Garage Door Mock Data.

Featured Replies

Hi All,

I'm looking form mock data for a garage door sensor and trigger and/or data from a plugin that controls a garage door. The goal is is UI testing.

Need a copy of rest/nodes. A copy of rest/profiles?family=AA&instance=BB where AA is the family (1 for insteon, 10 for plugin) and BB is instance (1 for insteon, slot number for plugin).

Please send in private message along with the node names and/or addresses and context of how it is working in your setup. I will post here if no longer needed.

I'm not sure what you mean exactly, but I just ordered some tuya wall warts that monitors wattage and of course switch on/off. Combined with a door closed contact my intention is to design a system that knows door closed, not closed, door moving, not moving to automate closure and then switch power off to gdo when certain conditions are met for added security.

Looking for either the Insteon sensor + iolink (I think) combo or from a Garage door plugin.

In short, I want data to mock this device to show an example of a custom tile which will show door open/close state and control.

Similar to the door lock which shows lock state and battery level.

I'm also not quite sure what you're looking for. An example of how an actual one is set up? I'm using an IOLinc for this, which I plan on replacing with a Shelly ZWave LR module (to avoid a door opening from a Insteon All On). I'm using the IOLinc's input to detect that the door is closed. I'll probably replace the input side with another Shelly input device. They have one with two inputs, which would allow a more reliable detection of both open and closed, instead of just closed/not closed. I had also created custom icons that I would have liked to include in UD Mobile if/when custom icons become possible. My whole garage door program folder has 14 programs, to account for staus update of keypadlinc buttons for when the door is operated manually.

I currently have an elk zone that monitors the garage door state and I use UD mobile to turn my garage door icon green when open and red when closed, but like I said, I plan to add that the door is moving to the mix (gdo is pulling > some number of watts). The issue is that my car automatically triggers the gdo when I drive away and so does arming my alarm system. So if the car has already triggered it and then the alarm senses it isn't closed and triggers it, it ends up reversing. So the added info of not closed + moving will be programmatically set to tell the alarm system to skip activation of the gdo and wait, then notify if it isn't closed.

I also intend on shutting power off to the gdo when the alarm is armed in night mode and when I'm out of town.

I have used ratgdo board with the ratgdo plugin and it gives open/close, light, door status and others. Works very well. I also have the Yolink garage door sensor that gives open/close status as a backup. Yolink products seem better for longer distances.

Perfect is ratgdo a plugin? If it is can you send the data requested in the first post?

@Javi I have two doors on RATDGO plug in and three doors using Elk contact sensors and Elk outputs to run a factory car style remote controller via soldered wires.

Am not sure what it is you want to see, but if you can be more specific I can send it.

thanks.

That is exactly what I have set up with my elk. I don't use ratgdo since my gdo is 18 years old. I plan on adding wattage monitors to them so I know when they are moving.

Perfect 2 things

Two things:

Copy of rest/nodes.

Copy of rest/profiles?family=AA&instance=BB where AA is the family (1 for insteon, 10 for plugin) and BB is instance (1 for insteon, slot number for plugin).
