Hi Drosen, I think I know what the issue is: we removed UPnP subscriptions in 4.0.x version because of security concerns. If you know the author of ISY plugin for EventGhost, please have them contact us. With kind regards, Michel

ISY 994ir Pro with ZWave Kit and Brultech ECM-1240
Michel Kohanim replied to hmatos's topic in ISY994
Hi hmatos, 1. If you can use ECM1240 (not GEM), and 2. If you do not mind not having nodes representing your channels, and 3. If you have the Ethernet version of ECM1240, then You can use Brultech Energy Module (Help | Purchase Modules), go to Configuration | Electricity | Modules, and configure ISY to poll your ECM every few minutes If you want nodes representing channels OR if you want to use GEM, then – and unfortunately so – you would need two ISYs. With kind regards, Michel -
Xathros, yes, indeed!!! Good catch. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Dave, I am sorry I do not have EventGhost ... but can you still get feedback from devices? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Steven, I am so very sorry ... would you please check your junkmail. An email was sent to you on Tue 4/16/2013 1:50 PM. In short, we do need to be able to communicate via email since will have to send you an invoice. If you don't find anything in your junk email, please: 1. Make sure you send an email to sales@universal-devices.com 2. If you don't get a reply back, please submit a ticket (link below) and make sure it has your phone number With kind regards, Michel

Hello smbaker, Unfortunately no on both counts. 1. Diagnostics is a feature for which we have plans ... 2. If you like your device to HL, ISY would not know anything about it and thus it might get out of synch and all sorts of issues such as phantom links With kind regards, Michel

Hi Alan, You should! With kind regards, Michel

Hi All, just wanted to let everyone know that with Walt's persistence and Vicky's dedication, we figured out the problem and are now successfully communicating with PG&E meters. The problem was that PG&E uses a 24 byte install code (not 32). Hi Gene, thanks so very much for the vote of confidence! GuitarBuilder, thanks for the information. We did apply but they want the output of test with SSN Test Harness. SSN Test Harness is over $10K ... above and beyond the exorbitant amount for a test harness, at the moment, it does not make any sense for us to pay $10K just to get a test harness for something that's supposed to be a standard (SEP) and for which ISY is certified. Analogy: if you want to work with Time Warner cable, you have to test your WiFi router with a WiFi Test Harness from Time Warner. With kind regards, Michel

Hello phawtrey, Thanks for the update. That really should NOT be the case since if that were true, then all ISYs would fail after a power failure. As such - and just for future peace of mind - I think it would be best to get a replacement PLM or at least test with a different cable. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Gene, Just got a meeting notice from SDG&E HAN Validation team. There's hope! I'll keep you posted with any worthy news. Thank you for your optimism! With kind regards, Michel

Hi Gene, Also, are you certain that your old ISY has the same IP address/network/URL as the new one? With kind regards, Michel

Missing button from 8 button keypad, backup issue on file
Michel Kohanim replied to binaryman's topic in ISY994
Hi binaryman, Good point. Telnet to ISY and at the command prompt, type: RF /CONF/2.UND Once this is removed, then you can remove the KPL from ISY in Admin Console. With kind regards, Michel -
Missing button from 8 button keypad, backup issue on file
Michel Kohanim replied to binaryman's topic in ISY994
Hi binaryman, The only thing I can recommend is right mouse click and choose | Group Devices. If that does not show the button under the main, then you might have no choice but to remove that KPL and then add it back. With kind regards, Michel -
Missing button from 8 button keypad, backup issue on file
Michel Kohanim replied to binaryman's topic in ISY994
binaryman, If it's 2.und, that might explain why a button is missing. This said, it's quite unlikely that something like this would happen on its own unless you have a corrupt file system/SD Card. If you have a good backup, the first thing I recommend is restoring your backup. With kind regards, Michel -
ISY backup fails - Could Not Retrieve File /CONF/HW.CFG
Michel Kohanim replied to spaterson76's topic in ISY994
Hi binaryman, We don't have any files without an extension. So, what is the file extension? With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Gene, Thanks so very much and I am so very sorry to hear. I just sent them an email requesting clarification. In the meantime, we would be delighted to send you a refund for your unit as it's clearly being prevented from connecting to SDG&E. If you so choose to do so, please send your contact information to sales@unviersal-devices.com and a link to this post. Again, I am so very sorry to hear. With kind regards, Michel

Release 4.0.3 Beta Is Now Available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Hi Walt, I am at a loss and really do not know what else to suggest. We might have to upgrade our MAC to 10.8.3 and see whether or not we can reproduce it. I am so very sorry. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi HC, I think your ISY26 may have had a corrupt file system and the corruption is being transferred to your 994. If I were you, I would factory reset 994 and start from scratch as I do not trust your 26's backup. With kind regards, Michel

Release 4.0.3 Beta Is Now Available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Hi Walt, I am so very sorry to hear. Please do make sure: 1. Java 1.6 is actually uninstalled. In terminal, type: java -version . If you see Java 1.6, then you will have to remove it 2. Clear your Java cache 3. Retry With kind regards, Michel -
Mr. Lawrence, By Gate Keeper I mean System Preferences | Privacy | Firewall. Please note that turning OFF firewall does not really work. So, what you need to do is to turn it ON, go to Advanced Option, remove all references to Java. Go back to ISY and retry. This should force Gate Keeper to ask you whether or not you want to let Java access your network. If all else fails, I guess we will have to use httpS instead of http. But, in majority of cases, if https goes through but http does not, then it's pointing to firewall blocking ISY from publishing events to the computer. With kind regards, Michel

Hello Mr. Lawrence, I am so very sorry to hear. At this point, I am suspecting that GateKeeper is blocking ISY for some reason. Would you please click on the 99i Admin Console icon on your desktop, click on the Add button, and in the URL box enter https://your-isy's-ip-address ... in short, we want to use https instead of http and see if that make any difference. If it does, then we'll have to look at GateKeeper and make sure it's not blocking ISY. Alternatively, you can try changing the IP address for your ISY. In this case - and if and only if you have setup GateKeeper to notify you of applications trying to access networking - you will be notified whether or not you wish to allow access. Please accept. With kind regards, Michel

Hello phawtrey, I am so very sorry to hear. I suspect you have a 994i Z series. In short, the problem is that ISY cannot communicate with the PLM the causes of which are: 1. The cable between ISY and PLM is defective. Please try a different cable 2. The PLM is defective ... (majority of cases) 3. ISY is defective ... ( So, I would start with a new cable and then if that does not work, I would order a new PLM. With kind regards, Michel

Hi markarmer, I am so very sorry to hear. I do agree that there should always be other safeguards for something so important. jmed999 is semi correct: supporting different weather stations is an extremely huge task. Of course, we would certainly entertain it if there's more demand. With kind regards, Michel
