  1. Hi Xathros, It will be: Alexa, ask My Home what's my current ISY. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hello felickz, You have two other choices: 1. If you have mini USB to a USB cable, you can connect ISY's monitor port to a USB port on your computer and then use a terminal application (such as putty) to reset ISY's networking back to DHCP. The command is CT and when prompted for IP, enter 0 to go back to DHCP 2. If and only if you have a good backup, factory reset ISY and then once you find ISY on your computer, restore the backup. Once prompted whether or not you want to change the existing configuration (DHCP) with the one in the backup (static), choose No With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hello everyone, Izzy cannot be used because: It would breaks this rule: • The name should contain only well-known English words or names. Furthermore - and for those who call I.S.Y izzy - there will be some awkward commands: Alexa, tell izzy to switch izzy (switch it to a different ISY at a different location) Alexa, ask izzy what's my current izzy (which ISY am I currently connected to?) For now, we have to get passed the certification with "my home". Once that's done, we can revisit and we are very much open to suggestions. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Michel Kohanim replied to Cormacs's topic in ISY994
Hi Cormacs, Since 5.0 started off as a developer/alpha only version, it's listed under Developer section: http://forum.universal-devices.com/forum/56-developers/ Once it becomes more robust and user friendly, it'll move to our regular section. Please note that 5.0 is at best beta quality. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Thank you all. I like Izzy too but we have to make sure it does not get confused with "easy". With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi manowell, Got it. Thank you. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi manowell, I am so very sorry to hear. Please do make sure you have 4.3.26 installed. If you still get time drift issues, please send a request to sales@universal-devices.com for an RMA. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hello everyone, Thanks so very much for excellent contributions and suggestions. As far as invocation names, Jarvis/HAL have nothing to do with ISY and we might even have to deal with copyright issues. I think we should use either i.s.y or izzy. Thoughts? With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi rwkmann, Please go to Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Info/Status. Does it show connected? With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi Guys, Just another update: unfortunately we have to go through re-certification again: 1. Home cannot be used 2. The spoken words chosen for our test were not well understood by Echo As such, we need your help. Would you all please 1. Post back the name of location/devices that you would most likely use with Echo? For instance, Front Door Lock. Or Upstairs Thermostat. Or Bedroom All. Or, in short, whatever you think you would want to call them. We already have a list of about 80 2. The same for your program names 3. Invocation name. Currently we are thinking of using My Home but I very much doubt it'll fly. And, I.S.Y is too cumbersome. Izzy is not understood: depending on the accent, Echo might consider it "easy". With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi Tom, Congratulations and thanks so very much for the update. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi Michael, Yes, that's the last time you logged into the portal. We'll make the suggested change. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Michel Kohanim replied to MustangChris04's topic in ISY994
Hi MustangChris04, Those will definitely show up in the error log: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:Errors_And_Error_Messages#System_Errors(-2). With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi MWareman, This is absolutely not expected. Please do be kind enough to send me your UUID so that I can take a look. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hello MustangChris04, The reason is because didn't divulge their local APIs. So - and as much as we don't like it - we are forced to use a portal. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Michel Kohanim replied to MustangChris04's topic in ISY994
Hi MustangChris04, Have you taken a look at the log? It has pretty much everything you need to figure out the status of a device at any given point in time and what made that device turn on/off. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi Tom, I must agree with you especially since the emitter flashes. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi Brad, Scenes are collection of devices where one (or more) act as controllers. For instance, a 3 way switch must be a scene. Depending on what you are trying to do, you might not need scenes. But, since you mentioned KPL buttons not doing anything, I suspect you want those buttons to do something. If that's the case, then you need to have a scene for each one of those buttons and then put other devices that you want those buttons to control inside the scene either as controllers (they follow the status of the button and the button will follow their status) or responders (they follow the status of the button but if you physically do anything to them, the status of the button will not follow). With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi Brad, Please review: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index.php?title=ISY-99i/ISY-26_INSTEON:How-To_Guide#Scenes With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hello MWareman, They will coexist but we will have to disable the MobiLinc eventually. Can you please send me your UUID? For those who have MobiLinc, please contact Wes. He mentioned something about Echo support but I am not 100% certain. ISY Portal is currently very limited in functionality: 1. Remote access without port forwarding 2. Echo support 3. Plan for IFTTT once Echo is certified 4. Multiple accounts for integrators With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi Tom, If you have already learned the IR code into WF2IR and if you cannot control the TV directly from it, then there's something wrong with the code or with the device itself. In this case, Network resources will not work either since they use the same code. Does WF2IR work with any other device? With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi pjt588, I have not personally used what Barry and others have graciously contributed and tirelessly worked on. So, I cannot comment on the differences. With ISY Portal, you should be able to use Alexa, turn something on/off. For things that are not lighting, then you will need to use Alexa tell to lock all doors, etc. Or Run x. Cost of ISYPortal currently is $49.00 for two years. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi MWaremen, Unfortunately it's a manual process. We would need your UUID to disable MobiLinc. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Chuck, I think you should take this up with Amazon. We are simply working within the constraints of their environment. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi Chuck, It would have to include program in the command. With kind regards, Michel
