Considering upgrading from an ISY-99i to an ISY-994i
Michel Kohanim replied to ahwman's topic in ISY994
Hi Chuck, Thanks so very much for the consideration! Yes (994 comes with its own power supply just in case) Yes you can and it's as easy as you have described it. The precise instructions are here: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... r_ISY-994i Not yet! With kind regards, Michel -
Hi jmed999, What exactly is the error? Also, the last time we looked at your logs, it seems you had a lot of activity from other devices. You were going to clear the error log, and then send it to us once you got more of these errors. With kind regards, Michel

How do I generate and install a self signed certificate
Michel Kohanim replied to mitch236's topic in ISY994
Hi sk8er02, GoDaddy allows two different certificate issuers. One is GoDaddy and the other is Starfield. Please choose Starfield instead of GoDaddy as the issuer and retry. With kind regards, Michel -

Hello everyone, Just an update: Weatherbug is moving all their APIs and servers to Earth Networks and thus we might have to go through another set of beta testing just for the new services. Hopefully the new services are more reliable since, now, their services are based on SLAs based on Transactions per second. With kind regards, Michel

Hello backinthelab, My pleasure ... we do not at all subscribe to "big data" and analytics. With kind regards, Michel

Hi David, It would be best if you sent an email to support@universal-devices.com. Something is not right: at the minimum, you should see a list of PANs of which yours is one. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Michael, yes possible. Just got an email from WeatherBug (now Earth Networks). They are changing all their servers/APIs and making them more SLA/transaction based oriented. Hopefully we'll come out of this one unscathed! With kind regards, Michel

Hi David, Did you follow all the instructions? Do you see the PAN ID? What is the length of the install code you used? With kind regards, Michel

How do I generate and install a self signed certificate
Michel Kohanim replied to mitch236's topic in ISY994
Hi paauto, No, it should be your actual dynamic dns domain. The state/locality/email/etc. do not really cause certificate errors. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Tim, Please note that if either the subject or body is empty then notification will not be sent. With kind regards, Michel

Michel Kohanim replied to mitch236's topic in ISY994
Hi paauto, The domain name (or IP address) for ISY must be identical to the common name that you have used for the certificate. If not, then regardless of what you do with the trust center in your computer, you will get that warning. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Michael, The latter would make much more sense since the former was discussed and we were still liable for $$$ licensing fees and making sure the polling intervals are not less than 5 minutes, etc. etc. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Michael, This is precisely why every time we try to add anonymous, it immediately becomes a huge requirement to revamp authorization in ISY. Adding a simply boolean at /USER/WEB is easy. Adding a password file for each directory requires investigation of what we ultimately want to do. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Elburn, That's why the first requirement was: a. Both ISYs should be on the same network You have two choices: 1. You can run RJ45 wire from your router in 1 to a switch in 2 2. You can use WiFi access points in bridge mode. This means that your access point in 2 MUST BE able to see your router in 1 With kind regards, Michel

Hi btWix, Got it. This is much easier ... thank you. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Alan, You could do that with PRO series. This said, this will make ISY not accessible to any device that can do https BUT not client authentication. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Elburn and Alan, Yes, that's what I mean: ISY1->Network Resource->REST->ISY2 ISY2->Network Resource->REST->ISY1 With kind regards, Michel

Sorry: With kind regards, Michel
