You would use a program to trigger whatever you're trying to turn on or off, i.e. IF Status Switch energy current > .1 amp Then Do whatever Else
  2. Techman replied to matapan's topic in Insteon
@matapan Another option is the ZOOZ ZEN15 which has more flexible reporting options

The smart plug displays current power, etc. You can use one of those parameters to trigger a program. The only downside is it can only report every minute so there could be a delay Watt Report Threshold Parameter 5: Choose how you want your Smart Plug to report power consumption to your hub. The number entered as value corresponds to the number of Watts the appliance needs to go over for the change to be reported. So if 5 Watts are entered by default, the Smart Plug will report any change in power usage over 5 Watts (whether it’s at least 5 Watts more or 5 Watts less compared to the previous report). Values for 700 series: 5 – 50. Default: 5. Values for 800 series: 0 - disabled; 1-100. Default: 5. Size: 1 byte dec Watt Report Frequency Parameter 6: The number entered as value corresponds to the number of minutes. So if 5 is entered by default, the Smart Plug will report power consumption (Wattage) every 5 minutes. Values: 1 – 65535. Default: 5 (minutes). Size: 4 bytes dec

Yes, it's backwards compatible with Zwave 700 and the ISY994 500
  5. Techman replied to matapan's topic in Insteon
The older and discontinued modules have older firmware and hardware. Some modules have power supplies that can be repaired but in the long run you're better off using the newer insteon modules or zwave. Zwave has numeous options that replace the Synchrolinc and most have firmware that can be updated by the end user. Here's a zwave replacement for the Synchrolinc: Zooz ZEN04 Smart Plug – ZOOZ
  6. @jlloyd_UD It's down to a process of elimination: If you log into PG3 there's an option in each node server to "stop" it You should stop each server to see if the issue still exists, if it doesn't then start one node server at a time to narrow things down. Do you have any insteon battey operated devices, if so what are they?
  7. @jlloyd_UD When you did the factory reset on your devices did you folllow the procedure below: Factory Reset Factory Reset clears all user settings from the device including INSTEON scenes, on-levels, ramp rates, X10 addresses, etc. 1) With a small screwdriver or your fingernail, pull out Set button to create an air gap 2) Wait 10 seconds 3) Push in Set button and hold. Do not let go Keypad will begin to emit a long beep 4) When the beep stops, release the Set button. Device’s embedded software will rewrite all settings to factory defaults A couple of seconds will pass Device will double-beep and its LEDs will return to normal brightness The connected load will turn on and the device will return to ready mode
  8. Did the lights still come on with the eisy unplugged? Did you factory reset one of the devices that was randomly coming on, if so does it still randomly come on? Are the devices that randomly come on dual band or single band devices Have you added any new electronic devices in your house in the last month?
  9. Your config file looks normal and is up to date. Is the green led on your PLM on? The restore PLM That you did which stopped at 2% is not normal. You could try unplugging the eisy and leave the PM plugged in to narrow the problem down to either the eisy data file or the PLM
  10. @jlloyd_UD It's possible that your device(s) link tables became cross linked. A factory reset /restore device would correct that. In your log do you see any activity just before the light comes on? Run the link below which will display your eisy configuration and post it https://eisy.local:8443/WEB/sysconfig.txt You can also try removing power from the PLM and the eisy for about 30 seconds, then power up the PLM, wait about 10 seconds then power up the eisy.
  11. @jlloyd_UD If you're seeing the on command for the light(s) in your log then it's most likely not connected to an all on event. I would focus on a program that's probably turning on the light(s) Take a look at your program summary tab to see if a program ran at the same time your light(s) turned on. It's also possible that the link tables for the light(s) got corrupted. Try doing a factory reset on the light(s) then a restore device
  12. One last thing you can try. Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp (this will install the IoX Launcher icon on your desktop) then try running update packages again. If you don't get positive results then it's best to open a support ticket.
  13. Are you upgrading from the IoX Launcher? Try removing power from the polisy for about 30 seconds then try "upgrade packages" again Your config.sys file is missing a lot of information, not sure why.
  14. Take a look at this article INSTEON Random All On Events - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki You should also do an "upgrade packages" on your eisy which will update you to 6.0.0 and contains substantial upgrades/improvements over your current firmware.
  15. Techman replied to Techman's topic in eisy-ui
    I haven't upgraded yet, I'm at 0.5.9
  16. Techman replied to Techman's topic in eisy-ui
@bmercier Thank you What's is the current version of eisy-ui. I think I have an older version as there is no version showing at the bottom of eisy-ui
  17. Techman replied to Techman's topic in eisy-ui
The sysconfig.txt file doesn't show the installed version of eisyui. There's a separate command to view the installed version of eisyui with its release notes
  18. Techman posted a topic in eisy-ui
What's the SSH command to view the installed eisyui version
  19. If you click on 'My profile" can you add the UUID of the polisy in the "my preferred ISY" box
  20. Are you sure you stil lhave an active portal account, you should have additional tabs Do you have the "My Profile" button at the upper right
  21. @ta2four Take a look at these troubleshooting tips. Your issues appear to be with communications between the devices and your PLM. INSTEON: Troubleshooting Communications Errors - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki INSTEON Signal / Noise Troubleshooting - Universal Devices, Inc. Wiki https://youtu.be/NMx5yHTU2g4
  22. Clear your java cache, be sure to check all 3 boxes, then download the IoX Launcher from here: https://isy.universal-devices.com/start.jnlp
  23. @paulw Once you're up and running could you post the steps you took to get it resolved.
  24. Is the network led on the back of the eisy lit? It sounds like an ethernet cable issue. Try removing power from the eisy for about 30 seconds
  25. The admin console wasn't designed to be left on for extended periods. Your error could be caused by a screen saver or your system going into a low power state.
