Release 4.0.2 Beta Is Now Available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Hi i814u2, No, this is perfect and I do not see any exceptions. It's quite odd ... With kind regards, Michel -
Hi Mike, Here's the code and I let you decide whether or not it meets your requirements: waterDeficitYesterday = etoYesterday-(rainToday*absorptionFactor); irrigationRequirement += waterDeficitYesterday; if (irrigationRequirement irrigationRequirement = 0.00; I am not at all certain that a negative irrigation requirement makes any sense. In all cases: 1. You have networking issues that have to be resolved 2. If this module does not meet your requirements, we'd be delighted to deactivate it and give you a full refund With kind regards, Michel

wrj0, Thanks so very much for the update. It would still be interesting to know what actually caused the issue. Is there a list of things that were fixed in the new firmware? The reason I ask is that lately we have had so many router related issues especially with exotic things like DD-WRT, Juniper, and Cisco ASxxx. Rebooting the router would fix the issue but only temporarily ... perhaps there's a common thread through all or perhaps I am just grasping at straws. Anyway, thanks again for posting back. With kind regards, Michel

Hello ro345, This is excellent (no pun intended) ... perhaps you can help us troubleshoot as a) you are using non-windows and it happens semi-consistently. Would you be kind enough to try accessing ISY using httpS instead of http and let me know whether or not you have the same issues? With kind regards, Michel

Hi Walt, I would love to login to your computer (with your permission of course) and go through the activation. I suspect one of the steps is not being followed. If you'd like, please send me an email (support@universal-devices.com) and we'll schedule a call/remote session. Also, please upgrade to 4.0.2 as it has a more streamlined way of finding the meter. With kind regards, Michel

How do I generate and install a self signed certificate
Michel Kohanim replied to mitch236's topic in ISY994
Hi mitch236, Self-signed certificates are fine. The only drawback is that your browser does not recognize the authority (in this case "you") who signed the certificate and thus gives you those warnings. With kind regards, Michel -
Hi JimsEvilTwin, As far as I know Google Voice does not support SMS via email. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Mike, Actually LeeG is 100% correct: the value can never be negative not even internally. If negative, it's immediately set back to zero. With kind regards, Michel

Release 4.0.2 Beta Is Now Available
Michel Kohanim replied to Michel Kohanim's topic in Previous Releases
Hi, Bug in 4.0.2 and fixed in our next release You are correct: the purpose of the Finder is to find ISY. This said, depending on your firewall (which may block UDP packets), ISY may not be found and thus the reason for the Add button so that you can enter the URL for ISY manually. These mean that ISY lost communication with a subscriber with ID 56 and 57. This means that ISY could not connect to WeatherBug Those values are only used for OpenADR and SEP. No other calculations are done based on those. In any case, after you edit a cell, you have to press the Enter button for the value to hold Which "files" are you referring to? Need more information as to which "folders" are you referring to. Those under programs or the device tree? Have you cleared your Java cache? With kind regards, Michel -
kingwr, It does mean something: it's our best estimate of how long an operation should take based on a few factors including the time it takes to complete a command, the number of commands, and some adjustment for cases where they are communication issues. If you do have a lot of communication problems, then obviously the progress bar is going to keep restarting. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Rich, You will need to remove and add your ML back ensuring that you keep existing links: http://wiki.universal-devices.com/index ... orningLinc With kind regards, Michel

Hi jrini, Yes, go ahead please. Thanks so very much. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Paul, I think we'll need to take your case back to SmartHome and see what would like us to do and/or proceed. Please send an email tech@Universal-devices.com with your event viewer and I'll forward. Please note that I'll be off till Thursday so please excuse non-responsiveness. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Mike, Those errors explain everything. ISY is not being updated with information from WB consistently. So, the first thing I would do is to figure out why ISY has such problems getting out to the Internet. Things to check: if you have static IP address, please change it to DHCP and see whether or not there are any improvements. If your ISY is connected to the router through a switch, try connecting it directly to the router. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Paul, This is quite odd. So the program was in heat mode but the cool set point changed to an invalid value. This all happened after a program changed the fan mode. Is it possible to try and reproduce this but having the same parameters but, this time, use the Admin Console to change the fan state. If you see anomalies in the set point, please make sure that the thermostat actually shows the corrupted set point on its screen. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Mike, Something is not making sense here since I cannot at all reproduce this issue. Are you sure you are consistently getting WB data? Can you please look at your Tools | Error Log and look for -14xxx errors for domains related to weatherbug? With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi Walt N, You should have no problems connecting to PG&E meters. If you they have any questions/problems please have them contact us (support@universal-devices.com) and we'll take it from there. With kind regards, Michel

Hi rpsa, Thank you. The incorrect label comes from us and it has already been rectified. Please do be kind enough to rename it manually. With kind regards, Michel

Hi nlaredo, Of course you can have Z-Wave and SEP 1.1. This said, I think what you are looking for is Z-Wave, INSTEON, and SEP 1.1. For that, we need 3 (or more) ports which the current hardware does not support. Furthermore, Zigbee SEP is NOT interoperable with any other Zigbee so if we are ever lucky enough to have the APIs to NEST thermostat (Zigbee), then you need the 4th Zigbee radio just to talk to NEST. Obviously, if you use Multiple ISYs, then you can do all the above and that's the design approach we are taking. With kind regards, Michel

Hi Bob, Thanks so very much! Clear is the group command sent when the event has been cleared (either smoke or fire). The only thing you can do with this node is to either put them in a scene as a controller so that when clear is sent, you turn on/off something. Or, you can put them in a program based on Switched-On. I am not sure what malfunction and unknown messages do. With kind regards, Michel

Hi kingwr, It is possible to remove the load from one of them (hopefully you can just unscrew some light bulbs) and see whether or not there are any improvements? With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi wrj0, Got the capture. I'll review and let you know. With kind regards, Michel
-
Hi LeeG, you are 100% correct. At some point we should clean up everything. I think it would be better to start from scratch otherwise we are going to be left with more confusing and alternating versions of reality. With kind regards, Michel

Hello djones1415, Using File | Enable Internet Access does precisely what you are not crazy about. The only difference between the two methods is whether or not you want ISY to automatically do it (which is not stable) or you want to do it yourself (which lasts router reboots). Alternatively, you can use MobiLinc Connect service which relieves you from having to open any ports as ISY will make an outbound connection. With kind regards, Michel
