  1. Hi GeneInSoCal, This is great information. Thanks so very much for sharing it. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi gwarthur, Do you get status updates from your other INSTEON devices? If you do not see any events whatsoever, then I suspect that you may have too many links in your PLM. Can you please go to Tools | Diagnostics | Show PLM Links Table, click on the Start button, wait, and when completed, click on the Count button. How many links do you have? If more than 800, then you might want to try File | Restore Modem (PLM) ... this might help as long as you don't really have that very many links. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hi bruinlax, Yes, for sure. In addition, ISY994i ZS has been fully tested and vetted by SCE and thus you will be eligible for the rebates. You might want to contact them and see if you qualify for the $50.00 rebate if and only if you have an INSTEON communicating thermostat in addition to ISY. Furthermore, once you get the unit, please do ensure you choose SCE as the provider so that you can get realtime pricing information as well. And, finally, please review Save Power Day program for additional rebates. Please send an email to sales@universal-devices.com for upgrading instructions. With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi timster, It all depends on your KPL version and ISY firmware version. We know for a fact that backlight cannot be adjusted on older KPLs. And, there were a few beta releases where ISY had a problem adjusting them. So, please do make sure you are on an official ISY firmware release. Also, if your KPL is more than 3 years old, then and in all likelihood, backlight cannot be adjusted. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hi gwarthur, It should work as is. Do you see any events in the event viewer? With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi spensester, Do you have any other INSTEON devices and, if so, do they report their status? Or, when you query the thermostat, does the status get update on the Admin Console? With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello bradhart82, I am so very sorry to hear. Please do be kind enough to try a different cable between the PLM and ISY, reboot ISY. If you get Safe Mode dialog when logging in, then - and quite unfortunately so - your PLM is defective. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hello icerabbit, You can hide any of the nodes in the default interface: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... ser_Screen With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hi DT, No as we cannot reproduce it. Would you please submit a ticket so that we can login to your computer and see what's going on? With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hello wrj0, Noted and in addition to Z-Wave, we are expanding the framework to support these types of integration more readily/easily. With kind regards, Michel
  11. First of all, I have to thank LeeG again for great detective work. Secondly, we never remote in to any ISY unless the customer is present on the other end. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi Baja, Thank you. You have major network issues especially DNS. My recommendations: 1. Clear your Error Log 2. Reboot your router and let the unit run for a couple of more days 3. Please post back the Error Log If your ISY is connected through a switch, please try connecting directly to your router. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Jcoulter, Neither. It should work as before. Please do make sure you use the station id for you backyard station. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hi Baja, Can you please send your Tools | Error Log to support@universal-devices.com? With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hi Bill, ISY is busy doing something so we just have to figure out what. Again, I think it would be best to contact our tech support so that we can schedule a remote session and see what's going on. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello smbaker, Sincere apologies for tardy reply .... Finder requires UDP access to find ISY and most firewall software block UDP/UPnP. As such - and as you noted - you can click on the Add button and then add the URL for ISY. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hello smbaker, 1. No hope for Java-less ... we cannot have different applications for different platforms and, thus far, Java has proven to be the only semi-platform independent environment out there 2. (As per instructions in the PDF) You need to use the Dashboard to install certificates. You can find dashboard at http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/dashboard.jnlp With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hi Bill, This is very odd. Can you please choose a device and then turn it on/off and let me know whether or not its status changes in the Admin Console? With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi Bill, Please open the Event Viewer, change the Level to 3, and let me know if you have any traffic. Also, you might want to go to Program Summary tab and see which programs are running and stop them one a time and see if the traffic stops in the Event Viewer. At the moment I suspect you have a program that's in a tight loop. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi IM, Thanks so very much for your thorough response. Indeed quite appreciated. JMC, I am not sure what to say about DNS errors. All I can say is that if you have Cisco/Linksys, Juniper, or any flavor of DD-WRT, please reboot your router and see if that helps. If not, you might want to configure ISY with a static IP address and then use either of the following DNSs: 8.8.4.4 8.8.8.8 With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi Bill, Please click the +++ button on the toolbar to expand the tree and then look for nodes with green 1011 icons. If some exist, please right mouse click | Write updates to device. If you don't have any green 1011 icons, please clear your java cache and then go to: http://isy.universal-devices.com/99i/admin.jnlp . With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi i814u2, No worries at all. It's excellent that we at least know that there's a problem regardless of whether or not there's a resolution. Thanks so very much for all your feedback. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Mike, 12 inches of rain yesterday does not equal to 12 inches of water UNLESS your absorption factor is 100%. Here's the link to the list of errors: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... r_Messages The main problem seems to be that ISY has a hard time getting out to the Internet. Gary, etoYesterday is calculated based on Evapotranspiration Algorithm developed by UN. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hello i814u2, We use java.awt.FileDialog class for all File/Folder activities. This is a native Java class and we have not customized it at all. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello ro345, Thanks so very much. This is great ... so, at least we know that problem can be resolved by using https. So, now we (UDI) have to figure out the difference between http and https. With kind regards, Michel
