I have since included this set up in our master bathroom but included extra programs to offer 4 differet On levels depending on the time of day or night. I also created some programs which when the light is turned on manually during the day will reset the On level so that any motion will turn the lights on, until 10 minutes after the last motion detection then resets the On level to the previous state. It has been working very well so far (about 3 months). In fact I have added similar programs to our entry hall light and my work room light. I dont see why not. The two halves of the case have a seal and the battery door is sealed as well. I used 1 outside for about 6 months without any problems. Tim

Hi oktane, That is correct. If you select the MS to adjust, your only options are 0% and 100%. The adjust scene part of the program should look like: In Scene 'MS-Sensor' Set "Dimmer' 55% (On Level) ( "MS-Sensor" and "Dimmer" would be replaced with whatever name you have given them, and the On Level is replaced with your desired level). Also it is important when selecting the ms that you scroll up to the devices and select the ms, not select the scene the ms is in. Hope that helps. If not maybe you could post your program and some of your specifics. Tim

Hi Michel, Right click on Low Batt node and select query? Doesn't do anything. That is what I figured, again right click on "1" and select query and it doesn't do anything. Suggestions? Should I just wait for the final beta version?
-
I have been unable to clear the "low batt" indicator from a motion sensor on the admin console by doing a query on the node. I have tried with the ms in linking mode and not in linking mode. Nothing happens when I press the query button, no progress bar or anything. Nothing on the event viewer, even at level 3. Speaking of query, I noticed also that when query is pressed for the ezflora nothing happens either. All of the other devices are able to be queried. Am running 2.7.7 alpha. Thanks, Tim

How about a relay and I/O Linc? Relay coil wired to load side of GFI. Relay contacts connected to I/O Linc sensor input. When the relay de-energizes the I/O linc sends an Off or On depending on how you want it to report the GFI trip. And, if you want to get a little MacGyver-ish - wire a solendoid actuator to the I/O Linc output. Write a program where if the GFI trips the I/O Linc energizes the solenoid which presses the reset switch on the GFI!!!! (just kidding). Tim

Hello Michel, Here is the link to the icon appliancelinc. http://www.smarthome.com/2856S3B/ICON-Relay-INSTEON-Appliance-Module-3-Pin/p.aspx

Confirming, I have the same problem with the icon appliancelincs installed in the last week with 2.7.7alpha when installed with "start Linking." If installed with "new insteon device" then they came up as v.00 Icon appliancelincs installed on 2.7.6 registered properly using "start linking." Tim

Is the 1st.Bath1.Light.Shower controlled by a switchlinc dimmer and the 1st.Bath1.Fan controlled by a switchlinc relay, both directly? Are you only concerned with running the program to turn the light and fan off when the respective switch is locally turned on?

I believe it restarts the program because the action of the second program is causing a change in the status which the first program detects and it restarts. In other words everytime there is a status change the first program re-evaluates and will call the second program to restart. Tim

Hello Michel and mvprj84, If I am following this post correctly I had the same problem with my garage door / IO Linc setup. The v.36 I/O Linc is supposed to retain the “Trigger Off†check box memory after a power interruption, previous versions didn’t. But when I linked it to the ISY and set up the links to some KPL buttons I found the I/O Linc wouldn’t retain memory. However Steve Lee from SH informed me that you have to manually link the sensor to your responder/s before linking to the ISY, then you can link the I/O to the ISY. After following his advice the trigger off box stays checked after power interruptions. Tim

Perfect. Got it working. Thanks again for the links! Tim

I have been trying to use wol in the network tab and so far have been unsuccessful. I have followed the wiki instruction including the dashes between bite sets for the mac address of each computer. I logged onto my router and copied the mac address and ip address for each computer. I have set up the network card configuration for wol and magic packet. When the computers are off the 100mb led is lit on each computer indicating the lan card is powered up. When I press test in the network tab the router action leds flash momentarily but none of the computers turn on. Any help would be greatly appreciated? Thanks, Tim

Well, based on this thread http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?p=25532#25532 I for one am going to hold off on the new dual band products until they have a good track record. Tim

Hi Rich, One thing you could try is to just disconnect the wires to the triggerlinc and short the terminals (or leave them disconnected depending on whether the contact type is N.O. or N.C.) for a day to see if the status problems continue. Also, have you checked the log to see if the triggerlinc shows up at around the time the first email is sent? Tim

Hello Rich, Was this problem resolved, and if so what was found. Thanks in advance, Tim

Very good. Thank you riebel. I am looking forward to the release of 2.7.7. I have a few programs which will not work correctly until selection of percent on levels is available. I wonder if just setting the on selection instead will work? I will have to try it. Thanks again, Tim

Hi Michel, I just replaced a Icon 6 button kpl with an 8 button kpl (v.36) and have the same problem. But the v.33 6 button kpl's (which I recently converted to 8 button) didn’t exhibit this problem. I am on version 2.7.6 now and I believe I was on version 2.7.6 at the time of conversion. Is this a problem with v.36? Will we have to uninstall/reinstall the kpl after installing 2.7.7? Thanks, Tim

I just checked and I have 2 programs set to run at startup, and they are still set to run and I rebooted sometime last week. So it appears mine is retaining the run at reboot. I also am on 2.7.6 Tim

I just checked mine with the ISY99i and 2 seconds is the lowest latch time available.

FWIW I have been fortunate and have had no issues with the date/time change. I am on pool.ntp.org for time updates. I did change the sync. to every hour a while back. I did loose network connection this morning at 1:09:53 AM thru no fault of the ISY but up to that time no issues. My logs go back to 9/6/09. Product: ISY 99i (1020) Insteon_UD99 v2.7.6 Open Auto-DR (21010) Weather Infromation (21020) Internet Access: Disabled Tim

Has anyone else noticed the rapid blinking of the LED on the 2420M motion sensor after detection. I know it means it has not received acknowledgment from a linked device. However my MS will randomly flash after detection. Whether it flashes or not the scene or linked device or program linked to it will always turn on or run. And it doesn’t happen all the time, just sometimes. All of my MS’s will randomly flash after detection, there doesn’t seem to be any rhyme or reason to the occurrence I was just wondering if anyone else has noticed it in their systems. All my MS’s are v1.1 Thanks, Tim

If I remember correctly you can hold down "Shift" and left click all of the devices you want, then drag them into the scene. Tim

Sorry to jump in but since it would take another event to trigger a re-evaluation of the if statement, would adding an "run if (the name of this program)" placed at the end of the program work to re-run the program if the "if" statement was still true? Or how about creating another program to send an email to confirm the garage door closed? Tim

Hi JacquesB, I am sorry, I must be missing something here. I created an empty program and saved it. When I check on its status it shows as false. So in your example program the main program would never run, until the flag is set true. Is there another program not shown that is used to initially turn the flag true?
