  1. Hi chago2013, Would you please open Event Viewer, change the level to 3, and then click on the Set Options button? Once that's done, please post back. I checked here and basically what's checked is what is expected based on the API docs. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi shannong, All very valid points and all noted. We did actually hire a professional technical writer who helped us with the updated User Guide and cleaned up a little bit of the Wiki. This said, and as you noted, there are too many old articles that we really do not know what to do with since a) they provide useful information but they lack the context of the present capabilities. The major obstacle is that ISY is a product in a constant flux; we just have to figure out a better way of handling the flux! Thanks so very much for your feedback and with kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Teken, Without parenthesis you have three conditions as follows 1. Time is 9:00 AM OR 2. Time is 6:00 PM AND 3. Variable conditions This means that the only time this program is false is when: It's neither 9:00 AM, nor 6:00 PM and all variable conditions are false. So, conversely, you would get an email at 9:00 AM and 6:00 PM regardless of the condition of the variables. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hello KHouse, There seems to be DNS issues. If you have configured your ISY with a static IP address, may I humbly suggest: 1. Either set the DNS to 8.8.4.4 OR 2. Revert to using DHCP as it seems your router is not allowing for DNS relay With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi bbotts77, I am so very sorry to hear about the problems you have been having. The problem is that the certificate for the Java application that creates certificates for ISY99 is expired and thus all the issues. Unfortunately there are only two remedies: 1. Use the default (factory reset did that for you) 2. Upgrade to 994 I am so very sorry. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hello dslocum, Please do be kind enough to submit a ticket (links below) and we'd be delighted to help you out. From what I see, I think the problem is the firewall/anti virus on your computer and most probably AVAST. Just for your reference: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... r_Your_ISY Again, we are very eager to help you out. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi Ltek, A little bit offensive. Analogy: I want to marry someone with your head but not with your body. Umm, Ltek, have you even looked at ISY's out of the box (i.e. native/free) HTML/AJAX UI? It's a little disconcerting to note that not enough research has been done before making assertions that are simply not true. For your reference: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... ser_Screen ... under Programs. With kind regards, Michel
  8. shannong, Please note that our tech support is available to walk you through some of these concepts. In case you are interested, simply create a ticket and we'll schedule a call most convenient for you to give you some pointers. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi chago2013, It's quite possible as we basically took those out of the documentation. Perhaps the labeling is a little misleading: When you have something checked, then the first statement applies. When something is unchecked, then the statement in RED applies. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi whlatimer, It all depends on your utility provider. If you are in CA and in SCE or PG&E territory, you can use our ISY994i ZS Series to join the meter and get meter information into ISY and in turn use them in your programs. And, yes, you can upgrade your 994i to ZS series by purchasing the High Powered Zigbee Smart Grid (SEP1.1) Radio. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi Wilbert, I do not think there ever was a fix. If you wish, you can send the exact symptoms to support@universal-devices.com and I'll forward to SmartHome. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hello f.demello, I am so very sorry to hear. Can you please let me know your PLM's firmware version (Tools | Diagnostics | PLM Info/Status)? With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Joe, Thank you, very much appreciated, and posts like yours make it ALL worthwhile. Thanks again and with kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi Steve, Your router does not support UPnP (which is a good thing). Instead of doing File | Enable Internet Access, you might want to try: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... PnP_Router With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi mbaccrain, Perhaps you might find this useful: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... und_CAV6.6 With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hi Teken, thanks so very much. It does mean a LOT to all of us here. shannong, you are welcome! With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi chago2013, Two cases: 1. ISY didn't hear status update message (perhaps the PLM does not have the link) ... do you get status updates anyway? 2. IOLinc in trigger reverse returns the wrong status for the relay With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi chago2013, QueryAll program is precisely because of what you mentioned: synch ISY's status to those of devices. But, in most cases, this is not even necessary if you have good communications and if all your devices are reporting back to ISY. This said, it's a good safeguard for scenarios such as PLM losing its links or communication errors (is Responding/is not Responding). With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi madcodger, Already implemented and will be in 4.1.2. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi D2HnGA, Thank you. Is there anything in common between those two KPLs? Do they get really hot? What's the type of load they are controlling? With kind regards, Michel
  21. Michel Kohanim replied to sef9721's topic in ISY994
Hi sef9721, If you have configured your ISY with a static IP address, in all likelihood your router does not like DNS relay. What you might want to try for DNS is 8.8.4.4. Or, if you don't mind, revert to DHCP and use DHCP reservations instead of configuration using static IP address. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi Vinnie, Please send an email to support@universal-devices.com and we'll send you the instructions. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hello D2HnGA, I am so very sorry to hear. The last entries in the event log are quite troubling: Wed 12/18/2013 06:05:12 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 18 56 3D 0F 2B DF Wed 12/18/2013 06:05:21 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 18 56 3D 0F 28 0D Wed 12/18/2013 06:05:30 PM : [iNST-TX-I1 ] 02 62 18 56 3D 0F 28 0D It basically means that the PLM is NOT responding. How many of your devices have already been restored? Did you follow the instructions here? http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... _.28PLM.29 Do you have a good backup? With kind regards,
  24. Hi jam583, Yes, but you need to be a little more specific as far as what you consider a "meter"? If your utility provider has installed Smart Meters and if they allow you to connect to it, then ISY994i ZS Series provides you with meter information: https://www.universal-devices.com/utili ... zs-series/ On the other hand, if you don't have a Smart Meter, then you could use ISY994i Z Series in conjunction with Brultech meters (with CTs): https://www.universal-devices.com/comme ... -z-series/ And, finally, with the introduction of our Z-Wave solution, in the near future, you could use ISY994i Series + Z-Wave to get energy information from Z-Wave energy aware devices. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi Vinnie, That's great. Nothing else needs to be done unless you keep seeing the 80000 errors. With kind regards, Michel
