Hi Guys, Just another update: unfortunately we have to go through re-certification again: 1. Home cannot be used 2. The spoken words chosen for our test were not well understood by Echo As such, we need your help. Would you all please 1. Post back the name of location/devices that you would most likely use with Echo? For instance, Front Door Lock. Or Upstairs Thermostat. Or Bedroom All. Or, in short, whatever you think you would want to call them. We already have a list of about 80 2. The same for your program names 3. Invocation name. Currently we are thinking of using My Home but I very much doubt it'll fly. And, I.S.Y is too cumbersome. Izzy is not understood: depending on the accent, Echo might consider it "easy". With kind regards, Michel

Hi Tom, Congratulations and thanks so very much for the update. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Michael, Yes, that's the last time you logged into the portal. We'll make the suggested change. With kind regards, Michel

Hi MustangChris04, Those will definitely show up in the error log: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Errors_And_Error_Messages#System_Errors(-2). With kind regards, Michel

Hi MWareman, This is absolutely not expected. Please do be kind enough to send me your UUID so that I can take a look. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hello MustangChris04, The reason is because didn't divulge their local APIs. So - and as much as we don't like it - we are forced to use a portal. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi MustangChris04, Have you taken a look at the log? It has pretty much everything you need to figure out the status of a device at any given point in time and what made that device turn on/off. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Tom, I must agree with you especially since the emitter flashes. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Brad, Scenes are collection of devices where one (or more) act as controllers. For instance, a 3 way switch must be a scene. Depending on what you are trying to do, you might not need scenes. But, since you mentioned KPL buttons not doing anything, I suspect you want those buttons to do something. If that's the case, then you need to have a scene for each one of those buttons and then put other devices that you want those buttons to control inside the scene either as controllers (they follow the status of the button and the button will follow their status) or responders (they follow the status of the button but if you physically do anything to them, the status of the button will not follow). With kind regards, Michel

Hi Brad, Please review: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:How-To_Guide#Scenes With kind regards, Michel

Hello MWareman, They will coexist but we will have to disable the MobiLinc eventually. Can you please send me your UUID? For those who have MobiLinc, please contact Wes. He mentioned something about Echo support but I am not 100% certain. ISY Portal is currently very limited in functionality: 1. Remote access without port forwarding 2. Echo support 3. Plan for IFTTT once Echo is certified 4. Multiple accounts for integrators With kind regards, Michel

Hi Tom, If you have already learned the IR code into WF2IR and if you cannot control the TV directly from it, then there's something wrong with the code or with the device itself. In this case, Network resources will not work either since they use the same code. Does WF2IR work with any other device? With kind regards, Michel

Hi pjt588, I have not personally used what Barry and others have graciously contributed and tirelessly worked on. So, I cannot comment on the differences. With ISY Portal, you should be able to use Alexa, turn something on/off. For things that are not lighting, then you will need to use Alexa tell to lock all doors, etc. Or Run x. Cost of ISYPortal currently is $49.00 for two years. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi MWaremen, Unfortunately it's a manual process. We would need your UUID to disable MobiLinc. With kind regards, Michel
-
Chuck, I think you should take this up with Amazon. We are simply working within the constraints of their environment. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Chuck, It would have to include program in the command. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Barry, What are you referring to being opened up? You can now purchase a 2 year subscription for ISY Portal for $49.00 using the same method as purchasing other modules. This said, again, installing ISY Portal will diable MobiLinc Connect. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Chuck, Unfortunately ISY can only talk to one portal at a time and thus there will be a conflict. This said, MobiLinc should work going against ISY portal as well. Yes, you can run programs using Echo. With kind regards, Michel

Hi guys, We are checking into various names. Some have lower chances of success. I.S.Y is understood very well. I am not sure about Izzy. Please note that it should not be related to either ISY or Izzy. Any others please? With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi barrygordon, We support both the lighting API as well as an additional Skill for things such as Alexa, tell ISY to lock all doors. So, it's both. With kind regards, Michel

HomeKit Support via HomeBridge - Siri Voice Control
Michel Kohanim replied to rayzor's topic in ISY994
cyberk, We have already submitted our application to Amazon for Echo integration. Waiting for certification. We have no plans on supporting HomeKit simply because we will be forced to have new hardware which will cost $$$$$ while not knowing what the ROI would be for things that can already be done without it. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Xathros, Thanks so very much for the update. I am concerned that your portal URL changed on its own. Let us check into it and get back to you. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hello everyone, Update: Amazon actually tested ISY and came back with a few recommendations to make things more user friendly. We will be completing the recommendations by the end of the week and submitting again. Hopefully this will take less time. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Arun, That's correct but the process is NOT automatic. You will need to exclude them from your existing controller and then include them into ISY. Or make ISY a secondary controller to your existing primary controller. With kind regards, Michel

Hi hammr808, Still waiting for certification. This said, we do know that they are testing it! With kind regards, Michel
