  1. Hi Tom, The major issue is that all KPL dimmer buttons do in fact support bright and dim and thus it would be a little difficult to have a button act as an on/off and the other as Dim/Brighten. To use buttons in a scene, you simply drag and drop them into the scene (one scene) both as controllers and then you adjust on level/ramp rate for all the responders in that scene for each specific button. With kind regards, Michel
  2. Hello Art, Would you please open the Event Viewer on the last level and retry. Then copy and paste the output to here and we'll see what's going on. With kind regards, Michel
  3. Hello Jim, Thanks so very much for the update. I did use port 587 with notifications and I still had 100% success rate (so they support both ports). I'll keep an eye on this situation though. Hello jcanter, I tested our Brultech meter with this release and everything works fine UNLESS the polling interval is lower than 10 seconds in which case Brultech still assumes the connection is active (it can only support one connection). Would you be kind enough to try a longer interval and let me know if you still get failures? With kind regards, Michel
  4. Hello ingeborgdot, There's basically two cases: either your KPL supports this feature or it does not! Most older KPLs (v 2A and below) do not support this feature. There has been reports of newer versions not supporting this feature either but we have not been able to verify. Now, the backlight is the determined by two levels: 1. The level of the LED brightness when the LED is off 2. The level of the LED brightness when the LED is on The confusing part is that #2 is a function of #1. i.e. whatever you do with #1 impacts #2 and unfortunately the only way to figure out what you need is by trial and error. With kind regards, Michel
  5. Hello Jeremy, Apologies for the inconvenience. The latest IRLinc TX firmware does not work with ISY. What you need is version .91 and SmartHome has agreed to flash the firmware with that version for those who are interested. With kind regards, Michel
  6. Hello polexian, Have not received any feedback from SmartHome yet ... didn't want to delay the beta while waiting for SmartHome. With kind regards, Michel
  7. Hello jcanter, Apologies for the inconvenience. Haven't yet been able to reproduce but we are on top of it. With kind regards, Michel
  8. Hi Jim, Would you be kind enough to increase the timeout a little and let me know. Unfortunately I have not yet figured out how to create a Mobile Me account without having an iPhone/iPod. I'll keep trying. EDIT: I just created an me.com account and everything works fine. Please note the following: Port: 25 (not 587) From: must be the same as userid (in my case, uditech@me.com) Timeout: 1000 or more TLS: not checked With kind regards, Michel
  9. Hello Candide, Based on http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/verizon/mail ... op-11.html, you should NOT use TLS for outgoing mail (never). With kind regards, Michel
  10. robandcatchy, Do you have loads on those devices? With kind regards, Michel
  11. Hello Jim and Candide, would you be kind enough to open the Error Log and let me know the SMTP error you are getting. Previously, we would try to methods of authentication which made everything slower. In this release, we actually try to figure out what the server supports. Also, what happens if you increase the timeout? With kind regards, Michel
  12. Hello all, Release 2.8.7 RC3 is now available. Although this firmware has been tested thoroughly, please note that this is still a beta firmware. Please do be kind enough to : 1. Test programs especially those that activate notifications 2. Test notifications 3. Test stability and observe any type of network anomaly 4. Checkout UI enhancements and fixes For a list of changes, please take a look at this post: http://forum.universal-devices.com/view ... =6475#6475 Please note that ISY-26 is no longer included in the firmware builds. Instructions 1. Please backup your ISY (File | Backup ISY) 2. Please download the firmware for your platform - please do not unzip ISY 99 Only - http://www.universal-devices.com/update ... _2.8.7.zip 3. It is very important that you use your current ISY's Admin Console to perform the upgrade by going to your http://your.isy.ip.address/admin. For MAC users, if upgrade fails, please try https://your.isy.ip.address/admin 4. Login to the Admin Console and choose Help | Manually Upgrade [the name of your system] 5. Choose the file saved in step 2 6. After the upgrade, ISY reboots. Please do ensure to clear your Java Cache: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... Java_Cache 7. IMPORTANT Once upgrade is completed and ISY reboots, use any of the following methods to access your ISY's Admin Console: a. http://isy/admin - applet (Windows only) b. http://isy/admin.jnlp - Java application (Windows only) c. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin - applet d. http://your.isy.ip.address/admin.jnlp - Java application e. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.7 - applet f. http://www.universal-devices.com/99i/2.8.7/admin.jnlp - Java application 8. IMPORTANT If you have already installed a self signed certificate and your current firmware is 2.7.10 and below, you must reinstall a new one: http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... rtificates IMPORTANT Due to the sensitive nature of supporting MorningLinc, users now must agree to terms and conditions upon Admin Console start up otherwise the dialog keeps popping up every time the Admin Console is started. Thanks and with kind regards, Michel
