I believe 2.7.7 fixed the message, but I am waiting for the next beta as 2.7.7 was an alpha. Though quite stable from what I have read here.
-
I see the extra record in my tests also. I am using 2.7.6. I believe it is a false label and fixed in a later revision. As comparing my PLM links to my device links. They are identical.
-
Backup ISY should write a backup .zip file. I believe it is on the desktop by default, but you can chose another location. Restore ISY should ask you for a file name of the backup you want to use.
-
Did you get a new PLM or are you trying to use the Special HL2 PLM?
-
The PLM has no program storage in it. Just the Link Database. ISY has to be running.

I have a very small system. Eight ApplianceLincs, two SwitchLinc Relays and two RemoteLincs. Very few scenes and I believe my count is 74. From what you described. 406 maybe quite normal.
-
Yes do it through the ISY99i. It knows the RemoteLincs needs and will pause and ask you to put it in the linking mode. Holding both the Bright and Dim buttons till the LED starts flashing.

http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?title=2440_Manual http://wiki.smarthome.com/index.php?tit ... nc_Buttons The All On and All Off buttons turn on and off every device linked to any of the individual buttons and don't get programed at all. The online manual gives lots of details the quick quide doesn't.

The documentation is wrong for the later 2412S PLM Modules. The Link database is 2016. Been that way for awhile but I don't remember the exact hardware rev where it changed. Yes the 2413S Dual Band is 1023 but it also does not supply power through the interface cable and an external supply is needed on the ISY99i when a 2413S is used. http://www.smarthome.com/2412S/PowerLin ... ial/p.aspx Chart near bottom 2016 is the amount.
-
OK. Will wait to see what the results are.
-
Are you using any X10 devices? If not there should be no X10 addresses programed into the modules. We have seen new modules sometimes being shipped with Insteon and X10 factory test addresses in them that where not factory reset before shipping.

PC Power Supplies are notorious signal suckers. Is there an X10 filter on the PCs AC? I have a 10 Amp FilterLinc on my APC BX1000 UPS with my PLM in the unfiltered pass through outlet. I also now have a JV Engineering XTBM that is a great X10 signal tester as the ESM1 and Smarthome TesterLinc are now discontinued. If you have a repeater it even senses it and sends a test X10 signal and reads back the returned levels. One thing it also found. Insteon devices are two way and their transmitter circuit can absorb X10 and Insteon signals. Insteon gets resent. X10 does not. In one test I had 7.71 volts on an outlet with all five of my Insteon ApplianceLincs out of the circuit. With all five in their normal positions the voltage was 2.85 volts. So as many have found. As you add Insteon devices. Insteon gets better and X10 gets worse. I had an ACT CR134 but now have a JV Engineering XTB-IIR. It blasts up to a 20 volt PP X10 signal back on the power lines.

OH my error. I thought somewhere in the thread the PLM was replaced.
-
When you replace the PLM you should pick Restore Modem (PLM) from the files menu. That changes all the links with the old PLMs ID in them to the replacement PLMs ID.
-
I just read a post in the Smarthome Forums. Someone with a T1800 and no optional humidity sensor is also getting random humidity reports with the V2 Thermostat Adapter.
-
The way I read the users installation sheet. It does sound like it is reversed. Try using the Black and Red wires. That will give you the Sensor Off at closed and On at open. I don't know if the wiring is called out wrong or the description of LED state is written wrong. I know I have seen errors in the proximity switch kit also. In that kit if you wire it by the manual it is stuck on. I pointed out the errors on their forums, but I believe the manual for it never got corrected. Since the Black on the switch is the common. I would use it on the I/OLincs Ground connector and the Red or Green [depends on NC or NO desires] to the sense terminal. Though black on sense is OK, it is just my electronic technician background showing through.

If the log doesn't show lots of Insteon Traffic and the LEDs are flashing. You may have power line noise. Noise can cause the LEDs to flash on and off. I had a TV that started making power line noise and my LEDs where flickering randomly.

The 2412S PLM is no longer showing on the sales pages of Smarthomes web site. If you use the search function for 2412S. You are routed to the Discontinued Products Page and the recommended replacement is the 2413S Dual Mesh PLM. If you go to one of the other PLM models sales pages. There is still a working link to the 2412S PLM and it still shows "In Stock". Who knows how long that will last. I ordered an extra 2412S to be safe. While still in stock. Looks like the 2413S maybe closer than we think for the ISY99i. Hope someone remembers it will then need a external power supply as the 2413S does not supply power and has a smaller link database. For now. The Smarthome ISY99i kits with PLM. Are still showing the 2412S as part of the kits.

I have also seen dimming type modules. Do strange things with inductive loads. ApplianceLinc sounds better to me.
-
I am running 2.7.6 and from time to time I experience a power dip or loss. Mine seems to restart fine and it queries the modules on start. What revision firmware in the PLM? Mine is 7A. Thread where a battery backup was used the keep the ISY99i going. http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... ght=xp2000

Also Access Points don't link to each other. The LED tests are for communication and phase placement tests.
-
Link to the information. Yes it is in the Java Applet in the Control Panel. http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... Java_Cache

Which model Venstar did you get in the kit?
-
Do you know what revision software you are using with your ISY? In the Help Tab About sections. Will give the firmware version. This may help if this was corrected in one of the Beta versions, many of us use.
