I just set up a new program to send alarms to my email address. The problem is when the If is true is sending emails every minute or so, and I want just get a email every hour the If is true. I tried the command "wait 1hour" having the same result. What am I doing wrong? How link 3 way or 4 way switches through Isy99, real (physically wired) or Virtual Multi-Way, it's for controlling a ceiling lamp I don't found no documentation about that. I tried trough scene but nothing works, I'm just able to do something when I linked manually the switches and he seems to be not the best way with ISY. Which one is the controller and wich one must be the responder or both. If someone could explain how it works, thank you in advance

Hi All, I have been slowly learning how this gem works... and I love it.. for the most part. I do have some questions on how to do a couple of things.. I have a bathroom remodel just completed and I went with a bunch (7) of inlinelincs to control can lights, wall lights, toe kick, exhaust fan, etc. Got some pretty good scenes going, but here are a few things I would like to do: 1) when a scene containing the exhaust fan goes off, I would like to keep the fan running longer. right now, I have a small program that detects when the status goes off, to wait a few secs and then turn it back on for 5 minutes. would be better if i could just keep it on. 1.5) would a…

Have tried several times to change from toggle mode to non-toggle "always off" mode on a v.36 keypadlinc but I keep getting "Request failed" message. I have a 2441V TA v.92. I note that there is an option to "Report Humidity". I did not find any documentation for this option when searching this forum or on the Wiki. (Perhaps I missed it?). What does the option do? If uncheck will a query still show the correct humidity? Does the option simply reduce the Insteon traffic for humidity variations?

I have a scene with two controllers: one a kpl button and the other a light. The cross link works as expected: turn on the light manually and the kpl button lights up. However if i turn the device on from the admin console or mobilinc the kpl button does not light up. Can this be done without a program? Thanks!

What's everyones take on a free ISY native iOS app? I'm not one to recreate the wheel, but what I've found is either pricey (and ugly), or limited. Given the REST API, and being a software developer, this would be a rather trivial exercise. Hi all! I have followed with interest many posts on the forum re: backup generators. I was always from day 1 afraid of the generator and Insteon living together. I had a very bad situation a few weeks ago which I want to share in hopes that someone else can benefit from this. We had another power outage (dozens per year). I had a Generac 12KW unit, vintage 2003. I kept it off as long as possible only to manually power it up after 8-10 hours of no electric. I'm trying to add a new Remotelinc2. I'm getting an error: [FileOpen ] Open failed for [/CONF/1C3D5F.REC] The 1C3D5F is the correct address. The remotelinc is v1.2. I'm running 3.2.6 on my ISY. Earlier this morning, I had added the remote. I wasn't happy with the programming and thought it would be easier to delete and factory reset than to clean up the programming. So I deleted within ISY and then did the reset. since that point, I can't add it back. I wanted to log the temperature readings from my Insteon thermostats so I made this program (Windows .NET). It logs the temperature every 1 minute for all thermostats to a csv file for easy graphing. Hi Everyone, I was wondering if someone would mind taking the time to explain both the technical and practical issues of using a Swlitchlinc dimmer (SLD) as a Switchlinc relay (SWR). I am not a fan of florescent lighting, however CFLs are now everywhere. Is there an problems is CFLs are on a SLD the has a ramp rate of .1 second? Or FastOn command. Without even knowing it I find them secretly installed in my house. I know CFLs are not good for Insteon communication reasons, however I am talking about the effect on the actual SLD and the bulb. I use a morninglinc to open the door to the guesthouse. Had this set up properly before they sent me a new morninglinc which i just set up today again. When the keypadlinc button is engaged (and scene is ON), the door does not unlock, it only locks and then stays locked. The new ISY firmware and/or morninglinc version I received has a choice in the scene for the keypadlinc button to choose unlock or lock each for the on/off nodes. I want it so that when the scene is ON (and the LED on the KPL is ON), then the morninglinc unlocks, and vice versa. Thanks

Hello everybody , I am new on ISY. I am trying to program a button on my KeypadLinc 8 to turn OFF almost all of my devices. I managed to create a scene "ALL OFF" adding all the responders I want OFF. When press the button assigned on the K8 all of the devices turn OFF, but if I press the button again all of the devices turn ON. How can I get the button just turning OFF the devices? Thanks

Hi, I have a number of scenes. One is an "All Off" scene. For that scene I make sure that on the keypads I use (typically button "D") that are toggled to off only. I notice that there are a few rooms that do not respond to the physical button press however if I am logged into the ISY admin mode, I am able to turn the lights on & off. I have the Den (which has a 4 way) with a load, then Den entry, den kitchen. They are all controllers to the "Den" scene. If I press the button when walking into the room, it works fine. If I use the ISY, it works fine. When I use the "All off" D button it does not go on or off. I am having similar problems …

Hi - I have a new installation of Insteon, including an ISY994i and PLM (2413S) as step one. My router is in a network hub closet with only one outlet and this outlet has a large UPC which controls a number of items. It is clearly stated that either a filter is needed for this second plug on the outlet, or I need to place my PLM and ISY somewhere else. My question is: Does the ISY need to be plugged directly in the ROUTER, or can it attach to my network elsewhere, more specifically to a network SWITCH located in another part of the house (with less electronic gear). I have the garage door control and status kit installed and have followed the directions. I have it set to momentary C. I can use the "on" button in the Admin Console to open, stop, and close the door. So it works like a garage door remote. With that said how do I know via the admin console if the door is open or closed? I'm not getting the status. The "off" button in the Admin Console does nothing. What am I doing wrong?

I have an ISY-99 and have written programs to send a txt message to my iPhone when certain insteon devices change status. Is there a way to actually create custom text messages depending on what even occured. For instance when the I/O Link in our motion sensor sun room flood lights turn on I would like to create a message saying "Sun Room Motion Lights On" Here is an example of a line item in my program. This is real frustrating, I can't login to admin console any more. So, I spent about 4 hours last night messing around with this. ISY-99i - Win 7 computer, saw the Java 7 issue, so I went to a computer that was running Java 6, still can't login to admin console - Disabled avg firewall, same results - I did a factory reset on the ISY-99i, same results - The power light is solid blue, all other lights are off, and Er light flashes red everyone once in awile - When I do an ipscan the ISY-99i is still at 192.168.1.131 However, I can't telnet into it, nor if I use a crossover cable and go direct to the isy-99i, I can't login to the admin console - I…

Is there a way to chart the actual temp on a thermostat...not the setpoint. I would like to know how the temp is fluctuating over the past week based on my setpoint programs. Thanks!

I had some internet and Apple extreme issues that have been resolved, but now i can't log into the console from the icon on the desktop. I went to U.D. website and tried to open from there, but all i get is the blue screen with no log in window. Help.

I upgraded my firmware and my custom application stopped working. I have a backup of my previous settings. How can I find out what firmware that was using, and how do I downgrade to that firmware?
