  1. Hi atmarosi, Z-Wave | Remove/Exclude a Z-Wave Device menu item. Can you verify that your firmware is indeed 4.1.2 or above (Help | About)? With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi johnnyt, Thank you. I will follow up with SmartenIt. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Frank, We are actually going through PG&E certification as we speak (it's been 3 weeks in their testing lab with 22 different meters)! With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi johnnyt, I got an email from Justin at SmartenIt ... I told him that the issue is that we are receiving duplicate messages. Getting duplicate messages is OK because RF devices send 2 (or sometimes 3). This said, EZIO never used to do that. So, questions: 1. How old is your EZIO? 2. Do you know whether or not it's a dual band device? With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hello atmarosi, All issues we have dealt with thus far have either been firmware mismatch (you need 4.1.2) or range. Please make sure you have 4.1.2 installed and, exclude it first, and then include it while close to ISY. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi Jay, I do apologize for the phone tag. The best thing to do would be to submit a ticket and provide us with a few time slots most convenient for you. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi ngeren, Thank you. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi mlennox, Please reboot your router and retry. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi iglon, Reason 3 means that ISY could not communicate with the device Or that the device is not reporting its engine. Please change the Level to 3 so that we can see the traffic and then paste it here again. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi ngeren, This is very cool! Thanks so very much for sharing. The main question is whether or not this could become a standalone solution to purchase/use? With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi rniles, Would you please open Tools | Diagnostics | Event Viewer, change the level to 3, retry including your door lock and then save send the contents of the Event Viewer to support@universal-devices.com? With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi mlennox, Yes, you can but the main issue is whether or not your router will allow DNS queries from a device that it has not assigned IP addresses to. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hello TheSidewinder, Thank you. But the same zip file can be imported to ISY without errors! With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi leith, Zip file is NOT empty. If you are using Windows' decompression utility, it will have a hard time opening the file. If you really need to see what's in there, try another zip utility such as AllZip. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi mlennox, The first thing I recommend is to reboot your router! Next: 1. If you have configured your ISY with a static IP address, please try 8.8.4.4 for DNS 2. If that does not work, please revert to DHCP With kind regards, Michel
  16. jfberg, Just wanted to thank you for sharing this. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi Jim, That's quite odd. SSL is an obsolete standard and superseded by TLS and that's what is being used by ISY. I do not think the link talks about external SMTP services (such as gmail) but AT&T's smtp service. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi iglon, Can you please use Event Viewer on Level 3, and then retry. Once done, please post the contents of the Event Viewer here. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Jay, Please do NOT start from scratch. The first question is whether or not you get status feedback for any of your devices on the admin console. Say, you turn on/off a device, does the admin console reflect the status? If not, then we will have to worry about the PLM having lost its links. Again, we'd be delighted to help through our tech support line (links below). With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi Jay, Just wanted to let you know we'd be delighted to help you through our tech support (links below) especially if we can schedule a time. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi smokegrub, You can install a self signed certificate (on 994) ... please see here on page 9: http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/I ... 0Guide.pdf With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi xamarin, I do not think anyone here would be able to help you with your project. I am sorry. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi Mike, I totally agree. As far as sensors, with the inclusion of Z-Wave, there are many more options available for sensors. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi KHouse, I must echo Xathro's recommendations. I did run a huge stress test on my setup in the lab whereby a network resource would call www.google.com every 2 seconds. Everything worked properly for 2 days and then DNS resolution became completely random. Upon further checking and wasting a day on ISY DHCP and DNS code, I decided to simply reboot the router and, voila, everything started working again. It's been running non-stop for the past 4 days without a miss. So, in some cases, the router might also be the culprit. As such, I also suggest rebooting the router again and see if things get better for a few days. With kind regards, Michel

    Retries

Hi sfhutchi, I would not touch the number of retries if I were you. It might add to network congestion, traffic, and many other unexplained behavior. If you so choose to do so, please try on a couple first, do NOT do any other configuration changes, observe for a few days and then decide whether or not you want to keep those settings. With kind regards, Michel
