Type it as http://IP.ADDR.FOR.ISY/desc then hit save.

If you're on a mac are you using the ISY Launcher, or are you using admin.jnlp?

I've tried clicking on both to get it running. Neither let me get to the SAVE part. When I hit ENTER it waits a few seconds and then says NOT FOUND.

Sounds like the perfect time for a new Polisy

That is on my list for this summer as well. But the website says all sold out.

And if its not the ISY but the PLM I'm screwed either way.

I'm confused, Both what?

Sorry. You asked if I was using the ISY Launcher or the admin.jnlp

I've clicked on both to get to the Console and I get the same result. Although my .jnlp is named icy.jnlp

I've just checked the Orbi now and the ISY has disappeared again.

Last time this happened I unplugged the ISY and plugged it back in. IT then popped up but it seems to not want to stay

Plugged it back in and now I have this.

Encouraging at least.

Should I restore ISY from a backup (one that was made before all this goings on)

good, now reload the firmware that your backup was created with, Help > Manually Upgrade ISY,   then check Help > About and make sure the firmware and UI versions are the same.  THEN reload your backup.

If you have problems with any step above, stop and tell me what's happening before you continue.

Yes. The ZIP File is called

insteon_4.9.0.zip

I had to download it from the Forum

Ok, did you format the new memory card after it was installed, or did you skip that step because the wiki say's it doesn't need to be formatted if it's new?   Also what memory card is it... brand and size and does it have an A1 rating?

I wasn't able to format it as I cant log in to the ISY to format.

I believe its a Sandisk and I'm not sure what rating it is sorry.

I cant see the ISY again. I'll have to unplug and plug it back in

I'm pretty sure that the first error dialog you posted above means that there's a problem with your memory card.  You're trying to upload the zip file and it's being written to the card wrong.  Either the card isn't inserted full, or it needs formatting, or it's a bad card.

I apologize for the radio silence. We had a fast storm rip through our area and lost power for 8 hours.

my issue seems to be that I can’t format the card. I’ll try again tomorrow and see. Is the only way to format it by telnet?

if there’s another better way I’m open to that.

I know this isn't very helpful but some years back I had to resort to Telnet to deal with a corrupted SD card and it worked fine for me.  You do need to know the local ip address of the ISY and be on the same network.

What issue are you having with telnet?

I cant seem to always see the IP of the ISY

Right now the Launcher cant see any ISY and the Orbi doesn't list it.

If I unplug and plug it back in it sometimes appears.

I've just tried unplugging it and plugging it back in a few times and the ISY isnt coming online as far as an IP address goes.

@andrew77I think you need to continue working with support on this.  Hopefully @Michel Kohanim has your ticket.

Thank you for helping. Working on the situation is always better than sitting around with no direction.
I’m sure this is workable

I just have no idea, how to get you where you need to be.  I don't understand why you can't get the ISY online.  I assume the reason it goes offline is it's error-ing out.  which does lead to the question what are the lights on the  front doing?  If it's only the Blue power light, then try a different power supply, maybe you also have that issue.

from the wiki:

  • Only Power Light Is On:
    • Most probably power supply related. You can try any power supply that outputs anywhere between 5 volt and 30 volts, center positive, 2mm barrel connector

I’m finding 2.1 barrels but no 2mm barrel. Is the tolerance exact or would 2.1 suffice?
this seems to be centre positive and 2.1 mm.
