  1. @jduino If you exactly followed the replace PLM instructions (see attached) and you're still having issues then try doing a restore PLM Replace PLM Procedure (EISY or POLISY).pdf
  2. @creeble The red exclamation point to the left of a device means the PLM can't communicate with the device. It sounds like you have marginal communications between your ISY and your device(s), take a look at this troubleshooting link. https://wiki.universal-devices.com/INSTEON:_Troubleshooting_Communications_Errors
  3. INSTEON Random All On Events - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki also, if you have any MS their low battery condition can cause an all on event
  4. Do you have the UD Mobile app installed your phone, it has the WiFi configuration/setup for the EISY
  5. Being that you're using a new/different PLM on your EISY you need to exactly follow the replace PLM guidelines for your EISY. See attached The reason nothing is working is because your EISY is currently programmed with the serial PLM and doesn't yet reconize the USB PLM Replace PLM Procedure (EISY or POLISY).pdf
  6. That's correct, if there were links missing or corrupted they would be displayed when you run compare
  7. Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp This will install a new IoX Launcher on your desktop
  8. What exactly are you trying to accomplish? Is your eisy currently on ethernet or WiFi
  9. Do a restore device for one of the devices that's missing links. If that corrects the issue for that device then repeat for the others.
  10. One last thing to try - remove power from the PLM and the ISY. Wait about 30 seconds then power up the PLM, wait about 15 seconds then power up the ISY
  11. I agree with @paulbates, guess I missed your screenshot of the PLM. @62vetteefp Have you tried a restore PLM
  12. @62vetteefp The problem is not with your PLM or your ISY Your firmware and UI must be the same version. Your screenshot shows your firmware at 4.9.0 and your UI at 4.7.3. You need to clear your java cache, be sure to check all three boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here. This will update your UI to 4.9.0 https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  13. Zigbee operates in the industrial, scientific and medical (ISM) radio bands. With the 2.4 GHz band being primarily used for lighting and home automation devices in most jurisdictions worldwide. While devices for commercial utility metering and medical device data collection often use sub-GHz frequencies, (902-928 MHz in North America, Australia, and Israel, 868-870 MHz in Europe, 779-787 MHz in China, even those regions and countries still using the 2.4 GHz for most globally sold Zigbee devices meant for home use. With data rates varying from around 20 kbit/s for sub-GHz bands to around 250 kbit/s for channels on the 2.4 GHz band range). Zigbee uses a low power mesh network protocol (802.15.4), so it's possible that @tjkintz may need addional devices to improve his network communications.
  14. I've not had any experience with Zigbee. It's possible that the European version uses a different coding than the U.S. version. It's probably best to open a support ticket with UDI. https://www.universal-devices.com/my-tickets
  15. The backup process was greatly improved in the current firmware, the process is now almost instantaneous.
  16. Once it's no longer in water you have to press the set button on the leak detector to reset the status to dry.
  17. Not sure if the ZST39 is compatible but if it is, the 800 series has longer range than the previous versions but your zwave network would be contstained by the devices that are not the 800 series. You could open a support ticket with UD to find out if it's compatible. I've attached the 800 series datasheet. Zwave 800 datasheet.pdf
  18. Its best to use a reserved address rather than a static address
  19. Glad you got it resolved. Make sure you have DHCP enabled on your router. Your ISY should have shown up in the admin console.
  20. The cable between the PLM and the ISY has different pin connections than the stock ethernet cables. From the UDI Wiki ISY Launcher cannot find ISY Make certain that you are using ISY Launcher. This is a MUST If you have VPN software running, Admin Console cannot search for ISY on your computer. Please disable the VPN, find ISY's IP address and then click the Add button and enter it manually Make certain that, after reboot, the pattern of lights is as described here If you have recently changed your modem/router, please follow these instructions If you have any firewall software, make sure it's configured properly If all the above have been checked, it's almost a guarantee that that your ISY is not on the same network as your computer. Perhaps at some point you might have configured ISY with a static IP address. Or, that your WiFi network is not connected to the wired network. ISY Not Found If IoX Launcher cannot find your device (ISY994 [EOL], Polisy, eisy): Most importantly, you need to reinstall the IoX Launcher VPN software is running on your computer or you're on a VPN network Unit is not on the same network as your computer. Perhaps you changed routers? If so: follow these instructions If not #1, please open your router page and see whether or not you see ISY994-EMS (for ISY994 [EOL]), polisy (for Polisy), or eisy (for eisy) in the list of LAN clients. If you find the IP address, then, in IoX Finder, click on the Add button and enter ISY994: http://1.2.3.4/desc (replace 1.2.3.4 with the actual IP of ISY in the router) Polisy/eisy: https://1.2.3.4:8443/desc (replace 1.2.3.4 with the actual IP of Polisy/eisy in the router) If not #2, then perhaps the unit is not powering on: ISY994: Please make sure the LED pattern is as outlined here Polisy: Reboot the unit, all 3 LEDs should get lit and then only the left most is lit. Wait for 30-60 seconds. You may hear a beep. eisy: Reboot the unit, allow 2-3 minutes for everything to boot and stabilize before attempting to open IoX Launcher If not #3, the issue is that you might have firewall/VPN or antivirus software (especially VPN) blocking network communications.
  21. The IoX Launcher is 100% compatible with your computer. Are you running a firewall or antivirus software? Post a screen shot after you've clicked on the IoX Launcher
  22. What computer are you using, and what windows/apple software? Do you have the IoX Launcher on your desktop
  23. Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes (see attached) , then download the latest version of the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp Your ISY should show up in the launcher. Let me know if that resolves your issue.
  24. The ISY994 was discontinued and is no longer supported. The license fee is optional, and is for the ISY remote portal. If you access your ISY only from home then that can be done with the IoX Launcher for which there is no fee. The cable from the PLM to the ISY is a custom cable that was furnished with the PLM, not a standard cat5 cable. If, in the future, you want to add newer Zwave and Insteon devices, and you would like to access your devices from a smartphone using the free UD Mobile app, then you probably need the EISY along with the Zwave option and the portal.
  25. The low voltage transformers are capable of creating noise on the power line. All you need is for one to go bad. Best to try process of elimination as you suggested.
