright Dim button sequence to turn it on? I am using 2.8.4 and in Link Management when I choose add a RemoteLinc it does give the put the Remotelinc in the linking mode using the Bright and Dim Buttons message box.
  7. Yes and if I got my logic backwards. You could use common and normally open and tape the normally closed lead.
  8. If I read the manuals correctly. It normally is used to detect when a liquid level fall below its mounting point. In your case it would be reversed. So in theory the Normally Closed contacts would be open until the level was again high enough to cover the sensor probes. You could wire the common and normally closed contacts to the I/OLinc's sensor input and have it send a change of state when the detector detects water. You could also use a second float switch mounted higher than the one on the pump. Wired to an I/OLinc. There maybe others here that have used other water detectors and may have added information for you.

SDM3 can use a serial port. I used it with my 2414S PLCs all the time. You did have to tell it to use a com port the first time you used it or if you changed back and forth between USB and Serial versions. Ken Millers SetSHPort could also read the registry to find port in use and change it. As a test. I just used a 2414S with the Simplehomenet Utilities and it accessed an EZX10RF with no problems. I did have to make sure the SDM3-308 was set to use Com1 in my case.
  10. I am glad you got it working.
  11. We all do it from time to time. I used the replace a module function and replaced the wrong module. In my attempt to fix it. I made it much worse.
  12. I use ZonaAlarm and until I added my ISY99i's address to the Trusted Zone. It would not work correctly. See if your Firewall has a place to add the ISY99i to an allowed address. What Firewall are you using? We may know exactly what to do to make it work.
  13. Mine is also a spinning dial type. With the analog pointers. Though it has a RF board in it so the meter can be read electronically as the power company truck Parks in my driveway.
  14. Try the X10 Transceiver you are using with the Palm Pad in the same outlet as the PLM is in. If you are not using the exact circuit as the PLM is in. Your tests may not be 100% accurate. Are you sure nothing has changed? Like someone moved a cell phone charger etc.
  15. It doesn't do X10 at all or are there some X10 functions that don't work? I send an X10 A4 On every morning to a chime module and my X10 power line messages show up in the log also. Using 2.8.4
  16. Not sure if the TimerLinc can have its brightness set remotely. The on line manual only points out how to do it with the buttons. http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?title=2484D_Manual
  17. You may also want to look at the connector on the PLM and make sure the pins are not bent up too high.
  18. I would also like to say. On the rare chance a beta release had a problem. It is very rapidly addressed.
  19. The Beta ones have to be done manually. You download the file and use the Manual Update Tab. When an official version is released. You will get a message it is available. Been awhile so it just may happen and I don't remember.
  20. OK will do on the latest revision.
  21. I recently saw a error in my Error Log that I have not seen before. /LOG/A.LOG Anything I should be concerned about? Tue 2010/10/12 06:55:53 AM System -5 Start Tue 2010/10/12 06:55:58 AM System -110022 /LOG/A.LOG Tue 2010/10/12 06:55:58 AM System -100002 /LOG/A.LOG Tue 2010/10/12 11:25:58 AM System -140005 CLI-WBug Tue 2010/10/12 03:20:11 PM System -110022 /LOG/A.LOG Tue 2010/10/12 03:20:11 PM System -100002 /LOG/A.LOG Tue 2010/10/12 06:17:32 PM System -110022 /LOG/A.LOG Tue 2010/10/12 06:17:32 PM System -100002 /LOG/A.LOG Wed 2010/10/13 03:35:49 AM System -140002 CLI-WBug Wed 2010/10/13 11:55:50 AM System -140005 CLI-WBug Wed 2010/10/13 07:55:45 PM System -140008 CLI-WBug:503 Thu 2010/10/14 12:55:47 AM System -140002 CLI-WBug The weather bug ones I know are occasional missed updates and I don't worry about them.
  22. An in line filter would probably work. If it is not a generic type but one for X10 or Insteon. I have not seen any one specific to Insteon. If the total load is five or less amps. The Leviton has been used by many here and in the X10 forums. An on line search may find dealers with varied prices for the Leviton. http://www.smarthome.com/4835/Leviton-6 ... ock/p.aspx Since the setup was working for awhile. Maybe new CFLs will correct the problem. We did see a message here on CFLs getting noisier with age.
  23. In some installations. A black wire may not be a line wire and checking the 120 volts would verify it was correct. CFLs can make power line noise. Do you have any filters on the TV and Cable box or CFLs? It is possible the noise level or signal absorption from all that electronics. Makes communications marginal to the new SwitchLinc. To the point the CFLs being On takes it over the threshold of missed communications.
  24. Jumper 5 installed allows you to do remote programming with software. The updated users manual has details in it.
  25. For some reason today. It again asked me to accept the end users agreement. It never asked when I updated from 2.8.2 and it was running with no questions from day one of the update.
