Starting to play with ZMatter module and attempting to add a "Ring Gen2 Extender". Polisy sees the device and attempts to pair with provided code, however, when it completes no device is added and the following appears in the event log.

Device mismatch, Removing all existing ISY files/objects for Z-Wave device

I've previously paired this with the Zooz 700 Series Z-Wave Plus S2, is there something I appear to be missing?

Here's the event log.

Do you have an option to include and don't select S2?

Just retried, same issues.

Did you do a remove first?

I've factory reset my Polisy since previously testing with the USB dongle. So id assume any existing links would gone.

I have the same issue and error message.  This device is an Aeotec Range Extender 7.  Exclude, then include.  Tried various combinations of S2, S0, None for security.  No joy.   The few switches I've paired so far do not have this problem.

Has anyone gotten a range extender to pair?  If so, what brand/type?

I've got one of the same range extenders, and it included into the Z-Wave network, but there aren't any nodes visible in the device tree.  See the linked post:

I have the same experience.  No nodes created.  Something about "not a multifunction device".

similar issue with Schlage locks.

I removed all z-wave devices from 994, thinking I could rebuild z-wave network on eisy after transitioning all Insteon stuff over.  I could add the 9 or so aerotec sirens that form the main mesh without issue.  The first 2 Schlage locks give do not show as nodes in the tree.  When I use my Z-wave toolbox, they DO show as being seen by the eisy. (the wave toolbox reads from the eisy what devices are there the table of neighbors.  so back to the @Chris Jahncomment on another thread that they ISY node is not created.

selecting S0 or S2 security seems to have no change in outcome.  same with removing before adding.

other thoughts?

As is case many times for me:  operator error.

I kept reading these forums and needed to remember that the PIN being asked for is written inside the lock, it's not something you get to make up for yourself.

having retried the first two locks, they're now communicating properly and showing up in ISY tree.

Thanks again to all who contribute here.

Same issue here but with a Somfy Z-Wave remote (for shades). Worked with the ISY994 and Polisy with ZMatter board prior to migrating to ZMatter firmware. No ask for authentication options either.

Running Polisy with ZMatter board and IoX v.5.5.2 migrated to ZMatter firmware. The board has been factory reset and I've started building the ZWave network from scratch. Some devices, such as thermostats and plugs, are pairing just fine.

Nodes never show up in the Network view (and I expect 4 nodes per previous experience), but the remote acts like it is paired. I have to un-pair it and re-pair to get the same message. No combination changes the outcome.

Following up - IoX v.5.5.3 resolved this issue - my remote has nodes. My repeaters also now show up as nodes after removing and re-pairing. Thank you UDI and this awesome community!

@cswelin please try to update Polisy IoX firmware to 5.5.3  (just released) and attempt to add again.

Please report back if still having issues or if resolved with Firmware update.

Can confirm it works now, much appreciated!
