Trouble installing Network Module
Zellarman, I am not sure what you did in the telnet session (actually nothing is required if you use File | Enable Internet Access). We'd be delighted to help you setup port forwarding in your router. Please do be kind enough to call our tech support and schedule a tech session. With kind regards, Michel

Error 170001
Hi Tim, I need a huge favor from you: please make sure your AtHome and iPod/Pad are completely off (not connected to ISY) and then disconnect DSCLinc and let me know if you still have the same issue. I do appreciate it very much. The synposis is that something is opening a socket and never closes it. ISY keeps waiting for the socket to get closed but it does not. These are HTTP sockets so it would really help if we figure out if any of the external applications are causing this. Once that has been established, we can figure out what steps to take next. With kind regards, Michel

Cannot Communicate With ....
Hello Orest, The problem might be that your KPL is responding with a NACK. If you can query the device properly, then the only thing I can suggest is this: 1. Factory reset your KPL and then try the query again. If it gives you the same error while still working, then I suspect a defective KPL 2. If it works properly and without errors, then please right mouse click on the KPL and then choose Restore Device Is it possible that you have some programs that might be trying to communicate with this KPL simultaneously? With kind regards, Michel

Notification Does Not Work
Hello dnl, Unfortunately ISY does not currently support SSL. It supports TLS ... we do have plans for supporting SSL in our requirements but it does not have a high priority. With kind regards, Michel

Error 170001
Hi Tim, What else is communicating with your ISY except for the Admin Console? Do you have any mobile applications such as MobiLinc or Conductor? Do you have ELK? With kind regards, Michel

Trouble installing Network Module
Hello Zellarman, Did you by any chance upgrade the router's firmware? In some cases (and although I hate hearing it) routers need to be rebooted regularly (weekly) ... I have never had to reboot mine but would you please try rebooting the router and then try File | Enable Internet Access again. Please note that in all cases, it's always best to do port forwarding manually. With kind regards, Michel

Trouble installing Network Module
Zellarman, One has nothing to do with the other and I think you do not have the sequence of events correct: based on our records, you had to have someone local to your ISY install the modules since you could NOT access your ISY remotely. We can certainly disable the modules if you feel that has anything to do with the remote access issue but I just don't want you to waste time on things that I can say with 99.999% confidence have nothing to do with one another. With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.8.10 (RC6) Is Now Available
Hello jwagner010, Thanks so very much ... this gives us something to test with. May I ask how many resources you have? Hi Moshe, please do so. It's extremely extremely unlikely that a new firmware would have a negative impact on scene operations (ISY is not even in the loop). With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.8.10 (RC6) Is Now Available
Hello jwagner010, Would you be kind enough to try the Test button in the Network Resource panel and let me know if you have the same response time? In short, I want to figure out if the problem is network resources activating a resource or if the problem is that the evaluation of the trigger by the programs take longer. With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.8.10 (RC6) Is Now Available
Hi Moshe, Are any of the SwitchLincs version 35 (as reported by the Admin Console)? If so, there lies the problem. Otherwise, the problem is that the signals are not getting to your switches OR that one or more of your switches have loads that cause noise. You might want to remove the load from your devices (if possible) and see if scene test succeeds. With kind regards, Michel

Trouble installing Network Module
Hello Zellarman, Apologies for tardy reply. The problem is that basically ISY cannot get the remote IP from your router. Personally, I do not recommend using UPnP if you want to have reliable remote access to your ISY. Instead, I suggest disabling Internet Access (File | Disable Internet Access) on ISY and then configuring your router for manual port forwarding: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... o_Your_ISY Please review the section under Configuring Non UPnP Routers. Furthermore, you might want to get a Dynamic DNS account so that you would not have to remember your IP address and IP address changes are not going to make ISY inaccessible. With kind regards, Michel

trying to restore network resources
Thanks Lou. As far as Restore failing, I think it has to do with firewall ... I am tempted to ask you to try and restore again but let me do some more testing before we do anything else. With kind regards, Michel

New ISY 99i installation not working
Hello jlloyd_UD, I have to conclude as BrianH especially since PLM Status shows "not connected". The first thing I would do is to make sure the cable between ISY and the PLM are secure and if that fails, then I would ask for a replacement PLM. With kind regards, Michel

Release 2.8.10 (RC6) Is Now Available
Hello bcall, Apologies for tardy reply. Please try DFON (instead of DON) and see if that works. If it does, then the problem is that your ISY does not have the latest states for On Level (DON goes to the on level at the predefined ramp rate). Moshe, have you tried Scene Test on those scenes with problems? Do they all succeed? With kind regards, Michel

kpl keypadlinc flashing the load
Hi Mark, By load you mean the actual load is flashing? i.e the lamps? If so, the problem is surely electrical wiring related. I have seen this in two cases: 1. Older/defective SwitchLincs 2. The load is higher than the maximum supported wattage of the device I have never seen just the load LED (button A or ON) blinking. With kind regards, Michel

trying to restore network resources
Hello apostolakisl, Thanks so very much. I just tested this a few times and it works fine. Basically, this is what it should do: 1. Delete everything from network resources 2. Recreate them in the order they were in the table before the export Did the Admin Console first remove all the other entries before doing a restore? With kind regards, Michel

Hello rubin, Thanks so very much!!! This is excellent. trying to restore network resources
apostolakisl, Restore MUST use the same IDs. Import does not. So, this must be a bug. Are you on 2.8.10? With kind regards, Michel