  13. Hi robandcathy, First, please do as LeeG suggests. Secondly, on newer version of LampLincs and ApplianceLincs, if you do not have a load attached, you will get comm errors when you try to turn things on/off. With kind regards, Michel
  14. Hello farm, I do understand your disappointment but I have to make sure your comments are answered for other users: 1. The hardware is not low end ... the hardware uses top of the line 32 bit CPU and state of the art operating system not found anywhere else with support for SD Card file systems built in and optimized for network operations. I am not sure how you arrived at that conclusion 2. The interface is not ancient. The interface has been built for functional purposes of easily creating and managing scenes. The interface was not designed to be pretty. For that you have a choice of many third party interfaces Now, if you are still interested in getting things to work, please do ensure that you have both 32 bit and 64 bit versions of Java installed (as LeeG suggested), clear your Java cache, reboot ISY, and retry. If you are still having problems, we'll be delighted to login to your system and try and figure out what's causing all the issues. All you have to do is to contact our tech support team. With kind regards, Michel
  15. Hello SlackGator, I totally understand ... in 2.8.0 and above, we added support for most of EZxxx devices. You might want to try forcing ISY to consider your EZUIRT as EZSnSRF and see if it works. With kind regards, Michel
  16. Hello all, I just wanted to give you a quick update: custom notifications took a little longer in testing/regression and thus we will have to push back the release date to this Sunday (12/05/2010). I do apologize for the inconvenience. With kind regards, Michel
  17. Hello polexian, You can always query thermostats but the conditional you are referring to requires variables which we do not yet support. With kind regards, Michel
  18. Hello art, With pleasure! With kind regards, Michel
  19. Hi guys, I am so very sorry for the inconvenience. I just didn't want to have too many releases in a span of a few days. Still waiting for SmartHome on the backlight but in the meantime we are now testing custom notifications. We should have a drop by tomorrow in either case. With kind regards, Michel
  20. Hi art, We have tested Beep function with multiple products; the only problem is that the duration range is so low that one would hardly notice the difference between 1 and 255. With kind regards, Michel
  21. Hi art, Unfortunately there are no such parameters in ISY and we do not have any requirements (thus far) to support such a feature except for some indication on the UI. With kind regards, Michel
  22. Hi Curt, Thanks for the detailed reply. Am I to assume that no longer to you see the blinking mem/error lights? Also, are you certain that your ISY is on the same subnet as the rest of your network? What you might want to do - and if you have a null modem cable - is to connect to ISY using the serial port using Hyperterminal ( http://www.universal-devices.com/mwiki/ ... _ISY_Shell ) and then make your ISY use DHCP (using shell command CT). If that fixes the problem, then we know that we the problem is IP assignment related. With kind regards, Michel
  23. Hello Curt, Thanks so very much! Err/Mem light blinking every few seconds indicate network issue: either your ISY is NOT connected properly to your router/switch OR your router is NOT providing your ISY with an IP address (if you are using DHCP). Would you be kind enough to check the connection between the Network port on your ISY to your router? With kind regards, Michel
  24. Hello BoydG, Unfortunately I think you have a defective RTC on your unit. Please do be kind enouhg to RMA the unit through the place you purchased it from. I do apologize ... this must be quite frustrating. With kind regards, Michel
  25. Hello BoydG, I do apologize for the inconvenience. Can you give me a sampling of the random times you get? If you have cleared your Java cache, and if you are still having the same issue, would you be kind enough to contact our tech support team? You might have a defective hardware and we'll be able to ascertain if this is indeed the case. Again, sincere apologies for the inconvenience. With kind regards, Michel
