  1. Hi Steve, Do you have the same problem locally? If your programs do not work, then the problem is NOT network related. Have you looked at your error log? In short, what you are experiencing is NOT normal. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi CaptFisk, That's 100% normal because you are using a self-signed certificate. Please do make sure that the certificate is indeed for ISY. Even this is more secure than accessing ISY on port 80. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi rohan208, Did you try again and did it work? With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi rohan208, This basically means that your computer cannot access http://www.universal-devices.com ... this is where the Admin Console checks to see whether or not there are any firmware updates available for your ISY. What's your UI version (Help | About)? With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi captfisk, This is related to the firewall software on your computer. What you need to do is to make sure both of your ISY's are included in the trusted zone or exclusion list in your firewall software. If you are using HTTP to access ISY, I strongly recommend changing it to HTTPS: it's more secure and most firewall software are more lenient with https traffic. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi oronomus, What you outlined is the correct procedure. To power cycle ISY, unplug the power cord from it and then plug it back in. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello mountainman3520, First of all - and as you suggested - please do NOT forward to port 80. This will expose ISY's traffic to hackers. For https, please do make sure you have the latest Java (that supports TLS) and then: 1. Clear your Java cache 2. Go to http://isy.universal-devices.com/admin.jnlp ... this will install the Admin Console icon on your desktop 3. Once you get the ISY Finder dialog, then click on the Add button and then enter the remote URL (https) for your ISY With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi Steve, Questions: 1. Are you accessing ISY using HTTPS? 2. If so, what's your Key Strength? With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi johnnyt, Not even SDIO is going to help since the problem is NOT bandwidth as each file is less than 1K. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi hbsh01, File | Enable Internet Access does not have any bearings on this issue UNLESS you have recently changed your router. You can certainly use 99 in the office since most of these issues are related to UPnP media server/streaming. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi gregmac, There are many variables at play here: 1. Making sure IRLinc TX is indeed capable of storing and repeating the IR commands necessary for your LED strips 2. You have the latest shipping versions of IRLinc TX 3. The distance/noise considerations between IRLinc TX and the LED I would start with #1 and then go from there. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi johnnyt, Throwing more CPUs will not at all help with INSTEON communications which MUST be serialized and tracked. To make matters more interesting, INSTEON does not have a transaction ID so, for every request, we literally have to jump through hoops to make sure the response is actually the response to the command sent. GUI load/etc., unless you are using HTTPS, I think additional CPU resources is not going to help at all since the bottleneck is the file system read operations (one file at a time). With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Alan, Aha, good point. Yes, of course; programs are in XML so I suppose any type of XSLT transform can make them pretty. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi hbsh01, Thank you. I suspect this is related to UPnP traffic. The first thing I recommend is upgrade to 3.3.10 and then, if that doesn't fix the issue, move on to 4.0.5 on your 994. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi Ralf, What's your operating system? I think we could fix the issue most efficiently/expeditiously if you submitted a ticket (links below). With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello mountainman3520, With all due respect, I think the best way of sharing large programs is zipped version so that they can be imported into another ISY and examined. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hello JimsEvilTwin, 1. Please note that if either the Subject or Body evaluate to then a notification will not be sent 2. Please check your error log for -50000x errors ... list of SMTP errors are here: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... MTP_Errors With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hello hsbh01, That's not good. As far as I know, a red/orange light on the PLM means error. Can you paste the last 10 minutes of our log and error log before restarting ISY? With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi iostream212, Please do not factory reset! First of all, I am not sure why the Test button would not work in Network Resources. The only thing I can think of is that you are not using the correct version of UI or that there's some Java cache issues. Before doing anything else, turn the Event Viewer on, change the level to 3, and then please run a few of the programs. Once that's done, either save the contents and send to support@universal-devices.com OR paste it to a reply to this post. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi iostream212, Without more information as far as what these programs actually do, it would be quite difficult to figure out the delay. Have you tried looking at that last runtime to see when the programs actually ran? i.e. is it that it now takes longer for programs to be activated OR that the problem is related to the Action Section of the programs? With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi johnnyt, Thanks so very much for the details. I must say that above and beyond the GUI load issue, none of the other scenarios seem to be that resource intensive. For instance, getting socket open error while IOLinc program runs is probably not related to resources but things that should NOT be happening such has tight loops. In any case, you are welcome to try but knowing a little about your configuration I think you are going to have more problems than solving them. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi Alan, Quite possible. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi johnnyt, I am not sure why you would even entertain this idea as it would make your system much more complex to understand and manage. Is the main reason the load times? With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi Alan, Something IS trying to access ISY. What you might want to do is to telnet to ISY, and issue DON at the prompt. At the least we'll hopefully see the URL they are trying access. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hi George, The transition seems to be by the end of the year. With kind regards, Michel
