  1. Hi Joe, Thank you, very much appreciated, and posts like yours make it ALL worthwhile. Thanks again and with kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi Steve, Your router does not support UPnP (which is a good thing). Instead of doing File | Enable Internet Access, you might want to try: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... PnP_Router With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi mbaccrain, Perhaps you might find this useful: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... und_CAV6.6 With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi Teken, thanks so very much. It does mean a LOT to all of us here. shannong, you are welcome! With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi chago2013, Two cases: 1. ISY didn't hear status update message (perhaps the PLM does not have the link) ... do you get status updates anyway? 2. IOLinc in trigger reverse returns the wrong status for the relay With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi chago2013, QueryAll program is precisely because of what you mentioned: synch ISY's status to those of devices. But, in most cases, this is not even necessary if you have good communications and if all your devices are reporting back to ISY. This said, it's a good safeguard for scenarios such as PLM losing its links or communication errors (is Responding/is not Responding). With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi madcodger, Already implemented and will be in 4.1.2. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi D2HnGA, Thank you. Is there anything in common between those two KPLs? Do they get really hot? What's the type of load they are controlling? With kind regards, Michel

    ISY 994i

Hi sef9721, If you have configured your ISY with a static IP address, in all likelihood your router does not like DNS relay. What you might want to try for DNS is 8.8.4.4. Or, if you don't mind, revert to DHCP and use DHCP reservations instead of configuration using static IP address. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi Vinnie, Please send an email to support@universal-devices.com and we'll send you the instructions. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hello D2HnGA, I am so very sorry to hear. The last entries in the event log are quite troubling: Wed 12/18/2013 06:05:12 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 18 56 3D 0F 2B DF Wed 12/18/2013 06:05:21 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 18 56 3D 0F 28 0D Wed 12/18/2013 06:05:30 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 18 56 3D 0F 28 0D It basically means that the PLM is NOT responding. How many of your devices have already been restored? Did you follow the instructions here? http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... _.28PLM.29 Do you have a good backup? With kind regards,
  12. Hi jam583, Yes, but you need to be a little more specific as far as what you consider a "meter"? If your utility provider has installed Smart Meters and if they allow you to connect to it, then ISY994i ZS Series provides you with meter information: https://www.universal-devices.com/utili ... zs-series/ On the other hand, if you don't have a Smart Meter, then you could use ISY994i Z Series in conjunction with Brultech meters (with CTs): https://www.universal-devices.com/comme ... -z-series/ And, finally, with the introduction of our Z-Wave solution, in the near future, you could use ISY994i Series + Z-Wave to get energy information from Z-Wave energy aware devices. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Vinnie, That's great. Nothing else needs to be done unless you keep seeing the 80000 errors. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi salex319, Yes, and apologies for not being clear: the answer to both is no. You can try activating the sesnor by dancing around and you might be lucky enough to get the motion sensor NOT to go back to sleep while programming. The reason we resisted not implementing auto update was because in most cases the Motion Sensor would go back to sleep unless you had continuous dancing around. And, even then, there were cases that the motion sensor got confused. On the other hand, when you put motion sensor into programming mode properly, you will have 4 minutes of awake time so you won't have to keep dancing around. And, the results are very predictable. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi Vinnie, Unfortunately the problem with your INSTEON switch is noise related and I suspect it's related to low voltage lighting/transformers. As far as 80000, at one point you issued File | Enable Internet Access. Now, you will need to do File | Disable Internet Access. And, I am sure this fails because your router does not support UPnP configuration. So, you would need to: 1. Telnet to ISY 2. Login 3. At the prompt type the following and then hit Enter: DI D is for Disable. I is for Internet Access. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello salex319 Motion Sensors must be awake for ISY to be able to program them. ISY does not "wait" to hear the motion sensor is active and then start programming them. In short, human intervention is required every time you need to program a motion sensor. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi ENrgStar, The problem is that [Wait] is interruptible. This means that while ISY in the Wait, if the condition turns to false, then the Wait stops, program exists (Else is executed) and statements following Wait are not executed. I suspect that the timeout in your Motion Sensor is less than 45 seconds and thus your Motion Sensors turns off in the middle of the Wait. What you need to do is to use Control instead Status. And, by doing so, every time motion is sensed, the timer starts from scratch (i.e. occupancy vs. motion). With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi Brian, thanks so very much for the details. Thanks to untiring help/support from LeeG and his HouseLinc traces, this feature is now included in our next firmware release to be out in couple of weeks. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi hart2hart, Since you would be accessing ISY via a remote IP address, then you should get a certificate either for the dynamic dns name associated for your remote IP address OR the remote IP address itself. Things you must do in ISY (994 ONLY): http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/I ... 0Guide.pdf (pages 10 and 11). In short, you must make a certificate request (page 10) and then send it to a CA (say GoDaddy or CheapSSL). Once approved, you would receive the cert (page 11). With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi Jason, thank you. We do not have any reports of these KPLs having any issues bad whatsoever. Although it does not sound rational, but I think they are defective. With kind regards, Michel
  21. shannong, I am afraid that I am going to get dragged into a futile, protracted, philosophical, and pedantic discussion and waste the time that can be otherwise used for development. As such, I shall ignore further comments on this topic and get back to work. I know what you want. Period. With kind regards, Michel
  22. shannong, I am sorry you are frustrated. Unfortunately "basic" is subjective and, as you can see in the forum, it has not been basic enough otherwise there would be 100s of requests by now. Just like any other company, we prioritize our development based on most important features needed. This was not one of them. As I mentioned before, this is in our requirements list and we shall have it implemented based on our priorities. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi Tony, MobiLinc Connect does not require certificates. Have you spoken to MobiLinc support? With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hello maddbomber83, Thanks so very much! And, we are on it as we speak. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello apostolakisl, thanks so very much! Hello aweber1nj, I know this subject is a little confusing so let me see if I can explain it. Status events are generated based on change of state. Control events are generated when a person physically turns something on/off. As such, if you turn a device physically on 10 times, the status is only changed once and programs that depend on status will NOT be evaluated because the status never changed. Control events, on the other hand, cause programs that depend on them to be re-evaluated. As far as programs calling programs, it's really up to you whether or not you like using them. From an atomic operation perspective, you can consider programs without conditions as tasks/threads the execution of which does not depend on the events received and/or evaluated. With kind regards, Michel
