  1. Hi salex319, Yes, and apologies for not being clear: the answer to both is no. You can try activating the sesnor by dancing around and you might be lucky enough to get the motion sensor NOT to go back to sleep while programming. The reason we resisted not implementing auto update was because in most cases the Motion Sensor would go back to sleep unless you had continuous dancing around. And, even then, there were cases that the motion sensor got confused. On the other hand, when you put motion sensor into programming mode properly, you will have 4 minutes of awake time so you won't have to keep dancing around. And, the results are very predictable. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi Vinnie, Unfortunately the problem with your INSTEON switch is noise related and I suspect it's related to low voltage lighting/transformers. As far as 80000, at one point you issued File | Enable Internet Access. Now, you will need to do File | Disable Internet Access. And, I am sure this fails because your router does not support UPnP configuration. So, you would need to: 1. Telnet to ISY 2. Login 3. At the prompt type the following and then hit Enter: DI D is for Disable. I is for Internet Access. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hello salex319 Motion Sensors must be awake for ISY to be able to program them. ISY does not "wait" to hear the motion sensor is active and then start programming them. In short, human intervention is required every time you need to program a motion sensor. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi ENrgStar, The problem is that [Wait] is interruptible. This means that while ISY in the Wait, if the condition turns to false, then the Wait stops, program exists (Else is executed) and statements following Wait are not executed. I suspect that the timeout in your Motion Sensor is less than 45 seconds and thus your Motion Sensors turns off in the middle of the Wait. What you need to do is to use Control instead Status. And, by doing so, every time motion is sensed, the timer starts from scratch (i.e. occupancy vs. motion). With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi Brian, thanks so very much for the details. Thanks to untiring help/support from LeeG and his HouseLinc traces, this feature is now included in our next firmware release to be out in couple of weeks. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi hart2hart, Since you would be accessing ISY via a remote IP address, then you should get a certificate either for the dynamic dns name associated for your remote IP address OR the remote IP address itself. Things you must do in ISY (994 ONLY): http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/I ... 0Guide.pdf (pages 10 and 11). In short, you must make a certificate request (page 10) and then send it to a CA (say GoDaddy or CheapSSL). Once approved, you would receive the cert (page 11). With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi Jason, thank you. We do not have any reports of these KPLs having any issues bad whatsoever. Although it does not sound rational, but I think they are defective. With kind regards, Michel
  8. shannong, I am afraid that I am going to get dragged into a futile, protracted, philosophical, and pedantic discussion and waste the time that can be otherwise used for development. As such, I shall ignore further comments on this topic and get back to work. I know what you want. Period. With kind regards, Michel
  9. shannong, I am sorry you are frustrated. Unfortunately "basic" is subjective and, as you can see in the forum, it has not been basic enough otherwise there would be 100s of requests by now. Just like any other company, we prioritize our development based on most important features needed. This was not one of them. As I mentioned before, this is in our requirements list and we shall have it implemented based on our priorities. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi Tony, MobiLinc Connect does not require certificates. Have you spoken to MobiLinc support? With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hello maddbomber83, Thanks so very much! And, we are on it as we speak. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hello apostolakisl, thanks so very much! Hello aweber1nj, I know this subject is a little confusing so let me see if I can explain it. Status events are generated based on change of state. Control events are generated when a person physically turns something on/off. As such, if you turn a device physically on 10 times, the status is only changed once and programs that depend on status will NOT be evaluated because the status never changed. Control events, on the other hand, cause programs that depend on them to be re-evaluated. As far as programs calling programs, it's really up to you whether or not you like using them. From an atomic operation perspective, you can consider programs without conditions as tasks/threads the execution of which does not depend on the events received and/or evaluated. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Jason, I am so very sorry to hear. Can you please go to the main page for this KPL and let me know the firmware version (usually after v.). With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hello LeeG, Thanks so very much for all your help and support. If one thinks HL does a good job of abstracting, then one would really have a hard time with ISY abstractions since - at least in the case of scenes - ISY pretty much abstracts scenes to the point that one would not have to go through tabular relationship between devices. As far as LED brightness - and thanks to LeeG - the missing piece is adding a command to turn LEDs completely ON and completely OFF. I have added this to the list of our requirements with low priority. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi Frank, You should be OK and all your programs should come in the backup. Just in case, you can right mouse click on My Programs and export it. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hi Rich, Thanks so very much. Would you be kind enough to keep us posted? With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi EricK, thanks so very much. shannong is looking for global brightness. shannong, I am not entirely certain what is your source of information/assertions. From my experience, what you say has never been the case: there are two levels both of which are interrelated; i.e. on level will impact off level and the reverse. If your source is HL, it would be great to see what HL is sending to the KPLs (docklight). The only exception is 2484SWH8 which has a global brightness regardless of on level and off level (very much like SwitchLincs). Again, if you have the traffic from HL, would love to see it. Have you tested the levels outside of programs? Each device has an LED brightness button on the main page that allows you to test the combinations. With kind regards, Michel
  18. shannong, Thank you for the feedback. We are looking into it and hopefully we'll have a fix very shortly. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Michel Kohanim replied to Steigs's topic in ISY994
Hi Steigs, Then I am not at all certain why you would have pending writes as no configuration is being changed. Is there any reason you choose Write pending writes? Do you have green 1011 icons (I know you have !). With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi Rich, Thanks so very much! May I have your permission to put this in our Wiki? Thanks again and with kind regards, Michel
  21. Michel Kohanim replied to Steigs's topic in ISY994
Hi Steigs, Do you have any programs that change scene settings for those devices for which you have ! every morning? With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi Matt, In addition to Email Customization (you can customize the subject), you can use substitution variables in your customization: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... _Variables With kind regards, Michel
  23. Michel Kohanim replied to rjbur's topic in ISY994
Hi Rich, Please send the screenshot to support@universal-devices.com. You want to try: https://your.isy.ip.address/admin . With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi Tony, You can simply install a self signed certificate. It's quite easy: page 9: http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/I ... 0Guide.pdf No. You can start by a self-signed certificate for the Server. Simply fill out the fields and then click on the Self Signed button (see the link above) You don't need to do any of this. See above. See above. Certificates are for your own security and privacy. You are welcome not to use https to access ISY but note that all the traffic is in clear text and any hacker can simply note when you are home and what you are doing. Simply, create a self-signed certificate. And, if you are still having problems, please submit a ticket (links below) and we'd be happy to help you out. With kind regards, Michel
  25. shannong, Are you talking about global brightness level or individual backlight for each button? Global brightness level is not a science and my hats off to HouseLinc engineers. All we have is: 0-7 off level and 0-15 on level per documentation. If you are trying to turn on/off an individual scene button, it has to be part of a scene as a responder. With kind regards, Michel
