Hi andrewm, If ISY's power supply is not on UPS, then you could have a program that runs at startup and sends you a notification. Other than that, it would be very difficult for ISY to sense power loss during the loss. With kind regards, Michel

Hello KHouse. Those errors are DNS errors. All of this points to some networking issues. Do you have DirecTV or Verizon/AT&T FIOS? If so, what's your ISY's firmware version? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Mike, Yes, another user in California had the same issue. I didn't (I am in California as well). With kind regards, Michel

Hello everyone, Unfortunately ISY does not have the capability of sending text to any ELK port except for the display. The reason is that for display, the behavior is pretty well defined. For the other port, it would be a support nightmare trying to figure out why an attached device does not work based on the given text. With kind regards, Michel

Hello rniles, oberkc is 100% correct in all aspects. As far as Zigbee PRO vs. SEP, the main question is: what are your intentions? If your utility has installed a Smart Meter for you and if they allow you to connect a HAN device to it, AND if you would like to get whole-house energy information out of your meter, then SEP is the path to go. If you want more granular energy monitoring (i.e. per circuit), then PRO is the way to go. If Z-Wave door locks and support for more home automation devices is more important for you, then you should go with Z-Wave. With kind regards, Michel

Hello drw, I am so very sorry to hear. Please do not put your ISY on a timer because, then, we will never ever be able to figure out what's causing the issue. At the moment, I do believe the problem is related to UPnP bombardment by media servers. Please do stay on 4.1.0 or even 4.1.2 and disable the timer so that we can address the root cause. With kind regards, Michel

Hi EricK, Unfortunately not. We are very deep into routing and healing Z-Wave network after which we'll get back to 5.0 framework which would make it easier to integrate with other devices. With kind regards, Michel

Hi fuentesa, Yes, but you need an SD Card reader on your computer. If you do have one, please send an email to support@universal-devices.com with a link to this post and we'll help you. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Sorka, Yes, center positive, 5-30volts. With kind regards, Michel

Hi guedesluz, First, please ensure you are using https and NOT http. Other than that, I must echo Balok's statements. If you can get it enabled in the Admin Console and if you have the remote URL for your ISY displayed in Help | About, then it must be that your ISP is not allowing you to host a webserver on 443. With kind regards, Michel

mfranzel, Unfortunately you can't. The only way you can control it is by putting it in a scene with another controller. With kind regards, Michel

Hi mdcastle, Anyone who has a 26 or 99 is eligible. With kind regards, Michel

Hi KHouse, Which one do you have the most? -11 means that your ISP's SMTP server didn't like the To (i.e. whomever you were sending the email to). Perhaps address issues or blocked. -5, -6 are definitely connection related. You may want to increase the timeout but it would fix the problem. If you have one or two, then it's probably network error. With kind regards, Michel

Hi guedesluz, If you use UPnP, it depends on the router. Most do not show UPnP rules. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Frank, I stand corrected. There's indeed one more open issue that we are tracking. This one, though, cannot even join the meter even though it finds it. Please let me know what you find. Or, please ask them whether or not we can have a conference call so that I can remote into your computer and see what's going on. With kind regards, Michel

Hi bwoodfl, If you have a good backup, the best solution is to factory reset ISY (press and hold the reset button inside the little hole on the front of the unit for 30 seconds) and the do File | Restore ISY to restore you backup. With kind regards, Michel

Hello KHouse, The first thing I recommend is looking at your Error Log for SMTP errors: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... MTP_Errors Do you have any? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Frank, The can see the meter or ISY. We do NOT have any outstanding issues with the anyone else using PG&E Smart Meter. All have been resolved. As far as Zigbee board, NO: they do not need Zigbee to read the meter and bill you. Zigbee is only for HAN (Home Area Communications) so that customers can have access to the meter information. With kind regards, Michel

Hi mfranzel, That's the correct method (adding a button to IRLinc). With kind regards, Michel

insteon 2441TH programming for winter and summer
Michel Kohanim replied to 62vetteefp's topic in ISY994
Hi 62vetteefp, Heat Ct means calling for heat. It's not necessary the mode of your thermostat. If you want to check the mode, you have to use the thermostat's Mode property in the condition and not Heat Ct. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Frank, We are going through PG&E HAN validation as we speak. While testing, I noticed behavior very similar to yours but it recovered by itself. The fact that status is Established tells me that ISY has joined the meter network but all queries are simply erroring out. You might want to look at http://your.isy.ip.address/rest/emter/metering/log ... you can also send it to me. What I would ask them: 1. Is ISY registered in the meter (do they see it) 2. Is the meter's Zigbee board working properly With kind regards, Michel

Thank you. In that case, I recommend: factory resetting your IRLinc TX and then try and move it closer to ISY. If that does not work - and if you are certain the problem is not a signal issue - then I recommend getting a replacement. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi mfranzel, Are you following the instructions here? http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... ransmitter With kind regards, Michel

Hi nfaries, Please remove from ISY, do a factory reset on it, and then add it back. Any improvements? With kind regards, Michel

Good reasons for upgrading from ISY-99i IR/Pro to ISY-994
Michel Kohanim replied to bgalbraith's topic in ISY994
Hello bgalbraith, It should have ... do you still see spurious IR events? I am so very sorry you didn't receive the email. This said, we did send 3 different emails between February and May of 2013 and then offered great discounts at the end of the year last year. This said, please contact sales@universal-devices.com and we'll do our best to accommodate No, here are the instructions: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... r_ISY-994i. Whatever you do, please do NOT factory reset your ISY and/or the PLM No drawbacks. Most important benefits: - More memory - Expansion slot for Z-Wave OR Zigbee With kind regards, Michel
