  1. Hi Andy, There are two "before"s here: One is the original issue where FileDialog would not show the contents of directories. Then there was the recent "before" when we moved to JFileChooser which caused the whole Admin Console to hang. If the former, then that's intended since we could not fix the hang issue and reverted to original FileDialog. If the latter, then - since we are dealing with MAC - you may have to reboot your computer for cache to be cleared. With kind regards, Michel
  2. LeeG, Thanks so very much for the clarification. So, ISY will never know the source of events in case there are more than one sensors? With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi Scott, I am so very sorry to hear and apologies for tardy reply. If you have setup your ISY with a static IP address, please go back to DHCP and retry. Otherwise, you might want to try the following public DNS servers instead: 8.8.4.4 8.8.8.8 With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hello all, I am happy to announce the availability of our 4.0.4 RC1! For a list of changes, please take a look at this post. IMPORTANT If you have not already done so, please upgrade your Java to the latest release (1.7.21) IMPORTANT We will no longer have any firmware updates for ISY99i Series Announcement . Know Issues - None Things to test: - MAC File Chooser - Networking - Irrigation - SwitchLinc button press issues *Please note that Safari does not support SSL session reuse and thus might take an exorbitant amount of time to communicate with ISY. As such, when using 2048 bit SSL, it's best not to use Safari. *For a discussion of variables, please look at our Program Variables Wiki. Instructions: 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY). If you are backing up a 3.1.6 system, please note that the backups are corrupted. If you have a backup from prior releases, you should be OK 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 994i Series including Z-Wave Support ISY 994i Z & ZS Series (Zigbee) 3. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 4. Choose the file saved in step 2 5. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache 6. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. http://your.isy.ipaddress (or http://isy if you have Windows) - Java Applet b. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application c. http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/4.0.4 - Java Applet d. http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/4.0.4/admin.jnlp - Java application MAC 10.6.x Users: e. http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/4.0.4/admin16.jnlp Dashboard - http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/4. ... board.jnlp 8. Please backup your system again Thanks and with kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi aaronburnlab, I am so very sorry ... the best thing to do would be to setup a conference call such that I can participate in the call as well. Would that be possible? Or, if you wish, we can setup your ISY for remote access and then I can call SCE on my own. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi dss, Yes, each Smoke Sensor does indeed have a low battery node. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hi blaine, LeeG is 100% correct. Also, I am not sure I understand why you would have subscriptions for every device. ISY is not that granular to let you subscribe to certain devices only. There's already a RTI driver for ISY. Have you tried it? With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi tritip.films, Yes, 4.0.4 to be released tomorrow. We are reverting to the original FileDialog. With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hello adobo, I am so very sorry to hear. It seems that your MAC is not finding the ISY. So, the first order of business is to find ISY. Two methods: 1. in terminal window, type: arp -a ... look for any line with MAC address 00:21:b9; this is an ISY 2. If you have normal router (and not Airport), then you can find ISY by checking DHCP client list. ISY is identified by ISY994-EMS If you have setup your ISY with a static IP address, then please use that address in your browser. With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi JPStokes, Yes, you can: http://www.universal-devices.com/isy-developers ... checkout WSDK and C# examples. With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hi jmed999, They should be the same as long as nothing had happened between 12:00 AM and when you woke up. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi jmed999, If the thermostat reports once in a while, then it's signal issue (or thermostat issue). If it never reports, then it might be the case that the PLM does not have links to it. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi Illusion, You can indeed upgrade and use: http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i//admin16.jnlp ... this is a special URL for MAC 10.6.x users. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi Joe, Unfortunately not. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Thanks Jeff, I verified that mine (v.93) works fine and it goes to program auto (Program On at the top and then Heat/Cool set points on the right). So, I will have to forward this issue to SmartHome to see if they know anything about it. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello RLIKWARTZ, Please change the polling interval to 10 seconds, open Event Viewer, change Level to 3, and then observe the status of WeatherBug module. What does it say? Once you are done, make sure to revert the polling interval to whatever it was before. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hi jmed999, If the device type being returned is 00.00 (as indicated by LeeG), then there's really nothing we can do as ISY thinks this is a ControLinc. The other question is why your other thermostat is no longer reporting temp? Was the PLM replaced? Do you have any links in the PLM? With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi jmed999, Yes, that's correct. With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi Guys, Very strange indeed. Can you please give the firmware version as reported by ISY? With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi nowandthen, Got your email. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi Clarence, No, only one. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi Clarence, You are very correct. Please note that you are going to get KWH. You just won't know in which tier you are. But, again, you will have to ask SCE and perhaps they have a different program in your area. Also, you will get a $25.00 rebate for ISY + $25.00 rebate for a thermostat. In addition, they have a program called Save Power a Day which gives you more rebates. So, while taking everything into consideration, please note that with all the rebates, your whole ISY might end up being free (+ more). With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hi nowandthen, Do you have any RF devices? If so, it's quite possible if you do NOT have PRO. Also, if you have any INSTEON thermostats, remove the dongle and retry. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi Candide, Yes, we are working on a more generic way of publishing events to ISY. Hi doubleohwhatever, Thanks for the update. That's quite strange ... changing stations should not matter. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello C Martin, apologies for tardy reply! Yes. But, not all Zigbees are the same. For Smart Meter, you need Zigbee SEP (i.e ZS Series). For regular Zigbee you need Zigbee PRO (i.e. Z Series). These two are NOT compatible nor are they interoperable You need to purchase the following from our Storefront: High Powered Zigbee Smart Grid (SEP1.1) Radio http://www.universal-devices.com/utilit ... zs-series/ Yes, but you I can tell you that from my discussions/testing with SCE, you are not going to get tiered consumption/energy usage. You will get Prices but they are not tiered based. All you need is the Zigbee Smart Grid radio and your ISY will be converted to ISY994i ZS With kind regards, Michel
