  1. Hello ubuntulinuxuser, Is your ISY remotely accessible? If so, would you be kind enough to reset the credentials to admin/admin and then send your ISY's URL to support@universal-devices.com? With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hi Tim, I think this might be related to noise on the powerline. If PLM does not blink and ISY does not blink, then you would not see anything in the log and/or event viewer. The entries you see are program evaluation events and unrelated. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hello ubuntulinuxuser, If this happens in both Windows and Linux, then ISY might be in DOS mode. Please do be kind enough to reboot your ISY and retry (as you suggested). With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hi arzoo, please make sure you have 2.8.10 installed: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=5613 With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hello arzoo, Please go to Help | About and make sure you have firmware version 2.8.10. If not, please do be kind enough to upgrade: http://forum.universal-devices.com/viewtopic.php?t=5613 With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hi Harold, In fact this information is in our Advanced Configuration Guide. Most user functions in the shell are also available in the Admin Console. If you have problems setting up your system, we'll be delighted to help you. Please do not hesitate to contact us with your questions/concerns/comments. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello dennisric, Please do the following: 1. Telnet to your ISY ( http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... ing_Telnet ) 2. Login 3. Issue: RF /CONF/MAIL/1.NOT Once you have backed up successfully, then please upgrade to 2.8.10!!! With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi Tom, No problem at all and I am sorry to hear that you are having such a difficult time. First of all, I think what you need is an All Off/All On scene (not a program): 1. Put KPL button D as a controller 2. Put everything else as a responder 3. Click on the KPL button D in this new scene, and adjust desired on level/ramp rate for each responder 4. If you want button D to only turn the scene off, then, go to My Lighting, choose KPL Button D, at the bottom center of the screen choose Button Toggle Mode and make this button Toggle Off With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hello ubuntulinuxuser! Please do make sure that you have the latest Java installed. There were some reported errors with Java 1.6 not being installed correctly in Ubuntu. Then: 1. Please go to http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.10/admin.jnlp 2. On the ISY Finder dialog, click on the Add button 3. In the ensuing dialog, enter https://your.isy.ip.address 4. Close the Admin Console 5. Double click on the 99i Admin Console icon on your desktop (or wherever it was saved in step 1) 6. Choose the https listing instead (double click) With kind regards, Michel
  10. Hi Harold, Please scroll down on the link that BrianH sent you and look for: Connecting to the ISY Shell Using the Serial Port. You will find all parameters there, namely: 115200, 8, 1, N . With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hello boatfevor, From ISY to PLM, it has to be within 50 ft. From ISY to router, about 300 ft. With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hi Dan, If your MEM/ERR lights come on simultaneously, then the problem is that ISY cannot get to the network. We'd be delighted to take a look at your system and see what's causing the problem. If you wish, please submit a ticket to http://www.universal-devices.com/contact.htm and we'll figure it what's causing the problems. With kind regards, Michel
  13. Hello JodyO819, I do not think that your ISY is actually getting out to the Internet. The best test would be to use the Synchronize button under NTP settings (Configuration | System tab). If you have setup a static IP address for your ISY, some routers may block access to devices that are NOT DHCP enabled. If your router supports DHCP reservations, it would be best to make ISY have a DHCP address and then put reservations in the router. If you are still having problems, please contact our tech support team and we'll remote in to your computer and do the configurations for you. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hello simonsez, Currently, the only way to do date based (without year) is to have a program with multiple date/year combination or'ed together. For instance: If Time is from 11/15/2010 to 12/01/2010 OR Time is from 11/15/2010 to 12/01/2011 etc. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hello arzoo, Your scenes and programs are sound. The only thing I would do is to remove the Else path and, if necessary, create another program to set the LED off. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello CopyRon, Please submit a ticket ( http://www.universal-devices.com/contact.htm ) and we'll figure it out for you. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hello all, Apologies for a tardy reply. First of all, for those of you who see Writing icon, please make sure you do not have any programs that change the scene settings for those devices. As far as losing RF links, please do contact our tech support team and will try to get to the root cause. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hello CopyRon, This means that your router does not support UPnP. You might want to do the port forwarding manually: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... o_Your_ISY With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hello JodyO819, I think apostolakisl has answered all your questions. Here's the link for instructions for port forwarding: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... o_Your_ISY If you have any problems, please contact our tech support and we'll help you configure it. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi John, What you need to do is this: 1. Remove the thermostat from ISY 2. Do a factory reset on the thermostat 3. Make sure the thermostat is in the Off mode 4. Go to Link Management | Start Linking and then click and hold the set button on the thermostat dongle With kind regards, Michel

  23. Hello junkycosmos, 1. The answer is no 2. The answer is no (one way which defeats the purpose) We have not been able to try with more than one Lock. With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hi MatthewInOk ... please send us an email (support@Universal-devices.com) and we'll try to figure out what's causing the error. Hi LeeG, your system has not been upgraded to 2.8.10. Can you please go to Java | Security | Certificates and let me know how many certificates you see for Universal Devices AND please click on each and check the Validity property. Thanks in advance and with kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello bbb2008, In the tree on the left pane, you should see 4 devices (nodes) for each thermostat as follows: 1. Main 2. Cool 3. Heat 4. Fan When you click on the Main, you will see what you are describing to the right. The other three devices (nodes) can be used as controllers in other scenes. But, if you do not have these 4 devices, then either your thermostat is not V2 (In the Admin Console, the version for the thermostat should be v91 or above) OR you have not added them correctly. Is v28 on the thermostat or is it what ISY reports? If this is what ISY reports, then the problem is that you do not have a v2 Thermostat. If you wish to have a screenshot, please send an email to support@universal-devices.com . With kind regards, Michel
