Hi Alan, Aha, good point. Yes, of course; programs are in XML so I suppose any type of XSLT transform can make them pretty. With kind regards, Michel

Hi hbsh01, Thank you. I suspect this is related to UPnP traffic. The first thing I recommend is upgrade to 3.3.10 and then, if that doesn't fix the issue, move on to 4.0.5 on your 994. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Ralf, What's your operating system? I think we could fix the issue most efficiently/expeditiously if you submitted a ticket (links below). With kind regards, Michel

Hello mountainman3520, With all due respect, I think the best way of sharing large programs is zipped version so that they can be imported into another ISY and examined. With kind regards, Michel

Help? v.4.0.5 Email notifications inconsistent
Michel Kohanim replied to JimsEvilTwin's topic in ISY994
Hello JimsEvilTwin, 1. Please note that if either the Subject or Body evaluate to then a notification will not be sent 2. Please check your error log for -50000x errors ... list of SMTP errors are here: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... MTP_Errors With kind regards, Michel -
Hello hsbh01, That's not good. As far as I know, a red/orange light on the PLM means error. Can you paste the last 10 minutes of our log and error log before restarting ISY? With kind regards, Michel

Hi iostream212, Please do not factory reset! First of all, I am not sure why the Test button would not work in Network Resources. The only thing I can think of is that you are not using the correct version of UI or that there's some Java cache issues. Before doing anything else, turn the Event Viewer on, change the level to 3, and then please run a few of the programs. Once that's done, either save the contents and send to support@universal-devices.com OR paste it to a reply to this post. With kind regards, Michel

Hi iostream212, Without more information as far as what these programs actually do, it would be quite difficult to figure out the delay. Have you tried looking at that last runtime to see when the programs actually ran? i.e. is it that it now takes longer for programs to be activated OR that the problem is related to the Action Section of the programs? With kind regards, Michel

Hi johnnyt, Thanks so very much for the details. I must say that above and beyond the GUI load issue, none of the other scenarios seem to be that resource intensive. For instance, getting socket open error while IOLinc program runs is probably not related to resources but things that should NOT be happening such has tight loops. In any case, you are welcome to try but knowing a little about your configuration I think you are going to have more problems than solving them. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Alan, Quite possible. With kind regards, Michel

Hi johnnyt, I am not sure why you would even entertain this idea as it would make your system much more complex to understand and manage. Is the main reason the load times? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Alan, Something IS trying to access ISY. What you might want to do is to telnet to ISY, and issue DON at the prompt. At the least we'll hopefully see the URL they are trying access. With kind regards, Michel

Hi George, The transition seems to be by the end of the year. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Simon, If you are getting the correct information about the certificate, then the problem is the key and or signature. Currently, ISY can only handle up to 2048 bit RSA keys with SHA1 signatures. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Mike, That's quite odd. I suspect that it might have to do with caching in RSS vs. Real time in the commercial APIs. But, then again, pure speculation! With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Simon, If you have a wildcard certificate, you must import it in PKCS12 format. Is that what you did? With kind regards, Michel

Hi mountainman3520, My pleasure. I will have to defer the answer to these questions to higher authorities! With kind regards, Michel

Hi Harold, Please try using httpS instead of http to access ISY. And, if you still have problems, please do be kind enough to contact our tech support (links below) and we'll be delighted to schedule a call and walk through the solution with you. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Rich, No. Sorry. With kind regards, Michel

Hello mountainman3520, Thanks so very much for the details. Quite enlightening! On Venstar thermostats (depending on the firmware) ISY can set the time and there's a command for it in the programs. On 2441TH, unfortunately, such facility does not exist. I am so very sorry. With kind regards, Michel

Suggestion for a thread/tutorial/Wiki enhancement
Michel Kohanim replied to Harold's topic in ISY994
Hi Harold, first of all, thanks so very much for the feedback. It's quite helpful. Please find my comments below. Have you checked out our recent version of the User Guide ( http://www.universal-devices.com/docs/p ... 0%20a2.pdf )? We did in fact spend considerable amount of resources on quite a professional tech writer/editor to whom I am very grateful. Does the user guide need more refinement? If so, more details of where would be quite appreciated. Furthermore we did create a few short Video tutorial: http://wiki.universal-devices.com This I agree with and we shall work on it. Heck, I have more problems with my MAC/Java than I have ever had with any Windows version. As such, yes, it's needed. Forums or Wiki? This is more than a burden. This is basically not possible based on our resources and that's why we do make EVERY effort to make the User Guide to be the complete guide you need for your specific version. Wiki is organic and it grows that way. User Guide is the most important document and then augmented by our support team, Wiki, and forums. I am not sure I agree with the Java part since, basically, you should NOT know anything about Java. As far as diagrams, yes, I agree. Again, a) User Guide Contact Support c) and d) use Forum/Wiki to augment None. I do not set any of those parameters myself! With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Harold, Great! Do you happen to have any firewall software? If so, you might want to try accessing ISY using httpS (instead of http) OR add ISY's IP address to the exclusion list/trusted zone in your firewall. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Galun, Do you have status of any of your device show up in the Admin Console? Please check your error log for WeatherBug related errors and let us know. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Harold, Please try javaws.exe . I am just quite shocked that Java Web Start is not used by default. If you go to Control Panel | Java | Security, is the "Enable Java content in browser" checkbox enabled? If you are still having problems, please do not hesitate to submit a ticket (below) and we'll login to your computer and figure out what's going on. With kind regards, Michel

Best Way to get the ISY to Interact with an Analog Input
Michel Kohanim replied to PLCGuy's topic in ISY994
apostolakisl, I can only refer you to: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... #Operators . Other functions are planned and we are working on them as we speak. Autonow, Welcome to our world! Yes, Zigbee is excellent for I/O ... the only problem is that not all Zigbee devices are interoperable. As such, ISY only supports a few. With kind regards, Michel
