  1. Hi Elam, ISY Portal is now open to everyone. The reason we have not yet advertised the Skill is because there are some anomalies that we are trying to resolve. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi David, Thank YOU and I am so very glad to hear that ISY has been productive for you and your loved ones. Yes, we are in contact with SmartHome and they have promised to get this to us ASAP. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hello everyone, Thanks so very much for all the feedback. We have contacted Alexa team and debugging. Stusviews, if nothing at all works for you, please send your topology to support@universal-devices.com. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hello everyone, Our skill was certified just a couple of hours ago! This said, we have been testing it and the voice recognition is not that good. Trying to figure out whether or not the issue is on the portal, the skill, or voice recognition. You are all welcome to test the Skill. Again, this is just for the skill and not the Connected Home. To test: 1. Enable ISY Skill in your app and associated it with your portal account 2. Say: Alexa ask izzy to refresh devices (this will bring in all devices into the skill) 3. Ask izzy to do For help: 1. Alexa open izzy 2. The prompts will help you Rather disappointing. With kind regards, Michel
  5. mwester, The last paragraph is correct. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi barrygordon, Skill certification is mutually exclusive with Connected Home. So we may have the skill certified and working while waiting for NAC. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello everyone, We have been in contact with SmartHome and it seems that they don't have the APIs available nor do they know when it would become available. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi smokegrub, If you keep getting the authentication dialog, it means that ISY cannot publish events (and specifically heartbeat) to the Admin Console. This can only happen when ISY cannot find the Admin Console on the network. The major causes are firewall software (which you don't have) or network connectivity. You may want to try https instead of http. If that works, then MAC security is blocking publication of events from ISY to your computer. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi blueman2, This means: 1. Once the skill is certified, you can use the skill (Alexa tell Izzy to x) 2. Have to wait for certification from NAC for the connected home which allows you to do simple things without invoking Izzy Not much else. Quite disappointing. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi smokegrub, This is most probably due to firewall issues: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Configuring_a_Firewall_for_Your_ISY With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hello everyone, Amazon has changed the Connected Home certification process (not the Skill) and most probably have changed how you communicate with Echo. As of right now, they require us to send devices to NAC to do certification! And, it will cost $$$. A little disappointing but I guess it was inevitable. On the skill side, we are almost there! With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi KMan, Thanks SO very much! With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi switzch, There's an issue in MobiLinc providing an invalid URL. We are putting a workaround for it and, if we don't run into any issues, it should be available shortly. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi Richard, Yes, Flex Alert is an energy conservation paradigm for CA utilities. Sorry. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hello everyone, thanks so very much for your invaluable input. Hi Richard, At a very simplistic level, all events in ISY go through a queue (FIFO) and the program task reads from the queue. So, there will never be a situation when two events are processed at the same time by ISY. Operator precedence is exactly like the corresponding programming languages that you are familiar with including () and short circuit for & and | . With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hi Adaptel, Although I agree with you alas there's really no way for us to figure this out utilizing the APIs given to us. Personally - and although subjective - I agree with you that devices should resume to whatever level they were before the power outage. The main question is: now that they don't, what can be done to mitigate the risks. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi 502ss, I am so very sorry for the confusion. Here's the background: 1. 5.0.x is dedicated to Variable enhancements (as larryllix posted above), Virtual Nodes, and Z-Wave Multi Channel. These are major surgeries in the code and, as you may have seen, it has taken a long time. Since a) 5.0x will be beta quality and we cannot just wait and see when 5.0.x becomes GA, we decided to continue to have a parallel path in 4.3+ 2. 4.3+ is stable and pretty much GA quality. We added needed features and bug fixes (such as Font size, intermediate certificates, etc.) to both 4.3.x and 5.0.x (dual maintain). This way, we can have a stable release without 5.0x things while we work on 5.0x 3. ISY Portal is available on both and Echo should be available on both. In short, whatever is in 4.3+ will be available in the next code drop for 5.0x If you have a mission critical application and you don't care about virtual nodes and variable enhancements, I suggest staying on the 4.3+ branch. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hello everyone, We heard back from Amazon. They have an internal technical issue they are trying to resolve. With kind regards, Michel
  19. madcodger, I do not have an ETA. Sorry. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi Harold, Please do be kind enough to submit a ticket (links below) and we'd be delighted to walk you through it. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi kck, I think that's a good idea. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hello all, Unfortunately nothing yet and no words whatsoever. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi baabm, I agree. Can you right mouse click on the main button and choose | Group devices. How many nodes appear underneath? With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi baabm, How many devices/scenes do you have? You might have reached the limit of the number of nodes on your unit. Before you remove things, try adding a new scene. If it does not get created, then you have reached the max number of nodes and must upgrade to PRO. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello everyone, Are we talking about a topic or a forum in and of itself devoted to Echo? If the latter, I am afraid it will just make our already long forum even longer. But, I am open to it as long as one (or more) people will agree to be the moderators for it. With kind regards, Michel
